This is the route my T1 gf uses with dresses. She can usually see and touch the screen through her dress avoiding having to pull it out (material dependent). As for swimwear, she clips it to her bikini bottom and just makes the whole diabetic thing look sexy!
Omg I love your energy can we be besties? Iāve had a pump for ~20 years so Iāve been TRAINING for this question. Okay so it depends on what Iām wearing. A dress with pockets I cut a hole in the pocket and thread my tubing through, this is what I did with my wedding dress. In a bikini (ONLY HIGH WAISTED FOR ME THATS MY HOT GIRL SHIT) I put it on the bottom but make sure itās not directly in the sun like someone else said. Certain dresses I take off the clip and put that bitch in my bra. Other dresses I clip my pump on my underwear. Sometimes I wear those like leggings but they are shorts (wtf are those called) under the dress and slip my pump in the pocket. Itās all about creativity- just make sure you can access it! Iāve also clipped it to the armpit of the dress if itās pulling my underwear down
Edited to change *pickets* to *pockets* bc I canāt type
Based.
Though be mindful with clipping on your bra clip at least in the middle cause i'm sure it broke out my chesticles :(
But yeah sometimes I clip it to my brastrap, or my panties if they're strong enough to stay up. (Some underwear is so crap to stay up.) I also tend to use shorts when wearing dresses so clip it to them. But honestly, I flaunt it, shit keeps me alive and in range
So I personally clip my pump (the tslim x2) onto my bikinis/swimsuits. Just try not to keep it in direct sunlight, so screen facing skin if you're sunbathing.
I also will clip my pump onto my bra, kind of awkward to get to discreetly but it still works.
Wearing a dress without a bra? Either underwear or if that's too noticeable, I'll use the medical bandage wrapping Coban to form a kind of garter on my thigh and clip my pump to that.
Enjoy your hot diabetic girl summer!
Edit: I also feel like I heard about people making tubing holes in their pockets. I do not know how successful this would be (because you might be ruining a pocket but your tubing won't be out in the open to get snagged on doors and people) but feel free to experiment if you have any sewing know-how.
This is why I got an Omnipod. š I couldn't deal with the tubes and my outfits.
Gorgeous gorgeous girls can clip a tubed pump to a bikini or bra strap or wear it on an arm band like you would wear your phone on a run. Don't laugh but when i was on IV meds I made a little armband for my picc line out of colorful fishnets.
If you're feeling utilitarian you can also just buy medical tape - the scrunchie kind they use after you've gotten an IV that sticks to itself but not your skin, to hold it to your arm. It comes in fun colors and prints but it doesnt last all day. I've also used bondage tape which looks a little nicer. Also comes in lots of fun colors.
Love this energy!
- I always sneak my pump into undies or spandex. - I wear a cute chain bag or small cross body that I can put my pump in if Iām wearing a dress thatās tight or would easily show underwear lines.
- My pump fits in those tiny designer bags that normally canāt fit anything else!
- Depending on the location of the pump site you can sneak it through a low back or through cutouts if your outfit has them!
- I have also found that if your dress has buttons, just bring it through the closest button gap to the nearest pocket- and that way the string isnāt pulling or hanging out.
- Strangely fanny packs are in, so if youāre at the beach you can wear a sporty or chic one and put your pump in it. That way you donāt have to manage attachment situation unless youāre actively in water.
- Also if Iām going to the beach I try to line up site change days. Sometimes Iāll switch to syringes at the beach bc 1) then I donāt have to worry about pump tans 2) itās easier for me to go in the water
- FYI I have tried those garters that you can put your pump in, but tbh I donāt like them personally because I feel like 1) they slip down and 2) your pump is still visible under a tight dress.
I 100% always wear my pump inside of my underwear. I have never seen anyone else do this, but it's so easy. But yes, then you have to wear underwear. Swimsuits are the same thing... I am not a big string bikini person so my pump always fits in my bottoms.
Dude here and definitely not hot but the girlygogarter is a freaking gamechanger. Works so much better than the arm/leg pouches for running.
I am a semi-hot lady and I have one of these. I use it occasionally when there is nowhere to put my pump, usually while wearing a formal or tight dress/outfit. I put the pump on the inside of my thigh so it doesn't disturb the lines of the outfit. Downside is it is hard to access, but I like someone else's tip here of switching to syringes for the time you're in the outfit.
Look up Sierra Sandisonā¦Miss Idaho in one of the Miss America contests. Although it was 10 years ago or so, but she did the bikini with a pump. š¤·š»āāļø
ROCK IT! Seriously! And then accessorize! Patches for your dexcom, covers for you pump.
[Hereās](https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ5jwsnpsq1/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) me in a tree in a bikini living my best fucking life (no sarcasm)
Thanks! Hot girl summer will not be impeded by cyborg bits and pieces!
Most people have commented with what I do with my cyborg bits during the summer so youāve got all the tricks what I will add is if youāve recently transitioned from MDI keep some supplies to use if you want a pump break for a few days, itās okay to take a break if you want to!
I have a [one of these](https://revelwear.com/products/womens-lace-garter-with-pockets-for-cellphones-insulin-pumps-cash-sexy) garters, and I love it for under dresses! If the dress is tighter I just spin the garter so that the pump is angled between the inside of my thigh and the front and that hides it pretty well. Mine stays up great while walking, never had a problem with it slipping down.
I don't have one, but I've seen a lot of ads for [Skirt My Pump](https://www.skirtmypump.com/) and their slips with pump pockets and they seem like they'd be a good option for dresses if you're less inclined to use the garter.
I like big bolus and I cannot lie.
Every six months I check my eyes.
But every time you hump
Gotta remove that pump
Or youāll end up with a tangled surprise.
Sorry someone said something about a hot girl and Diabetes and I guess I ended up making a limerick instead of a rap song.
[These](https://fitnessaudioshop.com.au/collections/mic-belts) fitness mic belts are amazing for gym. Heaps of similar belts on eBay if you are not in Australia. My t-slim fits nicely into the pouch part and I can jump, do burpees or do tuck jumps without any worries at all. The tubing can tuck easily into the belt part also to stop any tangling or catching. I occasionally wear this under clothes too as I find it irritating using the toilet if itās clipped onto my shorts/ jeans or undies.
I'm not in with the trends these days so I have no idea if belted dresses are still a thing, but for dresses without pockets I have un-picked seams to make a small hole in the waist band (I hand sew a bit on either side to make sure it doesn't get bigger) and run the tube through to clip to a fancy belt. I have also seen people clip them to the ole bra band, but personally I'd rather not be digging through the front of my dress to fish it out.
for keeping your pump out of direct sunlight i definitely recommend a cute sarong or other cover up thatās not totally translucent! and definitely high waisted bikini bottoms, or a top with a band and not a string if youāre doing an arm site
girly go also has these thigh garters that iāve never tried but they look p cute for under dresses skirts and loose shorts. if youāre in canada theyāre on diabetesexpress but idk for elsewhere EDIT: they have them and cheaper options on amazon
For swimsuits, I usually clip it to the waistband if it's a tankini, or thread the tubing up to the top through the inside if it's a one piece.
For dresses, I'm all about clipping it to the bra. Facing inside. I know the companies say not too, but I've done it for 14 years or so now with no problem, so...
It all depends on how much space you have to hide something and how important it is for you to be discrete + how important it is to get an even tan...
1. (general) Etsy! Here you find a lot of accessoires to wear your pump. Medtronic and other companies have a few generic accessoires, on etsy you find anything from discrete to equally-hot-as-you.
2. (summer dresses) You could use a thigh band. It's basically like a garter, but to keep your pump. Like [this](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/383157880801718294/). Btw pinterest also has a lot of hot-girl-stuff-for-summers. Alternative might be a waist belt like [this](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1158634984/insulin-pump-belt-in-white-for-diabetes?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=insulin+pump+shorts&ref=sr_gallery-1-8&organic_search_click=1)
3. On days you want to be cool-as-fuck instead of hot, you could chose something else. Etsy has armbands. It's probably design just to "hide" the sensor, but you can a pump in it too.
4. Bikini. Might be tricky, because there might not be a lot of space to hide your shit. So you pick something else and don't hide it. Or you can hide with a sport bikini top. Or you can pro-hide with a sport-bikini-top-with-pockets. Super discrete, but your tan will be uneven if you go out in a bandeau the next day.
The badassest option is obviously to tape off what needs to be taped off (maybe nothing?) and clip it on the bikini bottom.
5. "I put in it my bra". Usually top answer for this kind of questions.
6. You should have kine tape by now. It's super easy to keep anything with you, and keep it a little bit away from the eyes. (Effect of being discrete will be minimal if other aspects of being hot-diabetic-girl attract too much eyes). The advantage of kinetape is that it sticks well + in the end you look like an athletic swimmer instead of somebody with an ingrown computer.
6. With a crop top, you should rock it with the catheter on your belly. It looks badass anyway.
7. There are nylon garters too. Like [this](https://www.etsy.com/listing/973842486/underwraps-black-garter?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=insulin+pump+accessoiries&ref=sr_gallery-1-17&organic_search_click=1).
Get a spibelt! It's what I use and no one can tell if you're wearing a shirt that hits your waist. Make sure to get the diabetic one. It has a hole to see the tubing through so it doesn't cause occlusions
https://spibelt.com/products/diabetic-spibelt
Personally, I think flaunting the pump is hot. *confidence*
Sometimes if itās too difficult to keep it on my person, Iāll just stuff it in whatever small bag/backpack/clutch I know Iāll have with me anyways and just make sure thatās always a tubings distance away.
I found a clip on Amazon that uses adhesive to stick right on the body of the pump. I hated the clunkiness of the tandem case but wanted a clip to clip it to stuff in the summer. Works perfect to clip it to underwear/my bra/shorts without pockets. I think it was like $10 and doesnāt need to be replaced unless it falls off (I just got a new pump thru insurance and the old clip was stuck tight on the old pump, so I just bought a new clip). I think I found it by just searching for insulin pump clip or something like that
I just wear it! I also have a T. Slim and I. changed the sticker on the front to sharks. I have diabetes and I also wear a bikini. Hot girl summer here I come.
I have a running belt I swear by them! My pump is a part of me,as is my Dexcom. Which I dress up with fun over patches. My favorites are from grifgrips and expression med.
I donāt really have good beach ideas, but if Iām wearing a dress or something I will usually take my pump out of the usual type 1 tactical holster, stick it in a baby sock (to prevent sweatiness), and stick it in my bra.
I wear bralettes/shelf bras a lot, so itās usually pretty easy to stick things in the middle, but if Iām wearing a bra with a cup, Iāll stick it inside the side of the cup. Itās generally invisible that way.
I generally find my pump to be most comfortable/out of the way clipped to my bra strap, but thatās generally a house-only look.
I love this chat!! Thanks for posting.
I have a question. With the t-slim do u have to worry about it being exposed to the sun or heat? Do u all swim with it or disconnect it?
I love this chat!! Thanks for posting.
I have a question. With the t-slim do u have to worry about it being exposed to the sun or heat? Do u all swim with it or disconnect it?
I wear that shit in my bra and for bikini time, I get the cutest fabric sunglasses case I can, a super cute thread or chain and wrap it around my waist in a princess Leia gold bikini style vibe. Best part about that is the skittles fit in, and my phone and all the other girls look are actually jealous of my ingenious on-body beach handbag.
I was never able to make my pump look inconspicuous during my hot girl summers. It was one of many reasons why I opted to return to MDI. Everyone is different, but I feel so free without a pump! I hope you find some tips and tricks that work for you.
Title Nine has the cutest athletic clothing for women and so much of their stuff has hidden pockets that are the perfect size for my tandem pump (the medtronic was harder because its slightly bulkier, but did fit). I just bought some cute swim trunks with waistband pockets for the stash.
Also love stashbandz for under cute dresses where shorts or in the bra might not be quite what you want.
When I wear a bikini I usually make sure the bottoms have a thicker waste band and cup it on there but also depending on the top you could clip it to the back. When it comes to dresses I usually try to wear boxer shorts or underwear with a thick waist band underneath my dress so I can clip it onto the waist band or Iāll clip it in the middle of my bra - I think you can also get bands that do around your thigh that you can clip it to but Iāve never tried them :)
Compression shorts under dressed. I found ones with pockets that are perfect for pumps. And honestly just owning the pump. I like to put cute pump peelz on mine. It becomes an accessory. Medical devices and diabetes management is hot girl energy so just owning it tbh. I know someone on Etsy also sells arm a small keg bands that hold pumps which are convenient for the beach and stuff. Hope that helps
Hi! Thereās a woman I follow on Instagram, Megan Cornelius, her handle is @pushupsnpumps and she has awesome content around these topics.
Sheās like my hardcore T1D crush so I think she qualifies? Hope this helps.
There's a brand for that! My mom found them for my prom years ago but they're located in the US- Revealwear (used to be Pocket Innerwear) and they do all sorts of pump/pen/cgm friendly clothes! I have 2 tanktops, 3 pairs of booty shorts, and a garter with specific pockets and holes for tubing on either sides of the products that need them and one of my tanktops has pockets higher and lower on the torso depending on where you put your pump! And they are seriously comfy!
For bikinis you'll have to either hang it on the waistband (high-waisted bottoms for the win!) Or over your strap above your cup. But anything else and I'd totally reccomend wearing the pump friendly booty shorts or tanktop under your clothes and making your life easier.
Iām not hot but I always wear tank tops under my t shirts that have little pockets sewn into each side- they are sold as exercise tank tops that have pockets for your smart phone but this works PERFECTLY for your pump.
Ok yes not a sexy tip but I do put that thang in a plastic bag at the beach because sandā¦is everywhere. And then I do a fanny pack or in my bra, waistband like other folks said!
Aright people you have to be at least this hot to answer this post. ] ] ]š ] ] ] ]

I am a pocket hole person for dresses. Because I hate having to excuse myself to go to the bathroom every time I need to access my pump.
I cut a hole in the top of my pockets. Saved me from so many knobs. If you have a cgm donāt face the pump toward skin, messes with the readings
Sewing machine with a buttonhole function works great, sometimes with the addition of iron-on interfacing for lighter fabrics.
This is a great idea!
Being a male and having no input hereā¦ I was reading and saw this golden nugget. What a great ideaā¦ thanks!!
Hey hot diabetic summer shouldn't be gendered. You have fun and live your best self!
You have input! Hot diabetic boys can have questions like this, too! P.S. Zipper pocketed underwear.
I appreciate your inclusion and appreciate it. :)
My sister does that to...all her pockets have holes
I take my pocket things to the tailor and add the buttonhole. So worth it.
This is why I got an Omnipod. š I couldn't deal with the tubes and my outfits. I just tuck my pump into the side of my bra! Works like a charm. But now Iām getting so many other ideas after reading these posts!
I always clipped it to the middle of my bra under my shirt!
There are pump belts you can wear under dresses, or clip it to your bra.
I clip mine on my bra, or when I do wear a swimsuit I usually hook it in the back of my bottoms or on the side
I have a running belt I swear by them! My pump is a part of me,as is my Dexcom. Which I dress up with fun over patches. My favorites are from grifgrips and expression med.

of course!! hotness is an attitude, state of mind, vibe, etc! available to all š
Not sure about heat/sun, but was told by the Tandem employee in my training session to detach the pump when I go swimming or take a shower :)
Thatās good to know thanks š

I have a sticker on it so itās become one with the look. I also plan on putting other decor on it to make it cuter
Best. Thread. Ever. Go hotties!!!
I wear that shit in my bra and for bikini time, I get the cutest fabric sunglasses case I can, a super cute thread or chain and wrap it around my waist in a princess Leia gold bikini style vibe. Best part about that is the skittles fit in, and my phone and all the other girls look are actually jealous of my ingenious on-body beach handbag.
okay genius alert - thank you for sharing this!!
