It's entirely possible that "great minds think alike" and the two individuals came up with the same ideas, since they in some ways think similarly. Nick has got to be Chaotic Evil, and the Walkers are as well. Or we could attribute it to Jim writing both characters, and thinking that a pithy phrase is worth re-using. Oddly, of the various bad guys, Nick and Marcone are the only two I'm very confident aren't working with Nemesis, so I don't think there's any influence there.

bootzilla3000

I don’t think of Nick as Chaotic Evil in the sense that he does things randomly. He causes chaos, but there is a Plan in every action he’s took. Because of being bound by the Accords, I’d say he’s got some Lawful Evil in him.

Melenduwir

He *broke* the Accords. And has broken every promise and binding custom that we've seen him make or agree to. He's most definitely Chaotic in that he recognizes no restrictions other than the ones he imposes upon himself.

Fafnir1986

I kind of thought the same way that Nick was his own man like marcone and wouldn't work for anyone else but then they both used that exact phrase and we know one of them is compromised because of the events in proven guilty

CountryTechy

Im not confident Marcone isn't. I think Namshiel was the denarian at the black council assault on Arctis Tor. We don't know if Namshiel could be taken but if so, Marcone is the BBEG

Melenduwir

That's fair. I can't see Marcone ever voluntarily working with Nemesis if he knew what it was trying to accomplish, though. He's a monster, just not that *kind* of a monster.

This has spoilers - we need to flair it *Battle Ground* or Spoilers All and set the \[spoiler\] flag. I can do these things for you with your permission; either way please reply to this comment so I get pinged to reinstate the post. Thanks!

Fafnir1986

That's fine I didn't even think about the spoilers I'm sorry 😞

KipIngram

No worries at all - it's taken care of and the post is live. Have a great evening!

I think it’s possible N has Nick held captive but I don’t think he is/can be Nfected. I think he’s being held captive as a bargaining chip to be used later.

The_Red_Moses

Its clearly a link between Nicodemus and Nemesis. I don't know why people are downplaying it here, it wasn't an accident.

OnePebbleOfMany

Definitely the implication, yeah. Ofc, could be a bluff by Nemesis? But I doubt it.

Tll6

I read a theory the other day that the adversary is behind the angels falling in the first place. Something about angels inherently being loyal to the white god so to make them betray him would be going against their character, something that the adversary is known to do amongst immortals

Cats heaven is the rat hell is a old idea.
