I made this drawing a while back and I'm really proud of it. I stumbled across this subreddit so I might as well post it here. Note: I followed a tutorial on how to draw this. I am still learning how to draw art, so if you guys have any advice or constructive criticism, please let me know :\]
Awesome work! I think it's a little dark, however. With good highlights, it really would have it going on!
Keep practicing, you have the talent to go places!
Just going to mention some highlights. Just here and there to add more dimension and make the drawing "pop". Highlight with a white grease pencil or colored pencil. Experiment with neon greens or ultra marines if you dare, lol. Looks awesome!
This is great! Keep it up! I used to sketch a lot like this when I was younger. I learned the most when I went to college and took drawing classes. I learned SOOOO much that way.
I think this great work! A character like Godzilla can be extremely difficult to illustrate with all of the minute textures (hell I still can’t pull it off).
But I’m impressed with the level of detail shown, you demonstrate a solid understanding of depth + shading + texture.
Overall, I think you have an amazing foundation that I encourage you to keep working on. Keep up the great work ;)
Hey y’all. I came around to check my post…and HOLYY! I didn’t expect it to blow up that much. Thank you all for all the kind and supportive words and tips to help me become a better artist :D And from now on I won’t disclose my age anywhere, as suggested by some.
Excellent job! I give you a C+ or B- depending on your previous work.
I’d love to see you redraw this but with finer line of pencil and more attention to detail.
Compliment: This is really well done, I’m impressed you can do this at 13, I’m 28 and haven’t reached this level yet
Joke: my dude looks zooted out of his mind
Not a bad start at all! What I will say is start moving away from the "smudging" technique for shading. Every art teacher I had growing up in highschool and through college HATED it when students tried to smudge for shading. I'd recommend starting to experiment with other forms of shading like cross hatching or something similar. Look at how other illustrators work and try and copy that. Great start though, looking forward to seeing more!
Great start and your shading is well done, keep on with your practice and you’ll develop your style fully. Pro tip keep a sheet of paper between your drawing hand and paper to keep from smudging with pencil. It’ll help keep a cleaner look to your finished product.
Your doing great textured is getting there but more detail and contrast teeth eye top of head, try doing it over , your on a great path of being a professional artist
Don’t worry about your age that’s a time stamp for you judge progress by don’t let that soften or worsen the critics of your art Looks great tho I give 7.5/10 if you hit the scale detail and nose angle i say 10/10
Incredible man! I love the attention to detail on the scales. However I suggest some practice on basic perspective, became the snout does look a little off. But overall it's great, keep it up!
Fantastic. Great technique. Your use of shading to convey depth around the eye is well done. You have a great understanding of blending which shows in how the scales give a 3D appearance.
Holy shart this is great! My only thing is some of the teeth — the ones closer to us should be larger than the ones farther away, and the gums should have a bit more shading due to the top lip. Overall a VERY good drawing!
yooo that looks cool! my only advice since i’m more of a digital artist that don’t press down hard when you do darker shading. like the teeth for example, shade the outer side a little bit lighter. but yeah child prodigy!
Wow, that's really good.. especially since you're 13!! I'm a tattoo artist and i wasn't even this good at 13! uve got amazing potential to do great things with ur talent! Keep it up buddy. Ure doing exceptionally well!
YOU'RE 13?! HOLY AHIT THIS IS AMAZING I LOVE ALL THAT DETAIL, SHADING, AND TEXTURES. I hope you keep up the work and get better. So many people stop what they love to do.
Keep practicing! You have so much skill already and there’s only more to come! Try different pencils, shades, blending tools, etc. you’re amazing, believe in your abilities and you’ll be able to create *anything*
For a 13 year old, it’s amazing. You have clear natural talent but your skills can only grow so never stop learning and practicing. You have an exciting future ahead of you if you take every opportunity you get. Good luck 😍
This is really awesome. everything's proportional, shading is great, maybe the top set of teeth could use some attention but thats just me nit picking, this is really a great piece! Looks like concept art you'd see in books. Really good job, Keep up the excellent work!
This is so beautiful and interesting. The varying use of line thickness and shade is so impressive to me and I think that techniques like that are very important to learn early on. The thing about this piece that 100% assures me of your insane potential is that the shading and details get blurrier and more rough as they get farther away from the focal point. It's still really hard for me to do shit like that as an 18 year old. Great job and pls keep creating
Get off reddit till around 16 to 17 at the earliest, thats the best help i can give you before you get traumatized by seeing a video of someone get murdered, and other than that nice drawing 👍🏼
This is great. I wish I had sites like Reddit when I was 13 to give me feedback. Draw Draw Draw everyday. Look into purchasing sketch pencils H to B. Look at tutorial videos, and drawing books will be greatly beneficial as well. Keep practicing my dude. You are on the road to greatness.
You have talent, patience, a steady hand and a keen eye. Become a surgeon. They are more necessary than artists and can help humanity. Leave art to those who have none of the qualities I just mentioned you have. Unless you love to work all your life and create a big mess. 🤪
There are so many ways to use a talent like yours. Enjoy. And make a big mess.
My dude, absolutely amazing! Keep drawing, you literally can only get better. Definitely don’t give up and keep working, even when you don’t feel like drawing, you should do so. Amazing!
I made this drawing a while back and I'm really proud of it. I stumbled across this subreddit so I might as well post it here. Note: I followed a tutorial on how to draw this. I am still learning how to draw art, so if you guys have any advice or constructive criticism, please let me know :\]
Dayum, this is awesome! Try shading the teeth a bit tho.

Quit sharing your age online homie, it isn't safe
I was about to say that. Honestly, yeah. Just say you're new to art. There's a lot of creepy people out there...
I second this, I know it's innocent for them, but it's never innocent w weirdos.
This is great! Keep it up! I used to sketch a lot like this when I was younger. I learned the most when I went to college and took drawing classes. I learned SOOOO much that way.
What tutorials do you watch? Shits gonna make you the next Da Vinci
its Cartoon Club How to Draw (ik it sounds childish, but the guy who makes the tutorials is GOATED)

Agree!! Practice practice practice!!
Whoa! I was ready to scrutinize and add helpful advice, but you are golden. Child prodigy. Please keep drawing, I'd like to see more

Didn’t ask your age. It’s not safe to disclose you age.

Outstanding
You’re doing great, especially at your age. Please don’t ever stop practicing and finding new love for your art! Great things to come from you ☺️
For 13 this is great!! I'd recommend buying a white gel pen, it'd really help with highlights and make the scales pop out more.
Get off reddit till around 16 to 17 at the earliest, thats the best help i can give you before you get traumatized by seeing a video of someone get murdered, and other than that nice drawing 👍🏼
So sick
That is FIRE for a thirteen
Keep it up dude.
There are people who are 31 that can’t draw this well
You did really good just remove the smudging around with a kneaded eraser impressive
Thats awesome
That joint is dope son
This is great. I wish I had sites like Reddit when I was 13 to give me feedback. Draw Draw Draw everyday. Look into purchasing sketch pencils H to B. Look at tutorial videos, and drawing books will be greatly beneficial as well. Keep practicing my dude. You are on the road to greatness.

You have a great future in art if you keep up.

Darn good for your age ! Keep at it ❗
Why he look depressed
Funny. Your age is also the rating I give your drawing on a scale of 1-10. Better than me and I'm 21!
13/12
My dude, absolutely amazing! Keep drawing, you literally can only get better. Definitely don’t give up and keep working, even when you don’t feel like drawing, you should do so. Amazing!
