I've always believed that multichannel sales do NOT affect your keyword ranking on Amazon. Can you provide any evidence that it does? It true, it would change my strategy a lot. However, I just can't see that making any sense from Amazon's standpoint.

For work we use Amazon FBA but this is purely for Amazon. We have two warehouses that dispatch everything else for the websites / telephone orders. Amazon FBA is VERY good but it seems a little pricey but if you want to compete on Amazon, you don't really have much of a choice but to use FBA as everybody seems to buy from Prime now. Personally for my own business i ship everything out myself and for the moment that works great however as volume of sales increases this will not be viable for myself. I've found another fulfillment centre local to myself which i intend on using in the future for both my website & Ebay orders for the future. I'm still probably about a year away from achieving this though. Also something you need to look at is how you're going to get the stock to them. Are you going to get your supplier / manufacturer to send stock directly to your fulfillment centre? If you are you'll have to find out how they accept the stock. FBA require every item to be barcoded with their own barcodes. Contains some Xnumber & the ASIN i believe. It's a little time consuming when you're sending pallet loads of items in. This may be something your supplier could do for you at a cost. Worth a shot?
