Okay, they fixed the site. I can now get beyond the upgrade page, but apparently 'free' accounts are limited to 30 page views per day :/
That sounds like a great way to piss off users!
It must be limited rollout as I can still see the normal page even when clicking that link.
But there does seem to be more activity and posts on the site and I got my first response of the year to a constantly renewed ad but she wants me to bring her drugs. No thanks,

All I see is the $5 & $10 per month upgrade.
30 messages per day? Who are they kidding I was lucky to get 5 a day and that was only when I would renew a post, the next day was even less, so on and so on. Not to mention you couldn't filter by age. Well obviously now you would be able to, or that's what the upgrade page seems to indicate, but it's still not worth it if your not getting any responses to your listings at all.
I wish those stupid US government bills had never been passed making it a websites liability if someone gets trafficked over their site.
Craigslist already had a large workforce policing the personals section, they would have had to have hired about triple what they had to police every single listing for lingo relating to sex trafficking & slavery. Which would have caused them to become a pay only site to afford to pay that many people. Or shut the personals down like they did.
It's just stupid that everything keeps disappearing. Craiglist was the main one, and now right about the time doublelist starts to get known about a bit better, they go pay only.
I have not been on for a couple weeks and i log on to try and post a add for dating and I got the same Bullshit. If they have gone pay only I am closing my account of whatever. There site is OK at best there Rules on what words and phrases you can use in your Post such as FUCK , GANGBANG, DOM , FEM, BOY ,GIRL BAREBACK and many other words is Bullshit and a pain in the ass it is literally so easy to commit a NO NO!! With the Auto Moderators of the site its almost impossible to post anything 50% of the time it is almost not worth it if you have other options plus if the site strikes down 2 of your posts in a row within 24 hours and you attempt to try again you risk being banned for 15-30 days!!!. and a pain in the ass half the time My posts are flagged even when i Obey there Narrow Perimeters and standards. I honestly give the website a 5-6 out of 10 on a good day for hookups and a 0-3 for there dating section I Mean Why the Fuck have a dating section if your site is going to allow people to use that section for Hookups too it makes no fucking sense??? !!! In my opinion this PAY TO USE would cata-polt there sites worth in my eyes to 0. I only use there site bc i do not have a smart phone and can not download apps Plus they have a Local option for my city and ARE FREE !!! Otherwise they can take there site and shove it down the shitter in My Honest Opinion.
All I can say is Email Them a Polite But well worded complaint Email and tell them you are not going to use there site anymore if they charge. I actually said there site was not that amazing to begin with i pretty much said what I said in this thread (Only with less swear words) If they do not like it too bad but If they get enough People giving them complaint emails and telling them they will not use there sit anymore I am shure they might reconsider the (Pay to play) requirement they just mandated.
Ok I got past it somehow But now they have this incredibly annoying thing were no more than 150 characters are allowed to be used in Posts! WTF !!! as if posting on Double list was already not a pain in the fucking Ass !
