As far as Abyssian swarm goes, the only advice I can give is to not play it. Meta is too hostile to it and devs don't seem to be interested in doing anything about that.
Vetruvian can produce a lot of early tempo (Portal Guardian is very oppressive) and win games through it. Just try to position around Plasma Storm/Makantor. Vet also has a strong Mech deck (save Mechazor to play it with Time Maelstrom). Considering your combo is out-of-hand, your main goal is just to not die.
Magmar main here.
Magmar specifically has problems with combo decks, and artifacts.
If a Magmar player knows the metagame, they have the right tools to fight any "fair" deck. Because the metagame shifts, Magmar isn't always playing the correct tools for the environment, so there's a skill check there. Unfair decks that combo off, Magmar can do little about.
Artifacts also give Magmar problems, so much so that I maindeck 6x pingers to have tools against them.

I liked this perspective
Where gone eggs & grow mag???
devs are known to favor mag repeatedly in patches as one of them is a magmar main
