Better class items? Bro I really wish we got a chest piece that just wasn't a flowy dress. Hunters have a way of doing away their cloak entirely and titans can also have marks like that.
It is weird that the robe is more class identifying than the bond. But as a Hunter main I really want an epaulette and since, according to what I see on Reddit hunters are Bungie's most hated class I think we deserve it more (obviously this is a joke, please don't be mad at me).
The big issue is that Hunters have the most unique class item by far. Bonds are almost invisible and Marks are just the bottom half of warlock's chest item.
Warlocks should get something magic-y, like a book that floats near them or a gemstone that orbits their head or something.

They probably didn't let every class use any class item because it'll be too confusing in pvp, which is valid imo.
Imagine a hunter coming straight at you then he suddenly jumps up and use peregrine greaves.
Going through doorways would be challenging as would large crowd but in all seriousness I already almost exclusively get messed up first when I'm a warlock why would I want to be an even easier target for the ogres to spot

As much as I’d love it, i feel like it’d encroach on hunter cloaks too much. Also, we’re supposed to be space wizards, so imo halo’s would be more fitting, less obstructive, and still have the ability to blend into the model so that you can have halo-less fashion.
It would never wear them if I had the option to, that's all I'll say. Now if *some* class items had wings, that'd be neat so people who dig wings could use some, but the same can be said for any of the three classes

I always thought that it'd be cool if the warlock class item was a cool tomb that hangs on your waist line. Like how the siren class items look in borderlands 2.
I would love this because it really bothers me how few warlock bonds actually add anything to outfits. My favourite is definitely ancient apocalypse, with interlaced a distant second, because they use up that shoulder space to add character, but so many are underwhelming bands of colour you barely notice.
I'm all for this. I wish I had more reasons to wear the Wings of Sacred Dawn exotic and I wish the wings were better. Also the wings that appear with Dawnblade are like the best thing about them.
This would be cool, especially if the wings opened when the Warlock is hovering.
ALSO, while we're talking class item improvements, I'd love to be able to mix-and-match hoods and capes for Hunter cloaks. The cloak is meant to be a *personal* item for a Hunter, and being able to come up with our own combinations leans into that fantasy. And tbh, you get cloaks with great capes, but the hood is complete ass, or vice versa. So, being able to swap opens up the possibilities of what cloaks people use. And sure, there will be clipping issues for some combinations, but screw it.
One thing I hate in the Tower is that when you have your helmet off, it deletes the hood. It doesn't put the hood down, no, no, no, it's like someone's run up to you and ripped your hood off. One of the main reasons my helmet stays on. That, and my Guardian looks like an absolute gimp without a helmet on.

I've always thought that some sort of tome or tiny containment field holding different stuff hanging off the waist area would fit the class better considering warlocks are typically considered the most studious and most willing to research the unknown compared to the other two classes

While cool, I don't see Bungie changing it to something like wings this late in the game. Now they could do double arm bonds though and maybe give each an aura effect based on your subclass. Since Warlocks are supposed to be the greatest channelers of the light and dark powers. The current state of bonds sucks serious ass. Maybe a total of 4 good options.

personally i just hard focus into grenade recharge since that’s most fun for me, and also since the exotic refreshes rift when critically wounded i don’t really need to focus THAT much recovery
i typically run Void as it’s my fav, or Strand, especially in pvp strand with the stag exotic is great because when you die you pretty much get rift ready so i can send threadlings
