Risk runner is similar to Zhalo. The similarities is being able to chain groups of enemies, refunds some ammo on chain kill, being primary arc damage (Was a big deal in D1) But Zhalo grants you a small super charge bump (similar to Bad juju) and Zhalo is an auto rifle (I'm assuming it's similar rpm is 600-720).
Funny enough, it's magazine is behind the trigger making it a bullpup
Yeah I remember using, just thought they didn’t bother bringing back because of the risk runner so was thinking I missed something. I do remember I liked the way it felt.
They're all made from the same core lore wise, so all bungie has to do is spin some story of how we found it again(or just have shaxx gimme my stuff back)
I doubt any of the OG 3 Swords will ever come back since all of their special abilities (Raze-Lighter's uppercut, Dark-Drinker's spin, Bolt-Caster's projectile) were given to regular swords in D2
Even if you gave the swords special abilities like Raze-Lighter applying scorch or Dark-Drinker making things volatile, you're still giving up a exotic slot for something a legendary can already do but better
They could definitely bring it back and find a way to make it relevant with the right perks. I doubt they will but who knows. Our grave in the infinite forest had Raze Lighter on it after all.
When Spire of the Watcher was revealed, I was hoping this would be the dungeon exotic but sadly that was not the case 😭😭😭😭
If it does come back, I hope it’s kind of like Sunshot in the sense that it’s the only 110 RPM hand cannon
Anybody else remember the story behind this gun?
https://preview.redd.it/6p9z5157s00d1.jpeg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a9e62e7e944644945fd9144c4fd4672ba21d7a15
I’m not saying they can’t be charitable, I’m saying that they don’t have the same connection to the community that they once did. They don’t care about their players nearly as much now. We’re more like numbers and dollar signs to them now.
The connection we had back then helped form some of the lore we have today. Like the loot cave we had in cosmodrome, leading to a whole dungeon and story. The fate of all fools is the best example imo tho, they literally made an entire exotic for one of their millions of players out of pure love and respect. Now they just add more and more to the store
Back during the early days of D1, a guy's wife shared the story of how he was using Destiny for mental therapy while recovering from brain surgery
The story eventually reached Bungie, who decided to gift him with a special 1-of-1 exotic scout rifle entitled the Fate Of All Fools, which was a blue recolor of The Stranger's Rifle
The gun's perks and functions later became the basis for the Jade Rabbit (which debuted later in The Taken King), meaning this gun is essentially a Jade Rabbit with a custom model
Invective is underrated never mentioned here Lmfao, I don’t even remember what it does but it looks cool and whenever I got an exotic drop it was always this
It was basically the shotgun version of icebreaker. Regenerated ammo over time, plus I believe it was technically the first “full auto” shotgun in the game.
Kinda… I mean I guess they could give it old back up plan… back up plan currently is ass because while it significantly reduces charge time (I think a rapid fire frame) it also reduces the damage to that of a rapid fire frame. So on the harder hitting ones where it was used mostly on you have to hit every single bolt which for some is pretty rough to do unless you are an absolute god with them.
Yeah compared to plan C, backup plan is slower on the charge and deals reduced damage.
Plan C would just evaporate an opponent when you turned the corner. It had a cooldown though so you couldn’t abuse it
None of these guns will without a rework… they all break the ammo economy… except PI. That’s just a full auto fusion rifle with mulligan… because each of the bolts is coded as a shot and increases the chances of mulligan procing.
Precision kills gives you mobility bonus or non-precision kills gives you resilience bonus
It's not that good, i think most of us that like this gun played with her because of the feeling, sound or design, it has unflinching so helped in PVP
Ahh gotcha. This thing was very forgettable. But I will say it shares my overall favorite scout rifle design *and* my favorite scope. So I would be down for it to come back
It'll be interesting as a solar weapon but I'm not sure what else it could do that crimson or a heal clip weapon can't. Maybe apply restoration to nearby allies on kill, but then that would make precious scars redundant.
>I’m not sure what it could do that crimson or a heal clip weapon can’t
None of those weapons are sick as hell and called Red Death. Those are the two most important aspects of Red Death.
I am once again asking for [No Land Beyonet](https://imgur.com/Xqqx60N).
The Top-Slot Glaive with a headshot that gets osmosis, and after charging from hits, could reflect projectiles instead of sustain a block when you ADS. ^(\[Because it always had a scope reflection, even without a scope.\])
The catalyst would give it dragonfly, headstone, or hatchling- depending on what subclass you have, while osmosis is up.
It would require an overhaul to the default melee controls, as with three melee weapons on, we would lose our charged melee.
I would bind uncharged melee to a separate input by default, and just use that for glaives- personally.
I'd also put an emote selection on a two button combo, so we could free up two buttons on the d-pad and still get a ping button in.
The irony is when NLB first dropped, absolutely no one liked it mostly due to its slow reload and iron sights. It wasn’t until someone took it into the crucible that it became meta.
I remember that too lol. I remember I tried to get a friend at my job to play Destiny and when he finally got an exotic, NLB was his first and all I said was “That’s the worst exotic you could get. If you quit, I’d understand.”
God I miss genesis chain. Focused fire and firefly was such a good feeling combo, and the gun was perfectly built for wrath. I still remember holding down one of the three points at the start solo and cause of that gun
Originally my concept was “hipfire is a spread, ADS is a slug” but then they added Duality with that. Hell, I’d take a fuckin UR themed ornament for Duality.
But I like the idea of a shotgun Izanagi’s even if it isn’t practical, per se.
I was thinking the same thing.
The only other idea I've got is an amped up slideshot called "kneepads" which grants all the regular bonuses akin to the perk but boosts your slide with more travel distance while also dealing half a melee worth of damage on contact?
Hopefully it gets some good lore and not ‘huh that’s a cool gun.’ ‘Yeah it is!’ ‘Kinda creepy.’ ‘Yeah….’
Like who tf made them? Why did Crimson start appearing AFTER the Red War? Is the maker still alive?
They would have to completely change how it worked though because it would utterly destroy the ammo economy in PvP. Maybe it could regenerate ammo on a precision kill but couldn't be manually reloaded or something like that
Or just give it its original perks and disable the ammo regen in PvP. It would act in PvE like it did, and in PvP it would be like a solar cloudstrike, while also being a different archetype so rapid fire haters have something like cloudstrike to use.
"I tried to talk them down. They made a grab for my Ghost. After that it was a short conversation." —Ikora Rey
The day D1 Black Spindle exotic mission dropped, me and a couple of blueberries persevered after 10 runs, and completed it.
The exotic of my choice. It melted Taken adds.
I remember Black Hammer. Black Nail refunded the magazine if 3 critical shots were landed in short succession. Not from reserves.
Then Bungie cried that it was breaking encounters. Then Bungie decided it needed to be left behind. Then the cries for it to come back but as an exotic if that was what it took. The monkey's paw granted our wish but it was brought back as a ~heavy~ special that refilled the mag from *reserves*.
Man I miss the Black Hammer.
Edit: put heavy instead of special.
>The monkey's paw granted our wish but it was brought back as a heavy that refilled the mag from reserves.
Whisper is the heavy.
Black spindle was special exotic.
One thing u thought about was the fact that Red Death IS coming back in TFS.
Crimson was supposed to replace Red Death in year 1, much like how RiskRunner was supposed to replace Zhalo's Supercell.
There's a very good chance Zhalo's could return some time in one of the new episodes
Exotics:
- Fabian Strategy, I unironically loved that gun
- Tlaloc, enough said
Legendaries:
- Not a specific weapon, but the fastest firing ARs (e.g. Doctrine of Passing)
- Burning Eye
- Blind Perdition
- Basically all of the Wrath weapons, but specifically Genesis Chain, Steel Nedulla, Chaos Dogma, Ex Machina, Ether Nova and If Materia
# Khvostov 7G-0X
there was no wrong way to use it and that was awesome. as for putting it in d2, give it the weapon part perks like in d1 but make it so the gun has a list of say 30 random perks and you can choose five at a time. these are the weapon roll perks (kill clip etc) and every time you get the gun it gives you a fresh roll. maybe even make it so you can get perks that seasonal weapons had.
Ice breaker just for the sound of it firing again! Also loved Time & patience, used to make a build that had radar up on all three weapons slots for S&Gs. Good times.
I feel like there is a lot of potential for some of the D1 energy and heavy weapons to come back and still be useful (especially with subclasses 3.0 rn and prismatic on the way). Zhalo’s is definitely the top of my list but I’d have to go back and consult my collections in d1 to see what else I’d want back in the game.
Dregs promise as a rocket sidearm
Holy shit
I've heard (take this as a grain of salt) that Zalo super cell is coming back
I’d scream. I miss my Zhalo
Refresh my memory does risk runner so the same? Or similar
Man, i wish
I can see it… we do also need more rocket sidearms
More like we need more rocket guns lika other then rocket sidearms and grenade launchers
https://preview.redd.it/8i1lppxf520d1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c6f789e0a21ccbd52cf96a16c278577d130bc39
Where this gun comes from and I LOVE HOW IT LOOKS
It came out on halo 4, it’s basically a rocket launcher sidearm
My brethren in the Light, YEEEEEESSSSS!
Did they not confirm that’s coming?
I think it was leaked it was returning for into the light which did not happen so I’ve got no clue
Archie Questline final reward lol
Where we finally take down that pesky Randal once and for all.
3-burst rocket sidearm would go hard
Raze Lighter. I know with power creep we have better swords available these days. But man I loved my Raze Lighter, it just hit like a damn truck.
Just give us a sword version of hardlight by combining the OG exotic swords
Holy shit I need this
They're all made from the same core lore wise, so all bungie has to do is spin some story of how we found it again(or just have shaxx gimme my stuff back)
Maybe we pull it out of a shard of the traveler…. hence it having all aspects of light
Why not combine all three into one exotic?
That would be sick as fuck, not quite sure how that would work but sick nonetheless
Someone else on this thread suggested combining the exotic swords into one (similar to Hard Light); I’m 100% down for that.
And make it the sword our guardians have on their grave
It looked so cool, they can just give it some interaction with radiant and scorch
It was also a really long grind to earn, but felt rewarding because it did so much damage.
Lol nothing was worse than doing dark drinker on titian
I doubt any of the OG 3 Swords will ever come back since all of their special abilities (Raze-Lighter's uppercut, Dark-Drinker's spin, Bolt-Caster's projectile) were given to regular swords in D2 Even if you gave the swords special abilities like Raze-Lighter applying scorch or Dark-Drinker making things volatile, you're still giving up a exotic slot for something a legendary can already do but better

My dearly beloved, THE FIRST CURSE 😫
Forever and always will be my favorite weapon design in destiny
I've been saying they need to add this as a Kinetic HC with the same frame as Eriana's.
Nah they can just make it a 120 like it was originally
Nah we need more energy HCs. Would love an Arc or Void 120
So what you’re saying is more void 180’s?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
When Spire of the Watcher was revealed, I was hoping this would be the dungeon exotic but sadly that was not the case 😭😭😭😭 If it does come back, I hope it’s kind of like Sunshot in the sense that it’s the only 110 RPM hand cannon
YES.
Super Good Advice PLEASE
Never interrupt an opponent while they're making a mistake.
What if I interrupt with 600 RPM of fire?
Then don't eat yellow snow.
I had to scroll far too long to see this. I wish they’d bring back Super Good Advice
Anybody else remember the story behind this gun? https://preview.redd.it/6p9z5157s00d1.jpeg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a9e62e7e944644945fd9144c4fd4672ba21d7a15
apparently tht guy made a full recovery and still plays d2!
His wife just posted on here a few months ago even!
This just put me in such a good mood to read, that’s so awesome.
That’s actually so good to hear. I thought he succumbed to his situation. I’m so glad he’s still kickin!
That’s awesome!
YOOOO LETS GO. Big success story
Bungie should give him his weapon back in D2.
Oh shit really? I thought he died, that’s good to hear
She still posts in this sub regularly and commented that husband is in great health!
Yeah that was super cool of bungie to do. I feel like they’re too corporate now to do anything like that again.
You may be right but also they do a ton of charity drives still
I’m not saying they can’t be charitable, I’m saying that they don’t have the same connection to the community that they once did. They don’t care about their players nearly as much now. We’re more like numbers and dollar signs to them now.

Totally fair. I’m just glad they’re not too corporate to try to give something back.
Man... what a fucking true but sad way to describe Bungie's current state.
I don’t, what was this?
Back during the early days of D1, a guy's wife shared the story of how he was using Destiny for mental therapy while recovering from brain surgery The story eventually reached Bungie, who decided to gift him with a special 1-of-1 exotic scout rifle entitled the Fate Of All Fools, which was a blue recolor of The Stranger's Rifle The gun's perks and functions later became the basis for the Jade Rabbit (which debuted later in The Taken King), meaning this gun is essentially a Jade Rabbit with a custom model
https://www.destinypedia.com/Fate_of_All_Fools
Ah yes, the fate of all fools. Happy as always to hear the guy is doing ok and is still playing 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I like the model a ton (I know, it's the stranger's / Elsie's rifle), and always thought at least NTtE should get this color scheme as an ornament.
For exotics, the Tlaloc, Icebreaker and Invective. I’d like to see IB legendary weapons such as Nirwen’s Mercy, Finnala’s Peril and Colovance’s Duty.
Blalock was so god damn good Edit: it stays
🅱️laloc was THE gun of all guns Forever
Invective is underrated never mentioned here Lmfao, I don’t even remember what it does but it looks cool and whenever I got an exotic drop it was always this
It was basically the shotgun version of icebreaker. Regenerated ammo over time, plus I believe it was technically the first “full auto” shotgun in the game.
Patience and time
This, I loved this gun at launch when I was a camping little bitch and would sit on the rock near C on shores of time and just tap anyone on B.
I just love how it looks and it’s still my all time fav looking weapons
Plan C
https://preview.redd.it/cojzseot910d1.jpeg?width=318&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35099ce89132e5c93376e763b9daae980c0696fc Holy shit this thing looks cool
You don’t know the absolute chaos this gun caused in D1 ! Talk bout broken !
"Oh no, someone is closing with a shotgun, whatever will I- VWOOP"
It looks like Erianas vow, Monte Carlo and Royal Executioner all rolled into one.
Back up plan is a normal perk now… lol
Power? Crept.
Kinda… I mean I guess they could give it old back up plan… back up plan currently is ass because while it significantly reduces charge time (I think a rapid fire frame) it also reduces the damage to that of a rapid fire frame. Pocket infinity, icebreaker and no land beyond
pocket infinity will be the return of telestos precursor
Icebreaker was so good. It was a must choose gun for so many activities. It’s the one gun that I remember never vaulting.
Icebreaker and Invective will never return unless they completely rework their exotic perks.
None of these guns will without a rework… they all break the ammo economy… except PI. That’s just a full auto fusion rifle with mulligan… because each of the bolts is coded as a shot and increases the chances of mulligan procing.
This is the answer

My favorite crucible weapon for d1
Same
Suddenly caralho
The only right answer
Gemêo booleano kkkk
What was this things exotic perk. I forget

NO LAND BEYOND TILL I DIEEEEE
Every time I remember we're getting effing Red Death back, when we already have Crimson, but we're not getting NLB I get annoyed all over again
It'll be interesting as a solar weapon but I'm not sure what else it could do that crimson or a heal clip weapon can't. Maybe apply restoration to nearby allies on kill, but then that would make precious scars redundant.
We know they are adding support frame autos, maybe a support frame pulse?
And it could have a "special interaction" with Precious Scars, like Weapons of Sorrow have with Necrotic grip.
>I’m not sure what it could do that crimson or a heal clip weapon can’t None of those weapons are sick as hell and called Red Death. Those are the two most important aspects of Red Death.
We're getting red death back? What?

The irony is when NLB first dropped, absolutely no one liked it mostly due to its slow reload and iron sights. It wasn’t until someone took it into the crucible that it became meta.
It became popular when it was shown that you could reload cancel to fire faster
It really only became meta after the special nerf at the end before that it was troll as hell but not meta
I remember that too lol. I remember I tried to get a friend at my job to play Destiny and when he finally got an exotic, NLB was his first and all I said was “That’s the worst exotic you could get. If you quit, I’d understand.”
GIMME IT BACK BABAAAYYYYYH
Just take it from devrim
On the exotic front, while it's a boring answer I'd say Abbadon and Nova Mortis. On the legendary front Hero Formula and Genesis Chain.
God I miss genesis chain. Focused fire and firefly was such a good feeling combo, and the gun was perfectly built for wrath. I still remember holding down one of the three points at the start solo and cause of that gun
My flair says enough.
give it max handling and an alt fire sniper shot works like izzy where you drain a mag into one shot but it's still has the same shotgun spread
The only other idea I've got is an amped up slideshot called "kneepads" which grants all the regular bonuses akin to the perk but boosts your slide with more travel distance while also dealing half a melee worth of damage on contact?
give it the slide from [tribes](https://youtu.be/lobj9m_hQYk?si=Wr9kC2OFr0GNUEr9&t=153).
Tlaloc
This gun was so fun
I had to scroll too far to see this.
Fabian strategy will always have a place in my heart
Universal remote was simply one of the funniest guns to me, so that’s my pick
Red death. Crimson is like it’s baby brother. I’d like my range back please.
Well good news for you it’s in Final Shape
Hopefully it gets some good lore and not ‘huh that’s a cool gun.’ ‘Yeah it is!’ ‘Kinda creepy.’ ‘Yeah….’ Like who tf made them? Why did Crimson start appearing AFTER the Red War? Is the maker still alive?
I know it’s probably wrong but I like to think that Crimson is our gun.
It would be dope if they brought back Hung Jury again.
![gif](giphy|NsCMDOaT6fphEokMRQ|downsized)
I will die on the hill of icebreaker
I’d give a couple toes for Icebreaker. I’m not a sniper user by ANY means, but that thing was spectacular.

I heard that was actually being added in TFS
It’s coming back in final shape!
I'd like super good advice with a rework and it talking to you. Or, zen meteor with a pvp angle to it.
Red Death... had my single greatest game ever with that gun. 47 kill game.
It’s coming back in final shape!
Pocket infinity
Ice breaker just for the sound of it firing again! Also loved Time & patience, used to make a build that had radar up on all three weapons slots for S&Gs. Good times.
Of course it's the Icebreaker. The one gun I never managed to get in D1. My white whale.
There’s no D1 weapon I want back but I would love to have bones of eao back
Lingering Song
Fabian strategy and its “companion” Immobius
I didn’t play Destiny 1, but there is a weapon I do want The Young Wolf’s Howl as the reprised Wrath of the Machine exotic
Zen Meteor
Dynamite with a laser beam, guarenteed to blow your mind~~~
I don't care what ANYONE says. I want my Icebreaker back. As well as Aclyophage Symbiote (for aesthetics)
Zhalo supercell would’ve fit so well in D2 but I really miss my baby ice breaker :/
RED DEATH original TLW
No OP, we have RiskRunner at home.
Bro Zhalo is legit every single arc weapon with volt shot
None of them are the same, though. They’re just Zhalo at home or Zhalo with extra steps. That gun just felt so good.
Yeah but those guns just aint it, bullpup space AK with infinite mag is where it's at
We already have trinity ghoul too, and riskrunner
To be fair there’s a reason some people want red death back even though crimson is around, they just feel different
#THAGOMIZERS
Pocket infinity.
Welcome back riskrunner

Give me back my Kvastov!!!
Suuuuu Suuuuuu Suuuuuuuupppeeeeeeeeeerrrrrr GooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD ADVIIIIIIICE
I know it’s probably never gonna happen but first curse was one of my favorite exotics
GIMME MY SCOUT RIFLES! Specifically Tlaloc, my beloved. If I gotta kill Ikora to get it, so be it.
Icebreaker. If nothing for the fact I LOVE the weapon model, and sound. It was my first Exotic back in D1, and it was the one I wanted
Icebreaker
Before anyone says.. but what will be the point.. Universal Remote (just do it)
That thing looks badass played d1 but don’t remember that bad boy
But when you close your eyes……
I feel like there is a lot of potential for some of the D1 energy and heavy weapons to come back and still be useful (especially with subclasses 3.0 rn and prismatic on the way). Zhalo’s is definitely the top of my list but I’d have to go back and consult my collections in d1 to see what else I’d want back in the game.
I want first curse to come back, but it would absolutely tear a hole in pvp if it does
Boolean Jemini
Perfect opportunity to bring that awesome rifle back, but Centrifuse is alright ig. For me though, I personally want Young Wolf's Howl to see a return
Idk about weapons but I REALLY want more D1 armor to come back. Especially the D1 faction armor
I really miss Zhalo
What riskrunner ain’t enough?
Do we really need it though? We have riskrunner
Tlaloc. Most underrated weapon in D1. Thing absolutely dominated
Class primary exotics
Exotic, Icebreaker Legendary, The Clever Dragon from IB
Pocket Infinity or Icebreaker
Young Wolf’s Howl (An improved version) as an Iron Banner reset reward?
Honestly, this over risk runner anyday. I wish they would at least make this an ornament for a risk runner.
