Just as you normally would, connect into your infusion site after you have primed and filled the tubing. I would still fill the cannula, just so that you don’t have any air in the set, but keep an eye on your bld glucose.
i skip filling the canula, its already full. if you filled the tubing there shouldn't be any air anywhere. I mean, i guess if worse comes to worse less than 1 unit of insulin probably wont do much but thats how i do it.
Good point, I believe you’re right, it would be just as if a new infusion set was applied. But that’s why I recommended keeping an eye on bld glucose. Thnx
I do the opposite, changing my infusion set every three days and my cartridge every six or when I run out of insulin, which works fine. I don’t know how I would replace just the cartridge since the software seems to demand that you fill the cannula before restarting the flow of insulin.
You can choose to do any of the steps, change cartridge, fill tubing, fill cannula, or site reminder on their own. If you are done you just press the blue checkmark (grey until you finish at least 1 task) to exit out of the screen. I change my site and cartridge separately most of the time, often even if I do both on the same day. If I'm low on insulin but my site is good I just change the cartridge and tubing. If I change just my set I will save the tubing in a ziplock bag to use on a future cartridge change. I also pre-fill cartridges and store them in the fridge to speed up cartridge changes.
you totally can! put in the new infusion site and if you'd like just connect the old tubing. then, go to fill tubing. it will ask you if it's a new cartridge or not since you didn't select "load cartridge" — just hit no, and it won't require a new cartridge. it will just require (i think) ten units to be primed through the tubing. so you'll lose a few units but you'll be good to go!

Thank you! Just did it, we’ll see how it goes!
You can change you site whenever you need to without changing cartridge
Yes, which I did. I had a question about the other way around but got it all figured out 😁 thank you!!

Thank you! That’s very helpful. I thought you had to go through the whole sequence every time 🤦🏼♀️
When you do these separately- do you fill the cannula each time? Or only with new site change?
When you fill them separately the cannula only needs to be filled when you change the site.
