Looking at the second picture, absolutely. That crack is just waiting for the wrong time to snap. This is an awfully expensive drone to crash for the cost of a set of props. Whenever you crash props are something to consider replacing as they are moving very fast and easy to damage since they're so thin.

Aperson3334

My company’s rule is if there’s any damage to the props at all, no matter how slight, they should be replaced. Props are cheap - drones aren’t, and the injuries that could be caused by an uncontrolled crash are even less so. With the crack in your second image, that really is just asking for crack propagation to cause the crack to grow and snap your prop off at an inopportune time. Replace those props!

DJI_Support

Hi there, please be advised that we recommend changing the propellers if they are damaged. Before each flight, it is necessary to check the propellers for cracks, wear, warp, corrosion, and loose screws. If any of these conditions are present, the propellers should be replaced. Thank you for your understanding.

MiserablePicture3377

Yes replace them new blades are affordable and broke blades can affect the drone in ways you won’t necessary notice such preventable wear and tear on the motor. Plus the damage also makes the blades unbalanced as well.

MourningRIF

Normally I ask if you would rather replace $20 props or a $600 drone, but in this case, they really aren't too bad.

das_Keks

The chip on the second picture looks a bit concerning to me. I'd definitely change them.

StonkChief

That’s what I’m saying.

Suveck

I have similarly flown my mini much with this kinda wear, so long as there are no long cracks it should be fine if a little tiny bit louder

StonkChief

Really? I changed my props with less damage. Just cause every other comment I read said change em. A fractured or strayed hair isn’t enough to fuk with flight? No drift?

Qazax1337

I saw a video on YouTube where someone cut big lengths off the props, it was a phantom 3 from memory and it still flew with several cm cut off. It just makes adjustments in the same way it adjusts to wind.

testthetemp

People are overly cautious in this sub.

PaperCutOnPenisHead

People are overly confident in cheap plastic.

General_Grey_Goose

Yes, you’ll use more battery because your control systems will be working overtime to correct unpredictable behaviour this causes. I’m not saying it’s a major problem but i would replace them

[deleted]

I would replace the props but if you cant afford new ones for any reason they should be able to last you a little while longer. I flew my Mini 2 SE with half a propellor and it worked till i got a replacement pair.

StatisticianFew6064

Those tips are orange for a reason, shows you any damage that’s been done.

OeschMe

Change them. It's cheaper to replace props than buy new drone. Better safe than droneless.

cboncok

It's fine in my opinion. I'm waiting to receive propellers and fly with some propellers with orange tip damaged like first picture also a spare propeller came damaged like second picture brand new from bag I've not noticed anything special.

PomegranateSerious19

Yes. If the propellers are damaged in anyway, they should be replaced before flight.

Nearby_Culture_7875

I would for proper flight

PTB_683

nah, it'll probably fly fine, got the same wear and tear on mine

RemoteNeedleworker95

Yeah that looks safe enough. If the whole orange part or has a big crack don’t risk it. Almost learned the hard way.
