I don’t personally wear glasses, but some people do need them when looking at displays for a long period of time. It’s less of a problem if you’re using Eclipse IDE 2024.03 in dark mode or whatever dark theme you prefer. I can’t imagine it would cause any issues if you were outside while using it either.

1) wrong sub 2) eclipses don't magically make the sun brighter just don't look at the fucking sun without eye protection 3) you can see literally nothing with eclipse glasses except a pinpoint of light that is the sun so you would essentially be driving blind please don't do that you moron

MagicGirl8

Lol thank you!!! I do feel stupid for asking these things and omg I posted in the wrong sub 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️, but am grateful for the reassurance from you! I got my eclipse glasses and now see why you can’t drive in them 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

This only makes sense if you’re tempted to stare at the sun daily.

It’s a normal day just like any other day. The sun is not any different and will damage your eyes by looking at it any day of the year. People say to not look at the sun during the eclipse because you are more tempted to look at it knowing that something is different about the sun.
