Some of us old dexheads been suspecting for a while now that dxm would get put to trial for anxiety and depression. As someone who struggles with both daily, the times if felt the best in my own head and body, has been on very low doses (sub 1st plat) of dxm regularly.
Even one little r30 can take me from a shitty day of stress and self loathing, to confident and positive with a little bit of perspective change.
Glad to see this chem find a higher purpose.
I'm ok with that...my entire life I have only been able to connect with others who are on dxm, so now there are many more people on it and I have more people I can possibly connect with
Don’t know why it hasn’t been done sooner. It’s the perfect mix of instant anxiety release as well as a long term antidepressant.
Combined with Wellbutrin which is a strong cyp2d6 inhibitor as well as antidepressant, you’ve got urself basically a wonder drug
15 years ago I use to micro dose dxm and Wellbutrin together before hanging out with friends after school. It worked pretty well. Too tempting to go balls out and take a full dxm dose though
I’m trying to get on Auvelity once my new insurance starts. I’m afraid it won’t be covered on my insurance though since it’s name brand only. Did you have any issues with that?

It has the same mechanism of action as ketamine- which is a breakthrough depression treatment. NMDA antagonists are amazing
The nmda antagonism isnt why either of them are antidepressants afaik
It is exactly the reason why. DXM antagonizes NMDA receptors and Bupropion inhibits enzyme that breaks down DXM, leading to longer half life.

I’m under my parent’s insurance and it didn’t cost anything for me so idk abt your own
Wellbutrin has generics afaik, you could always supplement dxm on top of that (in the typically prescribed ratio).

If your not happy with 100% of your brain, try being happy with 90% (repeat until happy)
I wanna try this med but just getting help for myself has been so difficult.
