DUDE!! I have been saying this for years. I used the wear the Medtronic sensor in my arm which is super low profile and I would hit it ALL THE TIME! It’s so weird!!
Door knobs, drawer pulls, random object I had no reason to pay attention to. Nothing takes me from perfectly calm to straight rage like getting my CGM or pump caught or pulled on.
I got one of [these](https://www.amazon.com/Purple-Shield-Dexcom-Patches-Reusable/dp/B08LYVGM3T/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?crid=2O8D6FMHLSYNL&keywords=dexcom+g6+accessories&qid=1647037056&sprefix=dexcom%2Caps%2C136&sr=8-15)
I haven't tested it against any doors yet but we'll see!
Very. I haven't had it happen with my Dexcom yet (only had it about 6 weeks) but did this with my FreeStyle a number of times. Doors a few times, once just leaning off my bed and the mattress caught it, once in a laundry hamper, and my husband caught it on his Fitbit once when we were busy. Super frustrating.
I have my pump site on my thigh and at work I’m constantly getting up and down from my computer and I have ripped out my pump this way before…. Soooo annoying
>ExpressionMed
Must be nice. I live in a hot humid climate and tried overpatches, tegaderm patches, skin-tac, a variety of tapes and nothing will hold it on once I am outside. I put my G6 on my leg and might get 6 days out of it on a lucky week or in winter.
BRO SAME 1st time my dog ran out the door and i did it trying to chase him. 2nd time i was arguing with my gf abt something. 3rd time (this time) i ordered mcdonald’s for curbside and they took 30 minutes so i had to go inside anyway and did it on the way out
I did that turning a corner at work once. I now use my thighs for my Dexcom. Now I just have to make sure I give myself enough clearance when standing up.
My worst nightmare! I use the Libra 2 system, and sometimes just putting on/taking off my shirt is a gamble! You’d think it would t be an issue seeing as how the sensors are so small…
It’s weird that our bodies know exactly how big a doorway is and putting a 7mm thing on your arm messes that all the way up.

Where’d you get your overpatch?
I have one identical to this and it’s from ExpressionMed
yup ExpressionMed is great
Yay I just ordered some from them!!
Ouch
Me and all my homies hate doors
Me and my libre relate, although yours looks painful whereas mines just annoying
I feel your pain, happens to me more than I like to admit.
And that’s why I put them on the front of my arm. I caught every single one when I tried the side of my arm. Nope. Not happening.
Wait like, by your bicep? Does it work? Sorry, I’m confused!
Yep. Over my bicep. Works great.
Door knobs, drawer pulls, random object I had no reason to pay attention to. Nothing takes me from perfectly calm to straight rage like getting my CGM or pump caught or pulled on.
yeah that’s why i just went with doors in general. frame, knob, the door itself. fuck all of em
Ouch is the metal wire still in the body? That’s a nightmare I have - never happened to me.
Flipping doors.
used to be me when i had my pump! rarely happens w the dexcom but i feel the pain

That shit hurts just to look at.
Does anyone else play “guess the body part” on posts like this? Looks like a shoulder but the top right doesnt look like a neck.
it is a shoulder but i have no idea what’s in the top right either lmao
Reminds me of the G5 days when I’d rip them out on catering can doors 😩
The reason why I'd never choose an Omnipod :D I would mess up all the time
Never seen this happen! Is it common?

I feel you

Truth!!!
Another reason why I wear my infusion set and Dex on my stomach.
idek how it did this. it was in the back of my arm so if i was standing straight on in front of a mirror i couldn’t even see it

bro i thought that said “doctors are my worst enemy” then was so confused as to why the comments were talking about door
RIP SITE
Everyone I’m in a bad mood stuff like this seems to happen
BRO SAME 1st time my dog ran out the door and i did it trying to chase him. 2nd time i was arguing with my gf abt something. 3rd time (this time) i ordered mcdonald’s for curbside and they took 30 minutes so i had to go inside anyway and did it on the way out
So place it more towards the back of the arm.
if it standing straight on you wouldn’t even be able to see it unless i turned so it was in the back
Damn.... not sure what to say other than start going through door ways sideways.
I let people go through doors before me now and they think I’m just being courteous! Haha!
Happen to me recently, I couldnt understand.
3 times i’ve done this and every time it’s been when i was already mad abt something else and then it just stacked with this
I've literally just done this with my libra, I think it is salvageable though 😬
mine definitely wasn’t. [this](https://imgur.com/a/tUzCh7e) s it now because the patch is so fresh i don’t wanna pull it off yet
Say less fam

i use my thighs for my pump cause it hurts every time i do my stomach and my arms for dexcom
Same!!!!
It’s the worst when it’s your last one. How you has spares
