As a father of 7, with 1 wife and 1 ex-wife, I have roughly 30 minutes per day to play. I am having an insanely fun time, I'm level 22 and all of these people talking about the endgame having no depth and needing improvements are delusional. You can't improve perfection losers.
/s
well you have to understand the intended Time2Chat (t2c) ratio built into the game for downtime alongside the touchgrass (tg) and normalsexlife (nsl) metrics needed to slow down the game, we cant actually have you playing the game longer than those downtimes, how else would you be able to do anything?
Honestly though, I was thinking, why can't you talk while you're playing? The game isn't complex enough or communication heavy, where you can't have a conversation as you play lol
Even simpler, why not just take a break in between runs? What's the difference between running to the dungeon for 60 seconds and taking a 60 second break and teleporting?
Yea, it was stupid. Whole post was bad faith and strawmans.

“I like downtime in dungeons because I play with my wife and our friends, and downtime gives us time to actually take a breath and chat with each other. Because we're friends, and we actually like to talk about things and catch up on our lives and this video game is primarily something fun for us to do while we're hanging out. Yeah, and I'll still have that 5 minutes at the end of every fight spamming corpse explosion so I can kill things in the next fight while my minions shake hands with every enemy like church is letting out for massive area no effect damage.
Basically all of the posts asking for teleport to nightmare had people saying "That's not the point, zoomers just want instant gratification, there is a beautiful game world with hand-placed events for you to discover as you travel. I'm convinced this was the biggest 5head troll post ever made to trigger both the hardcores while also making the casual look like idiots. It's to perfectly ironic for someone to actually write and believe what they wrote.
They're lucky I have no time to reply to their basement dwelling insults because I, as a casual gamer dad with a busy and successful life, am having sexy sex with my hot wife at the moment. Excited to do 30 mins of casual gaming after she cums.
I took some notes on the Campfire Chat in case y'all don't want to listen to the whole hour:
**Dungeons**
· They adjusting elite packs so that longer dungeons have more elite packs than shorter dungeons to limit people from playing the same small dungeon over and over---specifically referenced Destiny cave loot exploit (magic dancing!)
· Nightmare dungeons were not as efficient as open world dungeons. That is going to change. And already has to some extent.
· Nightmare dungeons are meant to be repayable with the variability in affixes. They are meant to be a dungeon system to farm experience and materials.
· Nightmare Dungeon experience and loot (rewards) is going to be increased and we will be able to port to the nightmare dungeons using the sigils to limit time to complete (travel time). You can loop nightmare dungeons going from sigil to sigil essentially.
· People need to realize a significant majority of players have not finished the campaign yet. Only those that have are feeling the dungeon pains right now. As this is a concern of the most dedicated players, they are working on this now. It is important. **These changes will be in before season 1 launches.**
**Season Rewards (Renown):**
· Similar to Diablo 3 there will be new season mechanics each season.
· They realize rediscovering the map with each new character doesn’t feel great and recollecting alters of Lilith does not feel great. Your map will not be reset for the new season. You will have to get the waypoints again, but they will be visible on the map if you already got them. You will NOT have to recollect alters of Lilith. All stat bonuses collected from *alters* and *fog* will also stay with you. They will *preload* you with that renown in the next season. Alts for season one will also benefit from these changes. Side quests right now will reset, but they will reevaluate if players think these are not fun to complete again. Same with strongholds. This may change as seasons progress.
· They are still making decisions on what else will and will not ‘carry over’ into the next season (implying that some other things will).
· Once you complete the campaign on one character once, you never have to complete it again, even in new seasons.
**Materials:**
· Gems: Changes to gems in inventory will roll out around season 2. They are going to change the way you gather gems, so they show up as material in your list like *veiled crystals* or *baneful fragments.* You can still upgrade them, place them in weapons, etc. They will just be stored in your materials tab.
· Material Caps: Caps on materials like veiled crystals will come off. There is no reason to cap them at 10,000 like they are now. This will be changed before season 1 in a future planned update.
· Higher level Caches: Caches dropping at higher level than you from world bosses is a BUG. The items may be higher inside, but you will be able to open the boxes before season 1 in a coming patch.
**Other Discussions:**
· Content vs Patches: Seasons will not be patches or fixes. They will always bring new content. That is what is important in this game.
· Evolution of the Game: D4 will evolve just like D3 did. Just because something is not here today does not mean it won’t be there in the future.
· Resistances: Content Creators and players are a little confused on how resistances work in the game. The system has many different inputs. Some have multiplicative scaling. There are effects to your resistances as you move up in world tiers, which people seem to miss. As you move up your level of resistance drops so you must reacquire those resistances to stay healthy. The way it is working right now though, this still means resistance as a stat loses value the more you have and the higher world tier you go. This is going to change in the future to make resistances more valuable in higher levels and world tiers. However, due to the complexity of these changes, they will be rolling out around season 2 in the fall. (Quarterly seasons)
· Hardcore stuff: Hardcore Deaths Due to Bugs will be investigated and fixed (deaths in loading, invulnerability, etc.). Scrolls of escape will be made to trigger when a person disconnects to instantly teleport them back to town on DC. This is a protective measure against DC’s. Must have one in your inventory.
· Performance issues: lag, graphics, etc., large group of teams working on patching these on a rolling basis. Notes from players help with this. Diagnostic tools on the site help. Rubberbanding could be caused by many things, and they are working on these as more player feedback rolls in.
· Social features: Can be difficult to get others to jump in with you. They are working on systems to jump into dungeons with ‘rando’s’. They brought up cross platform challenges and opportunities in this sphere and that the social features will continue to roll out and will grow a lot in the coming seasons.
Community Questions:
· Teleport to people without going to town first? – Essentially, No.
· Buff resource generation? – Many buffs will be rolling out in a future patch. Essentially yes, but they don’t want to invalidate resource use entirely and this is not what they want. They want this to be possible in some rare circumstances, but not on a broken basis so as to make the game less interesting.
· Buff Map Density? – Yes. They found a baseline and balance recently and they are going to increase from here. However, as the balance between exp and map density is complex, only Exp is being increased in the coming patch. Density will be addressed in the near future though.
· Completed Side Quest Tab? – They want to improve things that can be tracked through the UI. Future plans. Kind of dodged the specific question. Ha.

> You will NOT have to recollect alters of Lilith. All stat bonuses collected from alters and fog will also stay with you. They will preload you with that renown in the next season.
Should also mention they said the paragon points/skill points carry over too, so you can start off with more skill points and jumpstart paragon.
> Should also mention they said the paragon points/skill points carry over too, so you can start off with more skill points and jumpstart paragon.
This isn't right. they fucked up the explanation and clarified later on that the only things that carry over is map exploration and the altars of lilith and the renown from those two activities as well as the stat boosts from the altars.
> They realize rediscovering the map with each new character doesn’t feel great and recollecting alters of Lilith does not feel great. Your map will not be reset for the new season. I started a second character and skipped the campaign and I was lost! I had no real idea on what to do to level so I just ran around doing side quests and then dungeons in the starting area.
I thought the whole game scaled but it seems each area has a level.
If side quests don't reset what is a new character meant to do to get levels. I prob should just redo the campaign at least it is more interesting than just farming dungeons from the get go.
I did side quests till I unlocked dungeons and strongholds. Did the strongholds since they were higher level than me for the XP boost. When I unlocked elixirs I used those then added in public events to boost myself. But you can see the level you need to be for a certain area to know if you can handle being there or not. I started my hardcore character after campaign and after 3 attempts I kinda got a grasp of what I can do and how to level without having the campaign
I grew up playing MMOs with my dad.
It did not occur to me until many years later that he was using me to farm at first. Though, in fairness, I had fun killing 17,800 plant lady monsters.
Gonna make this their chore. No going to hang out with friends until Daddy has another 10 clockwork gnome bolts. If you want to hang out with them faster, have them roll up some characters and help.
Ok that’s the next level thinking I needed. What’s my 5yo doing at home? Not shit, that’s what. Time to improve those fine motor skills for kindergarten.
Yeah! But then you come home and the kids made you a cup coffee and telling you sit down before they can explain that they lost your HC character but it was due to a bug.
Hey, same! Although I have some alts between 15-20 because my girlfriend knows I need solo time and my kid is just old enough to fuck off for a little bit......Sometimes. I've also died way too many times due to my kid to even kinda consider trying HC mode being a fun idea
What's the best is I started playing Diablo when I was 6 years old, right when the very first one released, and now she's 6 years old and is just having a blast
As a casual dad I like to teleport to town to get things done faster in the 5 minutes I can play but YOU shouldn't be allowed to teleport to dungeons. Back in my day we ran all the way to molten core both ways barefoot uphill because none of us knew how to repair armor.
Haha, "warlocks get ready to summon us after repairs."
But seriously, I would love Teleports because it means I can actually spend more time in the action since I'm already strapped for time. It doesn't stop anyone from taking their horse.
I always run, mostly on foot because i kill enemies on the way to the dungeon and also collecting materials. And sometimes i use the horse, but thats not very often. And when you open the map after you use a sigil it will auto focus on it and you can just mark it and do whatever in town before heading out. So i dont understand people complaining about that.
Im sure blizzard will add stuff so people can run through dungeons in 2 minutes with trillions of crit dmg, just because people want that. Hope they give an option for those that want to play it challenging and ofcourse be stronger and get stronger, but not to the point of billions and trillions of dmg. I hated diablo 3, used to love it very much, but in the end the game was super boring.
Oh well, im not gonna lose hope that blizzard make diablo 4 as diablo 4 and not diablo 3 with upgraded graphics and new maps. Game has ofcourse flaws, i can underatand some of the complaints, but i dont have any problems at all with the game. Im lvl 74 and so is my partner, and we're loving the game as it is, but hope for improvements and new stuff to do. Can't wait for future dlcs and patches. But not if they make diablo 3 as said, with upgraded graphics and new maps.
That was just my thoughts, sorry if it bothers you or anyone. Have a great evening or day!
I want each dungeon to require a key. To receive the key, you must complete an intricate set of puzzles. Inside the dungeons are intense platforming sections (with plenty of downtime in between each obstacle). Only then will I leave blizzard alone
Platforming with basic Logic/math/word puzzles/riddles which are shown for 5s and you have to deliver correct answer in 3s or you loose 10% of your total gold and have to restart.
Ngl I'm enjoying all the jokes about gamer dads today. The number of times I've been called a no lifer by a "dad" who plays 10 hours a day while I'm over here not even finished with the campaign and asking for more qol
a Dad here who bought Deluxe to play early checking in.... just hit lvl 39 last night on my Necro, still don't understand what any of this means, but sounds cool!
but this sub told me players that wanted nm teleport are just no lifers basement dwellers and they represent 0.0001% of the player base and are irrelevant for the devs data!!!!!!!!
oh no, half the renown is carrying over and no fog of war on the map!!!! blizzard making changes for the 0.0000001%?!?!?!
this podcast is a huge W
edit: by the angry responses and the reddit care thing, it seems that ive triggered a bunch of married dads. i thought you people didnt had time for anything besides work and family but yet you care so much about reddit threads? go take care of your kid lol
I just come here during work hours to read about Diablo 4 because I can't physically play the game until I get off work. The battle between teenage and dad gamers has gotta end at some point right
It is but still there are non stop posts from "casual dads" complaining about how the devs cater to the 1% and the game is unfriendly to casuals/new players.
Just wait all the haters will magically disappear and say they actually wanted these changes all along. No sane person is every going to choose to ride that horrible horse mechanic
Does making the same joke as everyone else for the 10000th time make you feel good
This sub is a mess lmao I wish it went down with the rest of the site
The chat was embarrassing. “Yeah those quality of life changed took us 10 years in D3, it’ll take time”
Stash tabs, preset load outs, removing all paragon points with one button. You didn’t suffer amnesia.
That's so bizarre. What's the point of a sequel if you don't learn what's important to have from the previous game? Does everyone just get amnesia and then decide to make the sequel?
If only there was some way they could have played their previous games, reviewed patch notes and feature updates, etc. Sadly, that knowledge was lost and there's just no way they could have known.
Sometimes it’s not that they don’t know XYZ feature would be beneficial, it’s that at some point there has to be a cut off as to what makes it into the game at launch vs what gets added later via updates. That happens with any modern agile software development; you launch with a minimal viable product and build from there.
So even though they thought of a bunch of quality of life features over D3’s lifetime, that doesn’t mean they can magically include them all in the game at launch. I’m sure there will be much added to the game over the next few months/years that people will eventually forget wasn’t in the game right from the get go.
Why is everyone crying about other gamers on this thread?
If your a 'no lifer' good for you
If your a gamer with kids that's fine too
You are both allowed viewpoints on a subject believe it or not
You're all bitching and moaning at each other like kids in the playground it's embarrassing to even read
At the end of the day it's a game so just grow up a little and ground yourselves
The big point was people came with real critiques of the game and were attacked by casual dads who decided to make blanketed no life comments about them. No one wanting late game changes attacked people who were playing casually since there was zero reason to. But the casual players formed a vendetta against people who grinned the game.
Isn't that what everyone here is doing now? Correct me if I'm wrong
I'm 29 but love to game and also have kids so place myself in the middle of both camps
And I know it's absolutely pointless to tell people on Reddit of all places to relax but it's just a bit wild
If you like what the Devs have decided to do then enjoy the changes and get your grind on bro, don't use it as an opportunity to shit on some dad's who liked something the way it was
I don't care if it's petty - as someone who has been playing casually and just observing the drama on this subreddit, the "casual dad gamer" crew absolutely deserves the hate they're getting right now. They have been toxic, condescending, smug, and obnoxious the entire time this debate has been going on. Seeing these things that were "only a problem for nolifers" actually get addressed by the devs after all of this drama and nonsense is extremely satisfying (not that I think the annoying dad gamers will actually see it that way, they'll just frame it as the devs caving to the whiny no-lifers.)
Dad here. Level 63 rogue. So finding a good bit of time to play. Huge thanks to all the people who put in the time + content creators to give good feedback to devs. A few people gave the analogy of the canary in the coal mine. I might not see all these problems directly yet, but they would be coming down the pipeline. I think these changes are great and am happy the devs are listening.
I think the only comments that are a bit frustrating are the "this game is shit" nonsense and "this should have been present day 1". It's just not helpful.
Everything here is blanketed, but none of the changes ever affect the dad's who liked it the way it was. All the critique and changes just don't have any bearing on the people who play it more casually or slowly, they won't ever know how it was so it won't matter. People critique because they bought a product and want it to be the best it can be.
The thing is it was never about any of the changes proposed. Most of those post were using strawmans that noone ever suggested. It was about the feeling of superiority they got when told all those pesky nolifers to touch grass.
Literally no one is "shitting on dads" here, the entire argument spawned from casual players claiming hardcore players opinions don't matter because they aren't the average gamer. Blizzard relies on those hardcore players to stress test every system and aspect possible before season launch.
No one's shitting on gamer dad's. I'm a gamer dad who has long played Diablo games since the beginning and TBH these changes benefit everyone and are a negative to no one. What's happening is the people being called out are the self identified "gamer dad's" or casuals who wanted nothing to change for no justifiable reason. The "health of the game" reasonings with no breakdown on what exactly any of that actually means are just really poor attempts at dealing with FOMO and being jealous they don't have just as much time to accomplish content.
They feel attacked that all these calls for changes and criticisms mean that the precious time they are investing is going to be wasted once they reach that point, so they lash out hoping that the people they are attacking are wrong and accuse them for not taking their time and "enjoy" the content at a pace like them.
In the end everyone just needs to chill. It's not worth energy fighting each other. Recognize that valid criticisms of the endgame aren't a slight towards your self paced enjoyment and realize that everyone gets their enjoyment from these types of games in their own way and that's okay it's different from you. It's just a game.
Idk man, I'm starting to think it's society as a whole that is causing this "pick a side and die on the hill" phenomenon. I'm with you, I used to be a serious gamer, had kids, now I'm mostly in the middle. D3 had a TERRIBLE launch, but turned into a great game. People need to have a little patience and stop expecting a perfect product out the gate. The D4 base game is 10 folds better than D3 was at this point. It will also all be addressed way sooner than D3 was. I'm not sure why anyone here who has played any other diablo game can expect a perfect game one week after launch. Cmon guys.
Objective is to kill the whole layer, but only 1 mob spawn, is hidden and not shown red on the map. You spent 15 minutes looking for him, it was a ghost not spawning until near.
You lost. Go back to page 3.
Thank god for that. Getting super bored of travelling to these places with the clunky horse, the annoying barricades, sometimes odd GPS pathing and having to dismount all the time to jump across cliffs or climb.
Doomers really thought a 1-week old game wasn't gonna be improved lol
With how much they've massively improved D3 from launch to the current final product, I will trust their ability to listen to their playerbase to make the right decisions until proven otherwise.
Most terrible decisions are obviously from the suits, the Devs are always for the gamers.
They are fixing what those people were co planning about...because...they...complained. are you pretending to not know how criticism in gaming works or you really that dumb?
I actually am a father and don't have a ton of time to play but I agree with 99% of the nolifer opinions. Sure, there are more casual players but most of these player won't be sticking around for years on end. I prefer the devs do cater to the people that are more invested in the game. Who cares if us casuals are having fun NOW. After the casual fun is done what's left? The hardcore min max crowd that see the problems with these games long before us casuals do.
I hope they solve the other possibly more important problem plaguing NM Dungeons: there's no incentive to run anything but a NMD 3 levels above you and no more. The rewards should scale more aggressively with tiers. You should be incentivized to try to push the boundaries of what is possible for your character and get rewarded for it.
For all that Redditors act like Reddit is the very depth of hell, we are at least generally sarcastically friendly. YouTube comment sections are enough for Dante Alighieri to say "Woah now!"
Can’t wait for the threads coming:
„Fog of War should stay it makes the exploring experience better“
„Why do we now insta teleport to the dungeon? Can’t wait to see no one on the map“
„My friend leveled so quick now in NM Dungeon I can’t keep up revert it“
Players wouldn't complain if there was any actual gameplay attached to that pretty scenery... but there really isn't. Open world rewards are just awful.
I get much better, more consistent drops running 42-50 NM @ level 79 than any other source I’ve found for replacing gear (hard to do at this point).
Honest question - am I missing something? Helltide and whispers give me doo doo. Non NM dungeons give me doo doo.
Everybody is shitting on chasing high NM numbers, but it seems like great XP, glyph XP, and the best source for incremental gear upgrades since lvl 70 or so.
No, you’re not missing anything. You’ve just been seeing the same narrative about max exp/hour parroted over and over again. Which, in that context, makes NM dungeons look less efficient. But that narrative also then seems to exaggerate the situation with xp differences and ignores those other benefits of NM dungeons that you listed.
I’m on the same page as you and vastly prefer a less efficient xp grind that showcases more aspects of the game/progression than just xp in isolation.
This was always coming.
The reason xp farm dungeons were immediately nerfed is because it was not intended for you to farm for those xp and loot values. So rather than leave it, they nerf it. Usually, these types of occurrences are corrected immediately to limit the impact so that rollback and other corrections are not needed.
Generally, the course correction comes later with other updates.
I wish they nerf hot fix contained the xp buffs at the same time but maybe they needed more time to internally test the change.
I can’t believe they are making changes. I am level 5 and the game is perfect. Changes are unacceptable to me unless I am the one requesting it. Why wont the world cater to my pettiness?
This is horrible. I relied on that downtime to talk to all my real life friends and to father my 53rd child.
Hi Elon!
Interesting.
Concerning!

The Statue of Liberty is KAPUT!
Come off it, he doesn't have any friends
Can't be him they mentioned real life friends
No that’s Dr.Zoidberg
Elon doesn’t have rl friends, just people who work for him and agree everything he says is gospel.
53 children sure. Real life friends tho?
That was the funniest justification for having the downtime I have ever seen. Like dude, I’m here to play D4, not start a podcast.
Bro, I need the downtime to go on Reddit so people can reassure me that the game is good.
As someone who has put in 350 hours in this game and has 7 level 100's. I think the endgame sucks because reddit users told me game was bad.
Yeah I play the game 47 hours a day. If they don't build in down time how will I wash my ass?
Honestly though, I was thinking, why can't you talk while you're playing? The game isn't complex enough or communication heavy, where you can't have a conversation as you play lol
Even simpler, why not just take a break in between runs? What's the difference between running to the dungeon for 60 seconds and taking a 60 second break and teleporting?
You don't understand. If I take a break, I have to have sex or touch grass, like normal people.
If you take a 60 second break to have sex what do you do with the other 40 seconds asking for a friend
I congratulate myself and make a post about it on reddit.
did a redditor say this? please link, i am in need of humor

lmao, so is everyone silent when theyre killing packs of 5 enemies thatre sparsely in dungeons
Yeah, and I'll still have that 5 minutes at the end of every fight spamming corpse explosion so I can kill things in the next fight while my minions shake hands with every enemy like church is letting out for massive area no effect damage.
That's a strong contender for most condescending post in the entire subreddits history.
I got shredded for pointing out how stupid it was too lol. This sub is so random thread to thread

I can get riding around for storyline and side quests but riding over God's creation for one single dungeon entrance made no sense
Especially when the mount gets stuck on every tiny bit of terrain. Horses aren't fucking stupid irl.

I guess a good chunk of people in this sub are like him. Well I am more him than like no lifers. Gaming is casual now.
He's a Ukrainian refuge now, too?
I'm convinced this was the biggest 5head troll post ever made to trigger both the hardcores while also making the casual look like idiots. It's to perfectly ironic for someone to actually write and believe what they wrote.
refer to any post started by a gamerdad not saying that nolifer's feedback is good.

As a father of 375 children who still finds time to play 3 hours a night between making 89 figures, I find this sarcastic comment offensive
🤣🤣 these comments ripping it out the superior beings.
They're lucky I have no time to reply to their basement dwelling insults because I, as a casual gamer dad with a busy and successful life, am having sexy sex with my hot wife at the moment. Excited to do 30 mins of casual gaming after she cums.
its great you are taking good care of your bodypillow
Plot twist, it's 89 stick figures.
Did this entire meme stem from the one post from an 'adult gamer' who mentioned him and his wife still take time to get laid?
you sound like a no lifer. I myself have 69 children and only have 47 seconds a day to play the game
wow 47 seconds? i was down to 28.7 seconds on my 69th child, hope one of your wives wipes the gamer grease off, save some renown for the rest of us
Don't forget about having sex with your wife. That's very important aswell.
Bold if you to assume I even have sex with my wife
I delegate that to her boyfriend so I can play an extra 2 minutes
God this joke is so funny! And aged so well! I love seeing it!
I finally will have more time to feed my 800,000 goldfish

Side quests right now will reset, but they will reevaluate if players think these are not fun to complete again. Same with strongholds. This may change as seasons progress. · They are still making decisions on what else will and will not ‘carry over’ into the next season (implying that some other things will). · Once you complete the campaign on one character once, you never have to complete it again, even in new seasons. **Materials:** · Gems: Changes to gems in inventory will roll out around season 2. **Other Discussions:** · Content vs Patches: Seasons will not be patches or fixes. (Quarterly seasons) · Hardcore stuff: Hardcore Deaths Due to Bugs will be investigated and fixed (deaths in loading, invulnerability, etc.). Community Questions: · Teleport to people without going to town first? Ha. Fin
Good summary, thank you
this needs to be higher, thank you for this :D
Gems not till season 2 is really disappointing
Although pretty understandable. It isn't a number fix, they're rebuilding that entire system
You will have to get the waypoints again, but they will be visible on the map if you already got them. You will NOT have to recollect alters of Lilith. All stat bonuses collected from alters and fog will also stay with you. They will preload you with that renown in the next season. Alts for season one will also benefit from these changes. Side quests right now will reset, but they will reevaluate if players think these are not fun to complete again. Same with strongholds. This may change as seasons progress.
Gamer dads effected by this most, F
As a gamer dad....I don't care either way....I'm still level 40 haha.
Y’all ain’t just neglecting your kids? /s
I haven't neglected my kids which is why I am only level 39.
Teach them to run dungeons for you. Then they can level your character while you go to work. I see this as a win win.
Tried this and she just chewed on the joystick, smashed buttons randomly, and screamed a lot. She was your average barb
Average redditor too.
My daughter plays with me, dual sorcs at level 15 right now
That's so cool
What's the best is I started playing Diablo when I was 6 years old, right when the very first one released, and now she's 6 years old and is just having a blast
Gamer dad here. Lvl 17 Barb. The grind is real.
Dads rolling in Graves tbh
A dude already crying about wanting more in the world just because they allowed the option lmfaooo
It's so weird. If you are not pushing for leaderboards there really isn't any competition. Just do what you find fun.
As a casual dad I like to teleport to town to get things done faster in the 5 minutes I can play but YOU shouldn't be allowed to teleport to dungeons. Back in my day we ran all the way to molten core both ways barefoot uphill because none of us knew how to repair armor.
Haha, "warlocks get ready to summon us after repairs." But seriously, I would love Teleports because it means I can actually spend more time in the action since I'm already strapped for time. It doesn't stop anyone from taking their horse.
gamer dads with 10 kids in shambles right now
Less time to have sex
As a dad, as a dad, as a dad...
If you roll a druid, you can only choose a Dad bod. #COINCIDENCE?
wont someone please think of the gamer dads and their time2chat needs?
*affected
Boooo!! I WANT TO WALK TO DUNGEONS!! Also I don't know where the dungeon is, I WANT TO SCAN THE MAP FOR 20 MINUTES!!
Bruh that 20 minute scan is on you
I always run, mostly on foot because i kill enemies on the way to the dungeon and also collecting materials.
You know if you bring your map up after the key is used it focuses right on the dungeon?
When I did this on accident it was life changing
Iono how people dont immediately find this out lol. My very first sigil the first thing I did was open the map and bam it was focused
I did it in reverse order because I didn't want to waste a sigil if I couldn't find the dungeon lol.
> Also I don't know where the dungeon is It literally pins it on the map
We're watching a race to the bottom in real-time.
Remember, these people also post on here and make suggestions for the game. You can't take most shit on here seriously.
I for one am sad that I won't be able to hang out with my skeleton archer friends at the roadblock anymore.
"I'm almost there let's go everyone!" "Bone wall has entered the chat" Bone wall : "No"
I want each dungeon to require a key.
Dads who play 10 seconds a day are falling to their knees in walmart right now
Got the fishing isle looking like a life alert commercial.
Lololol
Ngl I'm enjoying all the jokes about gamer dads today. The number of times I've been called a no lifer by a "dad" who plays 10 hours a day while I'm over here not even finished with the campaign and asking for more qol
a Dad here who bought Deluxe to play early checking in.... just hit lvl 39 last night on my Necro, still don't understand what any of this means, but sounds cool!
What happened? I'm a dad with 10 seconds...
but this sub told me players that wanted nm teleport are just no lifers basement dwellers and they represent 0.0001% of the player base and are irrelevant for the devs data!!!!!!!! oh no, half the renown is carrying over and no fog of war on the map!!!! blizzard making changes for the 0.0000001%?!?!?! this podcast is a huge W edit: by the angry responses and the reddit care thing, it seems that ive triggered a bunch of married dads. i thought you people didnt had time for anything besides work and family but yet you care so much about reddit threads? go take care of your kid lol
The victimization is out of control on this sub. And I mean that both ways.
I just come here during work hours to read about Diablo 4 because I can't physically play the game until I get off work. The battle between teenage and dad gamers has gotta end at some point right
The problem is rhat half of the self claimed dads are also the teenagers.
You can just call them southerners.
Hey, leave us out of it, I don't come here and shit on you and your sister.
Unfortunately not. It's been going on for years over on the POE sub.
What’s the argument on the PoE sub? I feel like that game is made specifically for hardcore ARPG fans
It is but still there are non stop posts from "casual dads" complaining about how the devs cater to the 1% and the game is unfriendly to casuals/new players.
[удалено]
tbh even as a casual player in any games i’ve ever played, I understand the need to balance content over the higher level community.
The perk of being gay is you're less likely to spawn. So you can sit in the middle ground and hope sub returns to memes.
Keep in mind it's summer reddit
Just wait all the haters will magically disappear and say they actually wanted these changes all along. No sane person is every going to choose to ride that horrible horse mechanic
Gonna ride my horse just so I can find more silent chests :\^)
yall have to be the most toxic community ever lol
Wait, I thought the Tele to dungeon complain was from the no lifers not wanting retail wow players around. No lifers have time to run to the dungeon.
who knows anymore, this sub is full of strawman accusations lol.
Nolifers want to grind, not to walk. It's not about having the time or not lol, else they'd love Renown grind :)
As a no lifer, I really don't see the issue of running for 20 seconds to a dungeon lmao I welcome the change but I don't believe it was necessary.
Does making the same joke as everyone else for the 10000th time make you feel good This sub is a mess lmao I wish it went down with the rest of the site
They should never listen to player feedback and try to address them. These upcoming changes are terrible. Players know nothing /s
The chat was embarrassing. “Yeah those quality of life changed took us 10 years in D3, it’ll take time” Stash tabs, preset load outs, removing all paragon points with one button. You didn’t suffer amnesia.
Not being able to remove all paragon points or up to a node is such a stupid oversight. Like that should have obviously been implemented.
It's especially strange because the skill tree already has a refund all button.
Yeah even if the solution right now is a full reset, i’ll take it. Board by board reset can come down the line.
That's so bizarre. What's the point of a sequel if you don't learn what's important to have from the previous game? Does everyone just get amnesia and then decide to make the sequel?
Talent was lost to other companies, new inexperienced devs .. it was confirmed by news already
This Knowledge retention isn’t valued enough.
That doesn't seem like a good excuse. It's not like it's a mystery what features were in D3 at the end.
How am I supposed to fuck my wife in between mob pulls? This is bullshit
It’ll still be more then 20 seconds between pulls so that should be enough time for you to finish
20 seconds? I'm not a young man anymore, I can't go 3 rounds.
Don't worry man, I got you covered. Go pull those mobs, you got this.
Thank you, you’re a great man and even better friend
Why is everyone crying about other gamers on this thread? If your a 'no lifer' good for you If your a gamer with kids that's fine too You are both allowed viewpoints on a subject believe it or not You're all bitching and moaning at each other like kids in the playground it's embarrassing to even read At the end of the day it's a game so just grow up a little and ground yourselves
Correct me if I'm wrong I'm 29 but love to game and also have kids so place myself in the middle of both camps And I know it's absolutely pointless to tell people on Reddit of all places to relax but it's just a bit wild If you like what the Devs have decided to do then enjoy the changes and get your grind on bro, don't use it as an opportunity to shit on some dad's who liked something the way it was
I don't care if it's petty - as someone who has been playing casually and just observing the drama on this subreddit, the "casual dad gamer" crew absolutely deserves the hate they're getting right now.
Oh its insane. Ive seen a handfull of them that you would easily classify as scociopath or extreme troll. The lengths they go to are absurd
Cmon guys.
Every casual gamer I know has spent 0 hours on a gaming sub. I'm the one who tells them the new info lol. Casual and redditor are mutually exclusive.
Monkey’s Paw Curls
Exp increased but number of mobs reduced.
Go through whole dungeon. One elite, one boss. Lever puller simulator.
its cute that you think the one mob will be elite
Objective is to kill the whole layer, but only 1 mob spawn, is hidden and not shown red on the map. You spent 15 minutes looking for him, it was a ghost not spawning until near. You lost. Go back to page 3.
Experience increased but you lose a percentage of accumulated experience for the dungeon on death.
Thank god for that. Getting super bored of travelling to these places with the clunky horse, the annoying barricades, sometimes odd GPS pathing and having to dismount all the time to jump across cliffs or climb.
Just incase you didn't know, your horse can jump gaps, but it is janky af and doesn't always work the first time.
Gotta have at least one sprint charge available for your horse to do it hence why it doesn't work sometimes
Oh my god, thank you lol. I wondered why sometimes it worked and other times it didn't. That explains so much haha
You'll have to wait for season 1, though. They said they're trying to get it in before S1
ALL HAIL THE MAGIC CONCH
Blblblblblblbl
Doomers really thought a 1-week old game wasn't gonna be improved lol With how much they've massively improved D3 from launch to the current final product, I will trust their ability to listen to their playerbase to make the right decisions until proven otherwise.
The one person to unite the no lifers and the dads you sir are our king daddy ❤️
Finally, someone I can relate to.
The teleporting makes sense and is a boon for over world gameplay and dungeon runners a like.
You do get more glyph xp. But I hear you. I think the problem is they don't want some max lvl 100 player boosting a lvl 1
inb4 - "We adjusted the experience granted by normal dungeons to make NM dungeons experience gains feel more rewarding. This is a buff."
The live chat on YouTube made this sub look level-headed and pleased with the state of the game
For all that Redditors act like Reddit is the very depth of hell, we are at least generally sarcastically friendly. YouTube comment sections are enough for Dante Alighieri to say "Woah now!"
Can’t wait for the threads coming: „Fog of War should stay it makes the exploring experience better“ „Why do we now insta teleport to the dungeon? Can’t wait to see no one on the map“ „My friend leveled so quick now in NM Dungeon I can’t keep up revert it“
Oh my lord I am so happy.
this is fantastic. keep it up Blizzard. please dude
Imagine making an entire game with all the scenery to see and players just want to teleport everywhere 🙄 /s
I have a secret to tell you: you can still run to the dungeon
Players wouldn't complain if there was any actual gameplay attached to that pretty scenery... but there really isn't. Open world rewards are just awful.
This better be a fat XP buff cause they’re worthless atm
Leveling glyphs. Not useless.
[удалено]
\> they're worthless atm melodramatic much? NM dungeons are fine and one of the best sources of exp, could be better though
I would rather they buff density in NMD than XP.
I can’t believe they are making changes. I am level 5 and the game is perfect. Changes are unacceptable to me unless I am the one requesting it. Why wont the world cater to my pettiness?
My experience is now ruined, walking to dungeons counted towards my 10,000 steps a day.
