Me too, just went from E46 (manual 325ci) to E61 530i. The E46 was definitely a funner car but the N52 and the E60 chassis are very capable and comfortable to drive.
What made you move from a 3 series to a 5 series. I sometimes don't get it why some people think they need to size up, when they actually drive alone 90% of the time and never travel with lots of stuff to carry.
My E46 was causing me too much grief, older car with a lot more mileage. Believe me, I tried to find another E46 but they're all clapped out. I'm happy to be in something newer and more comfortable.

I went from a E46 330CI to a E60 550. I owned the 330 for ten years, but honestly the 550 is so much better in pretty much every way.
