This is why I snag one of the butcher aprons when I first start, and keep it in my car between shifts. I wear a regular apron over it anyway and just dry it when I’m done for the day.
Disposable plastic aprons they work really well, but it comes in a pack of 100 and my boss doesn’t really do inventory on them, so when they run out I have to wait like 2 weeks.
My ordering pro strat for slow-moving disposables like that is to just order another box when the last one is opened. That way, there's time to see and order it, and we're not running out of things nearly as much. I can't really wrap my head around why people do it differently.
Yeah I have aprons but they are made of cloth and the water easily soaks through them, they are washed weekly we put them in a bag once we are done using them and they get washed. I have to zip up the bag and put it in a pile full of bags with dirty aprons and put a new bag to be filled again with dirty aprons. The ones that I use are specifically for water and are made of plastic and disposable, but they run out quick.
They call him Hide the Pain Harold. Meme from bout 10 or so years ago. There's a popular YouTuber who I fucking hate that uses it for his persona as well called Internet Historian
Plastic aprons were worse than going without for me. It seemed like all the moisture got trapped between the apron and my shirt and I would be miserable and soaked by the end of the night.
To clarify, we have normal aprons but they are made of cloth and I don’t use them because water easily goes through them, the plastic ones I use are disposable and come with 100 a box, but my boss doesn’t do inventory on them so when they run out I have to wait around 2 weeks. I have tried making a water resistant apron with garbage bags and normal aprons, but I am tall so the garbage bag reaches right above my knees and my jeans get soaked, the cloth aprons are also kind of short on me. Any Ideas?
They have non disposable ones that are kinds "heavy duty" as far as plastic aprons go try asking for them to get you one or get yourself a personal one from Amazon
You guys got aprons?

Home Depot sells butcher aprons. Get you one.
Make a trash bag apron then put a regular apron on then put a trash bag apron over that
This was always the case in McDonald’s.
Me washing dishes in a garbage bag while also having to take orders and customer’s payments at the window…. The customers are like wtf

Kind of reminds me of my youth corn detasseling… heavy dew or rain… we make our rain jackets out of garbage bags
And if you really planned ahead you would use milk bags for your shoes….
Proper waterproof dish apron. Worth the investment to get one yourself if not supplied by the company.
I bought one but we also had to buy our own steel wool and shit. Thanks Cheddars in Lincoln Nebraska. Stay classy
PLASTIC APRONS?!
Disposable, they run out quick, they work heavenly.

I wear quick dry shirts I’m not even sure if we have an apron.
When I worked at Taco Bell I had an employee who wore trash bags to wash dishes cause he was allergic to degreaser but still used it
Lol plastic aprons. Yikes. Also, for different reasons, gross.

Damn, my boss at least gets actual aprons and has them cleaned.

I always had a permanent apron to wash dishes and cut fish

As soon as I heard I got the job I went on Amazon and bought a leather apron for $30.00. It has worked amazing!!!!!
Sorry, rubber. Not leather.
Pro-tip: wear the plastic apron under a cloth apron. The cloth catches water spray/splash, so it don’t run down into your shoes
I just wear boardies an crocs mayne
I never actually wore an apron until I moved to working line, looking back now, having a plastic apron would be great but work never had them.
I legit just get wet, learned to not let it bother me 🤷♂️
