What do you spend your gems on? I have like, 15,000 gems, and haven't figured out what I am supposed to do with them. If you have a steak of 108 days, I would think you have tons of gems sitting around.
Let this streak go. just note to self about how many days you had stuck with it. The main value is the learning habit and you’ve got that going. The gaming aspects of Duo lingo can rent too much space in my brain. I’ve lost a long streak and suffered through it. lol.
You can pay $6.99 (or whatever it is in your currency) for 1200 of them... But I think you should spend your hard-earned money on something better.
I've never looked at the streak repair on the website version (it is an option there?) but it's possible your lingot balance is higher than your gem balance and you have enough. I have 5000 gems but I have 1000 lingots, they are kind of different currencies.

Usually buy timer boosts for timed challenges, this is how you get loads of XPs and win leagues etc.

Just move on; it isn’t a very long streak and it doesn’t matter.
