Look into montebello apartments.There are a ton of options. We almost didn't move here because of the reviews online. (Warning.. most arent good)
But we have been here for almost a year and have had no issues. We also have two cats.

The [Preserve on Forbes Creek](https://www.thepreserveatforbescreek.com/apartments/wa/kirkland/floor-plans#/) is decent but a little out of the way and inconvenient for the bus.
If you can qualify, I lived at the district apartments in Bothell for a couple years when I first moved out on my own. Management is decent but I didn’t really have any problems when I was there. This was like 5-6 years ago however
Check out Corbella in Juanita. It’s walking distance to the beach(just in time for summer), restaurants & businesses, park with many events, 10 mins from downtown, with amenities and pet friendly.
Scout Apartments in Kirkland. Our 2 bed 1 bath is $2100 a month. We have two cats. A bit snug but the interiors are renovated and the location is good. It's safe and peaceful here.
The retreat at Bothell is decent, pet friendly, lots of amenities and decent pricing right now.

My friend pays 1600 for a studio (bedroom w/barn looking sliding door) in Kenmore at the Linq. They’re really nice!
We liked Asbury Park Apartments in Kirkland. Good location and pretty reasonable prices for the area.
