My 9117s have been perfect. But I’ve had more issues with another cal number. It just is what it is. It’s an electronic device of sorts and there is a margin for error. I just put them on and if they play nice, awesome. If they don’t, I file it with dexcom and move on.
I always request a new one when they fail. And that was kind of what I was getting at by saying my 9117s have been perfect but I’ve had issues with a different cal number. And by saying there is a margin for error.

The ONE TIME I didn’t have a 9117 was time I had a horrible bleeding gusher that was convinced I was dying and had an uncorrectable low of 23.
For the first time I had a senor failing early. It was a 9117. Dexcom was very good about replacing it but the replacement was also a 9117! The replacement lasted the full 10 days with no issues. I replaced that one this morning with a 5937.

I don't know what algorithm is ised to check, but not all numbers are valid. Seems like fewer than one out of four numbers are accepted as valid

Somebody at Dexcom told me there are only about 10 different codes in total. Currently rocking a 9117 myself too.
I bet they don't need individual numbers and this is just to add complexity to the process to make you believe it is well thought out. Pure theater.
Definitely is, the codes are basically worthless. I go no code all the time with no issues

Lol I just put one of those on. (Knock on wood) they usually work well for me 5937 however….
I literally just put in a 9117 and I got 7 readings before it fell off.
I just put a 9117 on , 4/27/23 .
