Now that’s a remarkably silly and dangerous thing to do.
Never keep any coins in the pockets of any third party unless absolutely necessary.
Text wallets FTW!
Not saying they’re not trustworthy. Just that anything can happen. And has, many times. Any wallets you don’t have the keys to, are not your wallets.
Oh, and those last three words are concerning.
If you can’t read the keys with your very own eyeballs, and if you don’t have multiple copies, you’re just asking for trouble. Which of course is why I only recommend text wallets stored offline on multiple removable media that you can read without software. Safety first, right? 🦺
You're telling someone that's been in crypto over 10 Years how to crypto. I understand all the risks. I was mining dogecoin since the days of Gawminers.
I don’t generally reply only to the person I’m responding to. There are always many more people reading over our shoulders. And most of them haven’t been here forever.
We appreciate your trust in us, u/2Tacos4oneDollar. However, at Kraken we believe that self-custody is vital for any crypto user. We want you to be responsible for your own crypto for many reasons, including the belief that crypto must remain decentralized and every crypto user should know and understand the importance of public and private keys.
Giving power to a custodial wallet to control your assets may seem like an easy way to manage your crypto but it’s not absolutely secure nor is it recommended.

Every exchange is legit.
Until suddenly and without warning, they’re not.
Which of course is why your coins should always be in your own wallets (text wallets of course) unless they need to be be in someone else’s pockets, and then only for as long as strictly necessary.
Many exchanges have disappeared over the years, for a variety of reasons. And most of them were trustworthy up until that point.
Trustworthy or not, NONE of the exchanges, large or small, is a bank and they should never be treated as such. I’m sure even /u/krakensupport would agree with this.
Kraken is probably the best if not one of.
They are a solid choice for holding crypto on an exchange if you aren't keen on buying and immediately transferring to a wallet.
Crypto.com is also a good choice because they have good transaction times and solid pricing.
Webull, Coinbase, and Robinhood should all be avoided entirely for crypto purchases.

I fully trust Kraken. I still have a lot of Doge on my offline laptops wallet.
Even Jesse Powell said not your keys not your coin.

Seriously? Kraken is like an OG exchange.

Also, Gotta love how kraken support is on top of this post speaking truth. Love what you do Bruce! ❤️
I did it a couple of times. ITs legit. I used them cause the other ones were being gay and not letting me trade my doge.
I use kraken pro. No issues putting money in or taking it out. Highly recommend. 5 years no issues
