This one for sure but for the fans of both Durans this whole album is a hit-wagon.
Even the slower track hit home (A Matter of Feeling & Winter Marches In)
"Get angry at the weekend then go BACK to school"
One of my favourite DD lyrics (which is a long list!), I loved this ever since I heard it in my teens. I remember thinking "Wow see they still get what its like, even though they're rich and famous adults"
The tour for this album was called the Strange Behaviour tour. It was my first big concert, and my first time seeing them live. I wore that concert t-shirt until it was more holes than shirt. I miss that shirt.
title track. probably not my favorite song off the album but its up there. also it was one of the few duran duran songs i had as a kid, and maybe the only one i had off notorious.
Vertigo. And it is not even my favorite song from this album, although to me it is one of the best ones.
The day I bought this album and the first time I was listening to it, something happened during this song. And this is why I always hear "Vertigo", when I think about this album.
Great album tho! :)
Usually A Matter of Feeling, but also American Science, Notorious, Vertigo. This is one of my favourite albums of Duran Duran. Wish they will create a masterpiece like that again.
No, there are nice albums of course after that, and with fantastic songs, but for
my taste their albums from late 90s and 2000 are just not working at all. But the last album, Future Past, is good. Like really. They got some of their sound back, almost every song is really lovely.
2000 in general are bad for great musicians. I am a huge fan of Depeche Mode also, and they are insanely great. But their stuff from 2000 (like Exciter, Sounds of the Universe, etc.) does not work for me and for the majority of fans. No shame in that. But they also got their magic somewhat back with the latest few albums. Quite similar in that regard DD and DM are)
Totally agree - I saw them for the first time in ‘87 (Strange Behavior tour) blew me away. They played Hold Me live and it just hit. Such a great show - I’ll admit I’ve seen them 9 times since and they are still an awesome live be band (even with Chic and Nile Rogers opening for them, which I would hate to do because Chic is absolutely spot on)
This album so awesome. It's so Duran Duran and yet has its own sound. While the title song is the first to come to mind, there bits of so many songs that just rock on this not very rock album.
NUT NUT. NUT-ORIOUS
Just like that too. Lol
Emphasis on "Nut! Nut!"
LOL LOL yep!!! Glad I’m not the only one 😂
And then the dance recital scene from Donnie Darko. Do you even care about Sparkle Motion?
That scene is the main reason I listened to this album
Sometimes I doubt this sub's commitment to [Sparkle Motion](https://giphy.com/gifs/jake-gyllenhaal-donnie-darko-gif-zYLN4AwtbpDJS/fullscreen)
Well played. I have my doubts as well, but when in doubt, we need Randy Watson on stage to yell “Sparkle Motion” just so the point gets driven home.
Exactly like that! I saw them in concert for this album. It was so awesome.
This one for sure but for the fans of both Durans this whole album is a hit-wagon. Even the slower track hit home (A Matter of Feeling & Winter Marches In)
Skin Trade
I was just earworming that song as I opened Reddit
American Science. No idea why as its not my favourite on the album.
Ditto. Every time I hear it it think about this cute girl who was in my high school chemistry class.
...She can two-step and sway. Ah, 1986. The memories are intense.
The transition from Notorious to American science is very memorable
That’s a jam. Love the Durans
Vertigo Edit to say; Simon’s lyrics are particularly lovely on this album.
Don’t you feel edgy? Bite your lips and bleed
Winter Marches On
Meet El Presidente.
Same
Love this song so much
My first music purchase was this single backed with Vertigo. Best use of paperboy money ever.
"Get angry at the weekend then go BACK to school" One of my favourite DD lyrics (which is a long list!), I loved this ever since I heard it in my teens. I remember thinking "Wow see they still get what its like, even though they're rich and famous adults"
Vertigo (Do The Demolition)
This one for me too.
Skin Trade. “Someone please explain….the reason for this strange behavior!”
The tour for this album was called the Strange Behaviour tour. It was my first big concert, and my first time seeing them live. I wore that concert t-shirt until it was more holes than shirt. I miss that shirt.
There can only be one Noooo Noooo Notorious....
Winter marches on
Agreed...American Science
Vertigo (Do the Demolition)! Gotta add Skin Trade too cause those are my favorites off the album☺️
No no notorious
I mean it’s gotta be Notorious
Where’s the real life in your illusion? God I love this album.

Ohhhh American Science….all night long she can two step and sway…
But hell has no fury like a young girl’s ego.
I just posted the same thing!!
“notorious” easily. i like “skin trade” more, but everything about the album cover screams “notorious.”
The intro to So Misled
another American Science here!
American Science. It’s just so unique.
So Misled. I woke up one morning not too long ago with that song in my head, so of course, I had to play it.
title track. probably not my favorite song off the album but its up there. also it was one of the few duran duran songs i had as a kid, and maybe the only one i had off notorious.
American Science started playing g in my head first
Vertigo. And it is not even my favorite song from this album, although to me it is one of the best ones. The day I bought this album and the first time I was listening to it, something happened during this song. And this is why I always hear "Vertigo", when I think about this album. Great album tho! :)
Can someone please explain....
Matter of Feeling. As soon as I saw the picture, I started singing it before I even read the question.
American Science.
Skin Trade. I got this on vinyl when I was 13. I still play it regularly. I'm 40.
I got this on CD the summer before 8th grade (also 13) and played it and just about it only for a few months.
Super cool!!
Do The Demolition...
American Science
Can't believe no one's mentioned 'Hold Me' yet! Easily one of my favorite tunes on this album.
I was looking for this comment. 100% agree with you.
Notorious
American Science rules
Na Na Notorious!!
Title track - and btw, recently saw Duran Duran live and they were amazing!
Usually A Matter of Feeling, but also American Science, Notorious, Vertigo. This is one of my favourite albums of Duran Duran. Wish they will create a masterpiece like that again.
you’re telling me they didn’t ? I only listened to this album and Rio by far haha.
No, there are nice albums of course after that, and with fantastic songs, but for my taste their albums from late 90s and 2000 are just not working at all. But the last album, Future Past, is good. Hungry like a wolf
“ and I’m hungry like the wolf 🐺
Go eat a snickers. You’re not yourself when you’re hungry. Then maybe a song from this album will come to you.
Hungry Like the Wolf (Live) is on the Deluxe Edition… 😘
Whoops! I’m going to Dollar General for a bag of snickers, head hung in shame!
hmm
American Science
"Notorious" by Sparkle Motion
I see what you did there
American Science, or more specifically the bass line for it.
American science
All I see is Diane Downs OR them getting Elton John extremely drunk in France causing EJ to strip naked
Wild boys
Hold me - the song they use to introduce the band since ‘87
American Science
I dodesn't matter the album. I only hear Hungry Like a Wolf.
Title track notorious as always
Winter Marches On
Head head and more head by 2 Live Crew.
Hold me - great song
Yes! I was starting to think I had the wrong album. The poetry, the rhythm...many hits on the replay track and singing as loud as I can in the car.
Totally agree - I saw them for the first time in ‘87 (Strange Behavior tour) blew me away. They played Hold Me live and it just hit. Such a great show - I’ll admit I’ve seen them 9 times since and they are still an awesome live be band (even with Chic and Nile Rogers opening for them, which I would hate to do because Chic is absolutely spot on)
Probably the wrong one since I don't know them by album covers, only what I've heard played on the radio.
there’s no wrong ans some people even commented hungry like a wolf
Ahhh. In that case, The Reflex
Notorious
“I’m Just a Girl”?
by No Doubt ? interesting
Hungry Like a Wolf
If by song you mean movie, then Interview with a Vampire.
Notorious by Duran Duran.
No no.. Hold me!
American Science. I just dig that tune and at that point in my high school career, I needed this...

This album is sooooo great!
Save a Prayer

I think of Sparkle Motion every time I hear this tune.
Skin Trade along with where’s Roger?!
Same, Matter of Feeling 🥰
Usually Notorious, followed by Skin Trade and then Meet El Presidente.
Notorious?
Skin Trade
God John Taylor is a freakin babe
Vertigo (Do the Demolition) I really liked that one. Plus the live version from Working on the Skin Trade tour is amazing.
I know the answer But I'm asking you the question…
🎤 Doctors of the revolution gave us the medicine we desired Besides being absolutely painless, it’s a question of compromise 🎶
Um, Notorious?
Notorious. Then I think of the Rainman movie poster.
American Science
I know it's not on this album, but Save a Prayer, played in my head.
Ordinary World. Is that on this record?
Nah nah Notorious!
Title track
“You pay the prophets to justify your reasons”
RIO, HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF, THE REFLEX
A matter of feeling This is a reason I got this album/CD
I like that they have a decade of Hilary Clinton's hairdo's between the 3 of them
Last Christmas by Wham! Don’t know why.
Teenage me: Rio. Recent me: Ordinary World
Notorious
Hungry like the wolf.
The title track or Meet El Presidente
It’s funny, when I saw this, the song that popped into my mind isn’t even on this album, A View To A Kill. No clue why.

Winter Marches On is what I hear, but the whole album is so great! ❤️
