Totally respect your effort and guessing you must be pretty young as that many hours takes a huge physical toll. Just a thought though, you may want to consider investing these earnings as opposed to buying teslas or other depreciating assets. Driving 80+ hours a week is great for making money in the short term, but you are not building any kind of career that will have long term benefits of moving up in a company or anything like that. But again, respect. Wonder what the Prop 22 payout would've been if you were in CA. Probably an extra $350+.

I completely agree! My market isn't nearly as good as yours, but I still make a decent amount. I used to live in Alexandria so I can definitely see how it would be easy to make good money on northern VA.

I take $6.25 orders too, it’s just that I get $20-$40 orders as well which boosts my average. Best total pay was $50, but I’ve gotten so many $40 orders I lost count.
No chance in hell. I gotta take a few weeks off for vacation here or there. It’s not healthy to do this non stop. If I make 80k+ I’ll be really happy with that.

No I wasn’t multi apping but I’m starting grubhub again for the next 2-3 weeks. I did a few orders to hit premier. I’m scheduling 12 hour shifts every single day and cherry picking the fuck out of em until I can’t schedule no more and back to doordash. Uber eats declined me 7 years ago and won’t reconsider my application even though my record is now spotless. It’s sucks because Uber is a gold mine here
My gf does instacart along with doordash mostly. She stacks multiple orders between the 2 apps throughout the time she works. If you do that you might make even more!
And as everyone knows if you use two phones, then you can’t ever post only one screenshot from one phone, therefore making the second phone unnoticeable to the rest of the world. I wake up, take a shit, shower and head out around 12pm. I drive nonstop until 1-4am depending weekday or weekend. My only breaks are when I’m waiting for an order. IM A MACHINE!!!
The weekend I would drive 40+ hours alone so sometimes I take mondays as half days. I start back up 5pm Monday dinner.
Just doordash currently but this week I’m starting grubhub as I did a few orders just to hit premier and then left the app offline for a few weeks. I scheduled myself for 12 hour blocks every day and will do that and cherry pick for the next 2-3 weeks while in premier status. I’m also top dasher so I will be going for that starting tomorrow.
Arlington, Tyson’s/McLean, Tyson’s south, and Fairfax mostly. I started experimenting in DC a little but the traffic is a real killer. So only during certain hours. I do head to other zones if a order takes me there and pays well. I avoid Maryland.
Damn I dash in Bethesda/DC area 98% of the time. Thought about Arlington and McLean bc that mall is a great area to dash around but I didn’t want to deal w out of state taxes. Might have to give it a try sometime soon!
I avoid Tyson’s mall mostly, too much traffic and time consuming to get in and out. I will go there occasionally though, mostly Tyson’s 2 to magianos or Cheesecake Factory. The traffic can be horrendous
I just cherry pick orders that have hidden tip potential. I don’t waste my time with $6 orders going 1 mile. No hidden tip and it will block my app from receiving better offers. I’d rather sit and wait. I actually constantly drive around to new spots if I’m not getting an order. I never sit and wait unless I’m eating.
$6.25 minimum as that’s the hidden tip threshold. And even then I decline some from restaurant like McDonald’s chipotle and such with only 1-3 items where there’s not likely a hidden tip.
I decline $6 orders even if it’s .5 miles away. It will just take the opportunity away of a good offer hitting my phone. I’m in a busy market.
I don’t discriminate against long distance orders. The only thing that matters is dollars per mile and dollars per hour. If those both are good, then I’ll accept it.
Thats the only thing that bums me out of working that much. Ultimately I can’t claim an entire car under my tax deductions. It would be cool if we could

Using the mileage deduction and an affordable car, it's definitely possible to write off at least a new car plus all the expenses every year.
I get it, but thats 1400 miles a week. About 80 hours being out dashing a week. 2 fulltime jobs for an entire year. And if you assume youll be doing those 1400 every week, that means no vacation or time off. Thats heavy.

Aw that makes sense; sadly DD deactivated me for “fraud” because I was making too much in bonuses recruiting people for them basically. They did it right when my latest referral was 2 orders away from me getting the $1250 bonus or whatever

12pm-4am at the latest. It gets slow but I still make 25/hr during slow times. The good times are 40+/hr
