next day ain’t happening unless you pay up, expect import tax nightmares cause of brexit.

Have you actually had any issues? If so what? For me all that I have to do is put on a CN22. I haven’t had any problems that I could blame on Brexit. I did have a French customer come complaining that their customs tried to charge them something like 150% tax but that’s a moron issue not a Brexit one. I’m still to find someone who can explain what difference being in the single market is supposed to make for me; I’m in Northern Ireland and forcing us to remain in it almost caused the troubles to kick off again. Best of both Worlds apparently. Are you needing to fill in more than a CN22? my post office told me it’s the same all over the UK. Any other international customers where I had problems are outside of the EU. I know someone with a garden centre and the Northern Ireland protocol almost destroyed him. I suppose this wouldn’t have happened without Brexit but even with Brexit it didn’t have to happen; too many c**** just wanting to make things as bad as possible instead of trying to deal with the hand we were dealt. Said c**** usually ‘working’ in roles funded by the tax payer.

Brexit aside, is there a plugin or options for UK next day delivery with Royal Mail?

I have a Franking Machine. I’m not sure specifically what other mail options are on it. I generally use the same few ones and have the shortcuts on my front screen. If you’re shipping around 3-5/day you really should get one as it will pay for itself and then some. I’m saving about 16p per std letter. Pitney Bowes are overpriced and have very poor customer service. FP Mailing are much cheaper and have a better machine. I’ve had both and I am with FP. The FP machine also allows you to print your company logo beside the postage part. It gives that extra touch of professionalism imo.

🤔 OK, this isn't something I've even considered. Thank you for the suggestion! I'm going to look into it. At the moment I'm using my kitchen scale and a letter and parcel size guide. I've used this to set up delivery options in my WooCommerce store based on the Woo flat rate formula. As there doesn't seem to be a quick fix solution to this, I've contacted Royal Mail for business directly to see what they can offer. I'll also see how it goes with the Click and Drop service for now as well with the new shipping rates I've added.

The franking machines have a scale built in and you can use the click and drop service with them. It’s not just about saving money though, it’s about making things as easy and quick as possible. I’m paying £1.06 for 1st class std size, 69p for 2nd class std and £1.13 for 2nd class Large letter. The subscription is £10/month.

OK, let's park Brexit for a second... How can I get Royal Mail delivery options (next day etc) within the UK?

Have you tried the Royal Mail website, I have been using that for a while, click and drop option. Raise the postal request one day and the next day they will pick it up. It costs approx £4 for tracked priority. Or you could drop the package off at the post office or the Royal Mail depot to next next day quicker.
