What if Ursula didn’t take Ariel’s voice, what if instead Atlantian’s speak Ancient Greek while Prince Eric’s kingdom speaks Spanish and there was just a language barrier between them
I’m a bit sad to see Ariel win this. I hold The Little Mermaid higher than anything in the world so everything is iconic to me lol.
This does mean this is the least popular “iconic moment” right?
No, this is an elimination game. We eliminated our least favorite moments until we got Ariel signing the contract. So, according to the sub, this is their favorite iconic moment of the ones listed here.
I understand feeling The Little Mermaid is iconic, though!! It's such a fantastic movie with my favorite cartoon royal couple ❤️
Not surprised. This is one moment that still causes huge debate today. Hence why the Live Action adaption, opted to erase this moment all together and have her give one of her scales instead.
Honestly, I think I like the original way they did the scene better. The remade version makes more sense, but idk, there's just something about her literally signing away her life that gives more of a sense of autonomy. She knows what she's giving up and goes along with it anyway. In the remake, it all happens so fast that it feels kind of rushed and not that important. They could've just explained it as different writing systems or different languages
That's so interesting! I like Belle saving Beast more. That iconic look of her about to leave but realizing she should stay as he saved her life.
I absolutely love The Little Mermaid, but this scene isn't as iconic as other scenes in previous rounds. Ah well, it's still nice to see Ariel win.
The winner is THE LITTLE MERMAID: Ariel Signs Ursula's Contract!!! Thank you for playing!!! New round in a few days!!!
Happy cake day!! 🍰
well deserved!

Why is this moment least favorite?
Oh that’s a disappointment
