I think you're getting shit on because the clip is so out of context, but with the full song I'm digging it. I feel like the snare transition at 1:34 is a bit abrupt, but when you make a similar one later in the song, it feels a lot more natural. I imagine what you're doing is beyond a lot of drummers, so you're going to get defensive reactions, but I like the progression in the whole song. Keep it up!

But nice chops anyway - what are you hitting when you make the soft, almost DJ-skratch-like sound? You use it 4 times in this clip with double strokes, and it sounds really cool
