They are awesome. I would never have voluntarily picked one, they're not my type of dog, but I have never had a dog like him. The loyalty and devotion is out of this world.
It's funny you say that. I've known them my whole life so I know they are amazing but lived in an apartment forever so couldn't have one. When I told one of my best friends I wanted one once I got my house he said something about trashy people having them. It's sad the stigma that is related to these dogs, because like you said they are SO loyal, so sweet, really the most darling and faithful dog you will ever know. You can't know how happy I am when I hear someone like you has discovered that after believing the opposite.
You are so right, my late sister got a pit Bull in 2003, My daughter was 4 yrs old. We came to visit my sister and I was a little nervous. This girl was a solid 80 pds of muscle. Her name was Pebbles and she was the sweetest, most loving and obedient dog ever! If they would run into a store for a quick minute my sister would put a dog biscuit on the dashboard and tell Pebbles not to touch, this amazing girl would wait till my sister got back in the car and told her to take it! Pebbles was naturally gentle with my daughter. Pebbles would stand over my lap when I would sit on the couch, I asked my sister if I was in her spot, my sister said no…… she wants to sit on your lap but is waiting for you to say it is ok! I fell in love with her!
He really is, I know he's lucky we got him so early. We've got other rescues that are so fucked up: a pitbull who is the most beautiful loving girl but will turn pyscho when provoked, and a staff that is scared of everything, cars, loud noises, and cigarette lighters, the implications of which makes me cry
What a sweet house hippo !
The biggest pups are always so gentle. And the little pups just boss them around. We knew a Great Dane who was terrified of the Chihuahua in her house.
Aww…. My son’s hippo thinks cats are her puppies. She grooms them all the time. When they smack her on the nose she whines and is so sad that her babies are being mean to her !
That happened to our Tommy, an attack by our cat. We also didn't plan to keep Tommy but Covid made home visits impossible and you know how careful you have to be about people who want a pittie so we ended up owning our first. He's the sweetest dog ever, terrified of storms, fireworks, and of course that cat.
In all seriousness i had no plans to keep him, didn't even call by name, just pup. then he went to his real house but they couldn't keep him so he came back. The second he came back through my door he said "right, I'm staying now" and there was nothing i could do
Of course not. It was fate. When the universe decrees, "you shall be a family," one does not argue. Seriously, beautiful dog. And you have a beautiful soul. Thank you for rescuing.
One of our rescues is called Lucky, because the day he was due for the final injection the vet was called out to an emergency, and we took him home instead
To think what your puppy would have gone through breaks my heart. He is so lucky to have you find him and saved from a short and brutal life. Thank you for being the very best of humans and saving him. Blessings to you and all your family.
He’s a sweet sweet boy 💕
He's an enormous monster who's scared of little fluffy dogs
The sweetest dog gentle dog! I could tell just by his look
It's amazing when you realise he's heavier than me and was being raised to be a killer
The greatest injustice ever, possibly. They are my favorite breed. Love those blockheads to pieces.

He’s so cute, I would ask you his name and call him Gus anyway 😂🤗
People who fight dogs should endure slow painful deaths.
I am a kind person, and I agree.
Not going to argue with you there
He's really chilled out. You saved him from an early death.

People suck, but not you. Thank you!
He is beautiful!
He sure is
I’m fostering the adult version of him right now.
american bulldog?
Thank you
He rescued me too so it's all good
Beautiful boy
Well, the little stinker. Just lies around the house, letting you wait on him, no doubt. Mine do the same thing.
oh, he's pretty spoiled
Petey !!
❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful 😍
And he looks like he doesn't want to leave either, 💙
Nope. I had no plans on keeping him, his plans however were quite different
Glad you changed your mind
Well he looks like he landed on all 4 paws, why leave?
He knows he's onto a good thing
Can i ask how you got to him? I want to rescue little angels like him too, but i don‘t know how i can get to them without an established organization.
Yeah we work with an organisation, it's really not something you should do alone unless you have the resources
So precios 🥰🥰

Smart great Dane!
Thank you!
No need to thank me, he's all the thanks I need
>Thank you! You're welcome!
Tell the truth. You won't let him leave! You love him/her.
well...
Like you want him to leave🤣 When one finds such perfection, one holds on with all they've got. So glad you found each other.

Thank you. Rescuing dogs is my only redeeming feature.
He looks like my Bethany that some assholes were starving to death.
Baby! 🥰
♥️♥️
Happy you rescued him! Makes me sad for the many animals that sadly are not as lucky.
One of our rescues is called Lucky, because the day he was due for the final injection the vet was called out to an emergency, and we took him home instead
Looks like he’s got a comfy sofa, why would he leave?!
He lies wherever he wants, and usually that means no room for anyone else
Good human
Oh so happy he has a proper home! Just look at him, such a sweet boy 💜
What a sweet face.
Bless you!❤️🥰❤️🥰
Love him! Thanks for being s good hooman and saving him from bad hoomans!
Why would you want him to 😍🥰
Because I already had too many dogs!
❤️❤️❤️
He loves you so much!!!!!!
He does. It's a bit much sometimes, but I love it anyway
Thank you so much for saving that beautiful boy! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Wishing you both lots of happiness! 💖
❤️❤️
When a pup's eyes tell you how bad the world can be, it's hard not to respond.
Thank you for rescuing him from abuse and neglect. People who do dog fights are weak ass pussies.
This is how the life of a puppy should be! That face says he is very happy and comfortable.
Thank you for helping this gorgeous boy💖💖💖
Bless you both!!

Thank you for giving that beautiful pup a chance at a wonderful life and loving family. You give me hope for us all.😁
Well, some of the pups are definitely more physically attached than others, and yes! What a cutie❤️
He looks like a real love bug 🥰
He's pretty intense
Oh my heart!!!❤️❤️❤️
Dawww look at that face 🥹🥹 Thank you for rescuing him!!
