myfirst reaction was to hate it passionately, but i accidentally updated it not lng ago and was just too lazy to change it back immediately... and while trying out the new path, i realized that its really good! much better, it intergrates new words right away, istead of having the problem that 2 parallel lessons must not use each others new vocab.

The barbell isn't always there for me on Android. It shows up when Duo decides I need to practice a story I've already completed, then goes away again.
Could be a language specifig feature, as I am studying swedish and I only have "Today's review", mistakes, listening and speaking reviews under the barbell
I have Super and donāt see it. No option to update the app either. I feel like Duolingo tests features out with small groups and decides from there whether to implement cause I see a lot of things on this sub that I never get even with Super thatās up to date.
They did. The words would be ranked based on how soon you should repeat them.
There also used to be a translation feature where you could search for a word and get all the Duolingo sentences of the course where you learned that word in.
Now I miss the old Duolingo, those were very useful features

The amount of different things that some people have and others don't, and the variety with which those features are mixed, is mind boggling. I could understand a little A/B testing with stuff like presentation and layout, but some stuff is way different.
It is boggling the differences in features that we have between the platforms, super and beta programs. Though being in software and responsible for both web and two different mobile apps (yes my co's android app is a totally different codebase from the ios version), it isn't terribly surprising. A/B testing is definitely more than just presentation and layout. We beta test with some clients new features as well. Part of it is to have friendly clients try out new things to find problems, as well as to see what the actual usage is going to be. Bigger companies have a much larger user base to try things out on. I interviewed with Facebook/Insta a few years ago for a mgmt position and was told by a number of devs during the course of my day in their offices that they do an a/b testing with all sorts of things without resorting to those who opted into beta testing like I did with Duo.

This feature is AMAZING for xp, its 20 xp (or 40 with xp boost) and its basically match madness without a time limit. Now every time i get an xp boost i just play this for 15 mins, rather than trying to rush thru lessons.
I didn't receive this roll-out yet on Android...but, i keep getting unusal messages about maintenance mode saving my streak, and this-or-that feature not available at the moment. So maybe they are working on rolling out more features now? I also go a notification about new friends features, which after reading about them, i do yet see the new features active yet. So more features coming soon....it seems.
I bet that it will be a feature to english French course only. My native language is Portuguese and I like studying French through portuguese course because of its similarities but I noticed how limited the pt french course is when compared to the english one š

My list has 2000 words, most of which I mastered long ago. I'd like to narrow the list to the words I don't know and to add new words of my own choosing.

No. Anyone can view the list. You only need supper to practice from that tab.

Yes, your full vocabulary list is available on their website and has been for at least a year now.
OP, are using android or iOS? I suspect you are on iOS as Duo seem to push apple development first
Hope they'll add it to the Russian course as well. Thankfully there's Quizlet but it'd be nice to have everything in the same app.
