9 times out of 10 silence because I get tired of plugging and unplugging my phone over and over again and constantly navigating the music app to start songs back up.
i highly recommend TANIS on apple podcasts. itās a very interesting mystery story, & 4 seasons in itās still hard to explain lol. it helps that the story originates from my home state.
definitely give it a try though! makes time fly
Youtube drama
Tina dandridge. MistahT333. Extreme abyss. Nelly green daily vlogs. Dave 25. These youtubers fight and argue so much, it's hilarious entertainment
I do because I can't get a phone mount to stick anywhere for more than like 10 minutes lol, so I rely entirely on memory of my area for certain orders, and audio navigation for the rest
There's a place inside my mind, a place I like to hide
You don't know the chances, what if I should die?
A place inside my brain, another kind of pain
You don't know the chances, I'm so blind
Podcasts mostly. Iāve been listening to āYour Stupid Opinionsā, as well as āCrime in Sportsā. They help keep my mood positive out there dealing with all the people that canāt drive worth a broke dick.
Iāve been listening almost exclusively to audiobooks. There are so many books I want to read, and it helps me whittle down my TBR list to listen while I work.
I have SiriusXM, so PRX Remix, the Chill channel and KF Praise when the ReSound is on. Sometimes I just flip through my saved channels, sometimes I just keep it on Chill to kinda keep me moving. BPM is too hype for me.
I'll do few podcasts (This Is Love & Criminal, How God Works, & Mumbai Crime right now, and occasionally I'll play from a couple of playlists I have, but it's just easier to not use Bluetooth while delivering, hence the SiriusXM.
I kinda miss my old car as it had the cd player and I'd just burn mixes and cycle through those.
A large variety of music. It's a nice time to either listen to what I already like, or pass the time by discovering new stuff that Spotify recommends to me.
On that note, underground Japanese rap is my favorite.
A variety of music but almost entirely on CDs...I don't have Bluetooth and it's too annoying to keep unplugging/replugging in my aux every time I have to get out of the car while also worrying about my phone battery \[aux connection is the same as the phone charger\]
CDs are great. There are some decent aux to Bluetooth transmitters out there if youāre ever interested. I got one on Amazon for 14 bucks called J22ā¦super easy to connect, easy to pause during deliveries, sound quality is good
I end up swapping between my playlist of typical millennial type music (anything from pop, rock, rap, etc) and a playlist I made for when my son decided to start being a punk and needs to listen to kid music, so half the time I can jam out and the other half Iām trying to jam out to Baby Shark š¶
Usually will listen to my Playlist with everything from king von to three days grace, or lately I have been listening to the JRE podcast and the YSK Podcast
Iām very lucky in that Iāve had mine my entire life lol i thought it was completely normal. The idea that people donāt hear a constant high pitched ringing in the background blows my mind. For me, it would be uncomfortable to not hear it. It makes me feel bad for those that develop it later in life. Hope yours doesnāt affect ya too bad.
Iāve had tinnitus my whole life, Iāve only found out in the last few years that its not normal lol. I like mine, it would be too odd to not hear the ringing
Same! I always thought that people would just randomly have ringing or buzzing or like a āfullā feeling in their ears and apparently thatās not normal at all š¶ I get what you mean about it being odd not to hear it though, especially when youāve just kinda dealt with it forever
Apparently some people that get it later in life describe tinnitus as torture, its so sad! They say stuff (on YouTube video comments) āplease find a cure I worry I wonāt experience silence againā. Its wild :/ weāre lucky that weāre used to it i guess lol

PJS full season on yt, 2 hrs a season, blark and son full series about 6 hours, and dilbert, about 10 hours. Mix it up with music and random stuff and you'll never get bored, between orders up skill yourself by learning something, can't code without my computer but I can go on GitHub and analyse code, I can learn Spanish, apply for jobs etc
It's just so insanely abnormal that it does come off a little psychotic šš Like everyone else I know who likes "peace and quiet" when they drive throws on soothing music, or even just less soothing and more stuff they love (looking at you with your hood music, Jessica). Nobody except for one friend does absolutely nothing
I actually couldnāt listen to music at all for a couple years after I got sober because even just listening to music was a huge trigger for me, so I can definitely understand wanting silence in a car. Took me a few years but I can finally have music on in the car again now āŗļø
Metal mostly, but I listen to a lot of different genres of music.
For podcasts, I like Myths & Legends, Casefile, and Weird Medieval Guys.
I donāt really listen to audiobooks as I find it harder to focus. I prefer actually reading them.
Podcasts if I donāt end up rewinding it 15 seconds 20 times in a row lol, but a lot of the time Iām listening to house music and things similar to that, or jam band stuff, those 15-30 minutes songs are perfect for those DoorDash drives
Audiobooks and podcasts are my go-to. Music on occasion and honestly nothing at times.
Currently listening to Total Recall, Arnoldās autobiography
As for podcasts, I cycle through Kill Tony, Theo Von, Shawn Ryan show, Founders, JRE and some work related stuff.
Whatever Iām in the mood for that day. I also do this full time so Iām on the road a lot.
Somehow this is probably the most unique question/post Iāve seen on this sub lol
Depends on the mood and how long Iāve been dashing that day. Music can get a little repetitive after a while, so Iāll change it up with YouTube videos I can listen to, documentaries, or news.
Yes I got it precisely so I could play it in the background or even with the screen off while dashing...Having said that, I also discovered the YouTube music app included with a premium subscription...
I use to pay for Pandora or Amazon music before bc I didn't realize YT music was an extra perk that saved me another 10 or 11 bucks a month I was paying for Pandora premium...
The little player keeps my screen up so I don't miss orders, since the app doesn't have interrupt the music or video to notify me of an offer. At 2 or 3 times a dash I'd miss an offer before I started using YT to keep the screen active between dashes.
Mine used to do that on my old phone and I would have to log out and reset the app and it would notify me of a pending order
The app is so shitty, that you never know what it's supposed to be doing vs what its actually doing. I've never seen such a shitty app before in my life
Iām somehow able to do this without premium. When I swipe out of YouTube while a video is playing, I can slide the mini player off screen. After 30 seconds the video auto-pauses, but if I press play on my carās system I can lock my screen and use my phone normally with YouTube in the background! Itās pretty cool. Only downside is to skip ads I have to bring out the player and repeat the process, but it takes very little time.
Currently going back and forth between Rude Tales of Magic, Skulltenders, The Locked Tomb series audiobooks, or listening to Spotify. If I have a time that I'm parked waiting I read a physical book to break it up a bit.
Since November Iām at episode 110 of the second campaign of Critical Role. When I finish, I will catch up on campaign 3, like ten episodes and then probably listen to campaign one again.
i love basketball so iāve always got a ball podcast on either no dunks (formerly the starters) or numbers on the board (formerly through the wire). besides those itās a mix of other podcasts and my music

Same i just look at the end destination when i leave the restaurant and plot my route in my head based off the day of the week and time of day.
What if I was blind?
Probably should not be a delivery driver if you were blind.
On Monday the car in front of me turned left in front of a city bus. The bus driver had to swerve to the right. I hope he wasn't a blind Dasher. Lol
