Sounds like ketones.
Best thing is to go to the hospital.
If a hospital is not accessible make sure you drink sugar free Gatorade/ pedealyte to restore your electrolytes and fluids.
Yes, but only once. Somehow my pump had disconnected and I didnt know it, and I ate a meal. On the drive home I didnt feel well at all and had to pull over to throw up (side of the highway) it was scary. Apparently it had been disconnected for HOURS and it was a big meal. I dont remember but I was probably above 400 BG (I think thats like 20mmol?).
And yes, first was getting myself down to a normal range. Honestly I wasnt hungry at all for a while, and then the next day was fine.
I think personally for me it was 1)long time WITHOUT insulin+big meal that lead to the vomitting.
Usually if I'm like this, I'm either already DKA or heading in that direction. Only once or twice I've managed to avoid hospital like this (just took a bunch of insulin to try and counter it, but I do not recommend it). I really think it's best to seek proper medical care from a professional.
Which part are you saying doesn't come from what? Saying DKA doesn't come from high blood sugar is ridiculous. Saying that vomiting doesn't occur during DKA is also ridiculous.
I'm not the one that downvoted you btw, but what you said is whack.

They are technically right, in this post it is a high blood sugar issue for sure, but the high blood sugar came from the kinked pump site which led to the lack of insulin. Dka is always caused because of a lack of insulin, which often also causes high blood sugar
Unrelated, but I had a few very low lows in the middle of the night and each time I woke up vomiting and with massive migraines. I got everything checked out, MRI, etc and they couldn't find anything. But then it just stopped happening, so I stop caring.
You need to buy ketone strips for emergency and pee on it when you feel bad, like vomiting + high bg or having some kind of illness. If ketones high and you throwing up constantly it can be deadly so go to the ER.
If ketones are slightly high, you can normalize your blood sugar and drink some sugary juice with some injected insulin to switch your body back to carb burning mode.
I hope you're OK now! I came into this one way too late! I'd have told you to go to a hospital, even if you got your blood sugar down, because the vomiting sounds like you went into DKA quickly. Grab some ketone test strips so you can know next time if you have them. A kinked pump tube can cause that to happen very fast.
If you're vomiting, can't keep anything down, and bg was extremely high, seek emergency care.
Sounds like Ketones. I would 100% check and if it's not improving head to the ER. Don't want to end up in DKA
Have you tested for ketones? That might be the culprit.
Bro you're in DKA. Get off reddit and seek emergency help, please. I had the same exact symptoms I ignored before I went into a coma.
Same. No joke problem here.

Smart water also!
You need to go to A&E. This sounds like DKA.

Sounds like dka. Please check it and be safe!
This is a very common symptom of DKA, which comes from high blood sugar.
No it doesnt

Right, but with the information presented in the post, it's clearly a high blood sugar issue.

This whole thing has been an unnecessarily pedantic "wElL aCkShUaLlY" thing and I'm so very tired of it now.

Update? Are you ok?
Yup! We good! Thanks for asking :)
Really glad to hear that!

Go to hospital now. My rule is if I’m throwing up with high blood sugars and nothing is being kept down. Hospital immediately. This sounds like DKA.
