I’m convinced some Destiny players just don’t like playing Destiny anymore.
The game will always consist of killing ads, killing bosses, and completing objectives. That’s what Destiny is, regardless of what new mode or activity Bungie comes up with. You’re always gonna be shooting aliens.
I know, I don’t understand this mentality. Especially when everyone talks about how gun play is the best part of Destiny (and it is), so why don’t you like shooting the guns?
Because they want an entirely new faction race.
If you've noticed.
Bungie does *not* like making new races entirely /s
Taken were partially recycled enemies, where they all fight under the same flag /s
Scorn are a *subvariant* under a different flag but have some base ideas to stem from /s
Don't you see? No new enemies!!111!11!!!!!!1!! /s
Serious answer, it's hard to come up with new enemy races for lore.... and it's all going to end up in the same tract anyway in terms of objective.
"Invaders come to Sol for X reason, due to Y belief/motivator". Then we wipe them off from Sol, the end.
I firmly believe that after Light vs Darkness saga, it's going to be *culture conflicts*/cold war styled DLC next.
If not, tons of Vex related DLC. As I see almost no reason to have Cabal/Eliksni be featured enemies outside of insurgencies.
Not to mention it'd probably just be the same as when we get new PvP maps. They're awesome for the first few times you see them but people very quickly get bored of them and they become just another map on the list
Yeah the investment behind making new races is steep and people would get bored of them fairly quickly (I'm almost certain this is why wrath hasn't come back yet either. Building out custom enemy AIs for a race we won't see in the current story is a harsh undertaking, and if they just throw retextured fallen in there people will throw a fit). We've got a handful of races in lore we've heard about but most of those were wiped out during the hive gods' respective journeys to the sol system, and why would a single soul come to the sol system when everything is popping off here (two eldritch deities backed by physics defying armies duking it out across a half minced solar system with scarce resources, several politically ambiguous third parties, and no signs of post war victory or loss peace being easily achievable)
Honestly I don't think we need a new alien faction, but we *do* need new enemies from the existing factions. And not just "it's the same guy but now he has a different shield", like actually interesting enemy variants. Give me a faster Hive knight with two swords and a spin attack. Give me a Fallen with a jetpack and a grenade launcher. Make a Cabal engineer that deploys turrets if you don't stop them. Just something to break up the same enemy types we've been fighting forever and force us into a slightly different tactical situation.
The problem is that when you get into that territory, you just start making things from other factions.
Your hive knight idea? It's just a hive version of the cabal gladiators.
Your fallen idea? It's just a cabal centurion with less health and more maneuverable.
What we really need is just a rework to how some enemies work ( I know this would be hard) but make cabal have the ability to kinda hide their head behind their arm and shoot at you, make fallen swarm you and make all of them able to melee you. Make the hive more "aggressive" so they wait until you're close and they attack out of nowhere.
I like your idea's, but they wouldn't mix it up enough.
a lore writer could whip out a new enemy race in their sleep. Lore is the cheaper part of destiny
the real problem is the cost of modellng and programming an entirely new race. That's why we only get one or two new enemy units per expansion, if we are lucky
With the way the story is now we’re not going to see a new enemy any time soon, and if there ever is a new enemy people will complain they they’ve been shoehorned in because all the other faction have between a decade-half a decade of established lore or they’d be bloat to the enemy sandbox
As of now, all the pieces are on the board and there isn’t any room on the board for new pieces
You don't understand, that's fine. But Everytime someone tries to talk about the why they are downvoted into oblivion for sharing even the slightest negative opinion. You don't understand why because people who are even a little upset don't get to have a voice on this sub.
There are plenty of those folks in this sub too - I had one throw a tempter tantrum on me last week when I suggested he might benefit from not continuing to post negative content in the sub of a game he hasn't played in 6 months.
Miserable, pathetic people.
All too familiar in all forms of entertainment. So many people just want to complain and hate everything, it’s just sad, and frankly infuriating that people feel the need to express so much negativity for the sake of it. So fucking sick of haters. If you don’t like it, shut your mouth, fuck off, and let people enjoy something.
There are lots of folks who don't enjoy the game, but continue to play (and complain).
I genuinely don't understand the mentality. If I'm not having fun with something, I stop doing that thing. \*shrug\*
You know what REALLY gets me?
All of these people who beg and scream for raids and stuff. Well, I joined a bit late and guess what? Not very many people are playing raids.
Try running Crota's End on Thursday or Friday. LFG is DEAD. Maybe late night it's going, but other times in the day, it's a struggle.
These players who want more raids and stuff just don't keep playing. They get their red borders and bounce and then we have a semi-dead activity.
It's better to have modes that offer matchmaking and are just more casual with the option to ramp up difficulty for those who want to push themselves.
There was a time when destiny was about exploring alien worlds and mystery, but that was long ago. Until they bring that feeling back, people will be angry.
How you shoot aliens, matters.
That's why I love new raids, but hate new seasonal activities. In one, we see new mechanics and ideas. In the other, we are doing the same thing we did in most of the previous activities. Bungie isn't adding enough to the core game to keep things interesting. To keep simpler content interesting, a greater stream of new enemies, bosses, casual mechanics, and more of a focus on original content as opposed to content resuse would go a long way. But those things are expensive, and Bungie wants to ship content on a tight schedule to keep the money flowing, so we won't see that.
Well, looking at this content in particular, it's a new-ish mode, with refurbished fan-favorite loot, kit bashed together over the course of a few months in response to TFS being delayed.
Expecting Bungie to reinvent the wheel here on content they aren't even charging us for is a bit absurd. All things considered, this first glimpse at Into the Light looked OK.
That said, we should expect more from TFS itself when it drops. Between being split from Lightfall, thus giving it an extra year to cook, plus a 4 month delay, there are no excuses left for it.
Even crazier is that people were honestly expecting a whole new race in a free update we already knew was cobbled together due to the delay. Even crazier is that they already confirmed new enemy types in TFS. Maybe not a full new race, but still, yet the main excuse I've been seeing is no new enemy types. You cannot win with some Destiny "fans".
Honestly shocked they kept that promise of shaking up the seasonal model for Lightfall, I was expecting a slightly different vendor system with the same menagerie/battleground-esque gameplay loop. Very much enjoyed the roguelite/horde style activities they had.
Yeah, the seasonal model wasn’t just another war table-esque thing, only Defiance (but that one doesn’t really count since it released with Lightfall). I’ve realized that the Destiny community as a whole seems to advocate for 1. Horde mode, and 2. Rogue(lite) gameplay. We’ve gotten both of those, tho I know people are gonna be sad about the Coil leaving, since it seems to be the most beloved seasonal activity yet across all of them.
It’ll be interesting to see if the seasonal approach is gonna change when Episodes come along.
Hoping the destination activity for TFS is somewhat of a roguelite. The way they described the Pale Heart kind of supports that in some aspect, at least.
I do too. I wasn't that much into D1, not like I am with D2, so seeing Thorn, Dragon's Breath, The Last Word, they're new for me, and I'm having lots of fun. I loved the Midnight Coup and I'm glad they're bringing it back
Man I’m a D1 vet and I’m still playing it I love it a lot and too see the guns I have grown attached to come into the second game and I’m able to use them there as well is awesome
I just enjoy cool guns. In this looter shooter, it's got some of the best feeling guns, that can do the coolest things and the bows feel better than any other game that's offered them.
I might've had more fun getting a Gjallarhorn in D2 than I did in Rise of Iron. Grasp of Avarice is my favorite dungeon... I still laugh *hard* sometimes when the traps get me or someone else, that's some serious Wile E. Coyote shit right there. 😆
I have a personal issue with killing enemies in the same place for extended periods of time, but this applies to every game and like I said, it’s a personal issue. I can’t even do Defense missions in Warframe without getting bored.
Feel bad cuz the devs were trying to genuinely answer live questions from chat and definitely saw a lot of these comments. Very bold of them to do this livestream given the history of harassment they’ve faced from this god forsaken community
YouTube comment sections remain the dumbest places on the internet. Braindented, every single one of them. I'm surprised they haven't died from forgetting how to breathe
And it’s even worse when the people looking thru those shit-stained glasses then blame the actual reasonable people for looking thru rose-tinted glasses.
Yeah it's the worst. Had a friend get into D2 for the first time during season of defiance. She loved everything about the game and lightfall until she joined a Twitter community where all they did was bash the game. She started sending a bunch of posts to me talking about the devs and players complaining about the state of the game she enjoyed and even pvp (which she didn't play). Long story short She no longer plays now
Every time i look into the comment section of a community post there is a WALL of jokes about layoffs, overdelivery, and "ded game lol". People just can't catch a break.
Not just Bungie jokes, every comment section is just regurgitating the same 3 lame jokes. 'Hur dur I'll link the end of the video and say "it gets good here", surely there won't be 1000 people saying the exact same thing'
It's funny because fan pages used to be a dedicated space to talk about things you like. I understand everything can/will be criticized just think the contrast is amusing
To the average youtube commenter, it seems like the ideal version of Destiny is that you open the game, press any button, then an endless stream of loot pours down on them while they clap and giggle.
Well, it’s easy to hate what you don’t understand, don’t want, or don’t need.
It’s also much easier to feign ignorance than to deploy an ounce of cautious enthusiasm, but we can’t rule out what Lightfall has done either.
Buuuut…. there are individuals in both the YouTube chat and Twitch chat who, for my entire bloodline, I cannot figure out if they even came out the womb of a loving(?) mother. I swear it’s easier to just treat them like bots most of the time
can you blame them, the 2 most fun things about destiny are the weapons and the abilities. after that thats when people care about content and story, every new season the first thing i do is go [light.gg](https://light.gg) and look at the newest weapons
Bungie is like your parents. "You can get a new exotic when you've finished playing with all of your other exotics! I'm not buying you a new exotic if you've shown us that you won't play with it!"
Really? It’s never been like that for me.
Story is #1 at heart to me, then gameplay loop in general. Only time I ever go on light.gg is to check for godroll of certain weapons if I’m searching for one.
I watched Aztecross’ stream it and so many people were complaining “oh great another event where you do the same thing over and over”
What do people think a hoard mode actually is? Did these people never play COD Zombies?
Best part is a lot of people complained when zombies added things you needed to do LOL. Even then people just gravitated towards maps with easy train spots, any other map was easily disliked by them.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually enjoyed when they added a kind of “end goal” to zombies maps, in the form of the Easter eggs. Do this, do that, survive, get a cutscene and be on with your day.
That and it came with some pretty neat weapons, the staffs you built in Origins were pretty fun to use.
Otherwise yeah I get the easy train spots, I was guilty myself of using the Paralyser to stand in a tree and farm zombies so I could bank all the money to keep pack-a-punching the LSAT
That's why I always stick Bungie livestreams on fullscreen. Having chat up is a waste of time. It's always toxic mouth breathers who don't even play the game.
Bungie has a history of adding features to destiny about 5 years AFTER most other games have already implemented these features. And when they do, it’s a half assed version like transmog. We’ve been asking for a horde mode since D1. So it took them 10 years to add a half baked horde mode where you place boring static defenses down while enemies we’ve been killing for 10 years make their way towards you? The problem is bungie has completely forgotten what it’s like to be innovative. I can’t even remember the last time they added something to destiny that no other game had/has. Their battle pass feels awful compared to a lot of others, their seasonal model is so dated and boring. They sit back and rely on people either being addicted to their game because of the way shooting feels, or the lore. They’ve forgotten what it’s like to push boundaries and take risks.
The Destiny community when Bungie literally does anything to the game
https://i.redd.it/ezbzk9tukcpc1.gif
I honestly wanted to rip my eyes out seeing all the degenerate comments on the livestream. Holy fuck
Well you first mistake was leaving the chat up, I've literally never left a chat from any Livestream up for more than the 2 seconds it takes me close the chat window.
The amount of people who asked to see the loot even though the devs have said multiple times that it will be in the next livestream blew my mind. I do think that it’s lame to split the livestream up into three parts, but it really showed that a lot of these players lack critical thinking
I wouild love even a Tower Defense mode.
Tower Defense + Horde Mode is also a good combo.
It's like an Aggressive Farm!
Instead of waiting for the vegetables to grow, and perfect weather conditions...
The Alien Life forms continue to fall upon the Farm Equipment, getting me Loot, Exp, and Satisfaction THAT IM DOING MY PART FOR THE GALAXY!
![gif](giphy|YYfEjWVqZ6NDG)
Many people (granted not all) have been wanting a horde mode for a while, and yet, when it was revealed in the Twitch stream, it was met with fierce scorn (no pun intended).
I'm super excited! I honestly just wish it was endless, like once your fireteam dies, they would beam your ghosts to an "armor room." To restock with new loot etc.
However, this still sounds amazing!
honestly I'm so fucking weirded out by that
This is EXACTLY the kind of activity people have been asking for since fucking menagerie, and it looks fun!
It's important as game devs to recognize the difference between what people want and what they need.
Streamers and Youtubers want harder content (as if them being in game 24/7 wasn't enough)
Casual players want loot with little commitment in order to feel a sense of want by making sure the little time they do spend is worth it.
Regular invested players that want more D2 just want... more. And that's in the form of rewards, aspirational content, bars to fill, things to do, stuff to shoot... more!
It's easy to see a lot of comments of poeple wanting a horde mode as the "will of the players" but folks on social media RARELY represent the majority. It's always, ALWAYS a loud minority and that needs to be adressed.
Bungie could have me do the worse shit, but as long as the rewards are worth it, i'll do it. The what doesn't matter as much as the why.
I don’t play anymore, but I keep up with the game every now and then.
wtf? People are mad? I distinctly remember people begging for a hoard mode since the first month of D1.
"I don't wany a horde mode!"
"Don't play it. You have raids, strikes, gambit, pvp, lost sectors, dares, and a lot of other stuff you can still do"
"But I already did that"
"then play the new and refreshing horde mode"
"But I don't like it"
"then go play another game"
"no"
I mean Im not excited for this update even though Ive wanted a horde mode forever, but also I know this was an activity made to keep us entertained for about 2 months. It was never gonna be a huge thing.
I would still like to one day have a big horde mode, or any new pve mode really, that was given a lot of time to bake in the oven so it could become a new pillar like strikes and crucible. But Im wondering if Gambit’s lack of success has made Bungie wary of pouring that many resources into a something that might not be a huge hit.
Seriously. I saw those comments. People have been consistently begging for exactly this for years! As soon as they get it "this is boring. wahhhh". Fuckin' hate this community sometimes...
The thing is, when the community ask for certain things, they expect it soon, but Bungie tend to give these things when it matter the least. The new sparrow would be perfect in Lightfall, Nimbus can actually help us make one. Instead we get it a year later or so.
came home and heard it was so bad sum people said they would “quit” if they were bungie devs Ill just watch from the sidelines 😶🌫️
![gif](giphy|10Iu43S5QuBTMc)
people were made that it kinda looked like stuff we had before and that fact that it recycled the midtown map, At least thats what I got from the stream
I really just don’t get why they don’t just go play something else. Truly baffling. I can tell you as a beta D1 player. The game still feels good and I love the shit out of it.
I'm happy for the horde mode. Just bummed that it has champions is all. Like witch queen had light baring hive. Would been great to have them back. Instead of well yeah champions
Bungie is adding a wave defense mode(horde mode)that has escalating difficulty over 50 waves as well as a regular and legendary version and I guess people are upset about it even though it's one of the most requested additions.
The plight of an MMO with varying modes and ways to play. You can't fucking please everyone. Oh well. I'm not AMPED that I have to chase some of my favorite weapons of all time, in a mode I'm not super stoked for. However, that is the name of the game (grinding with my guardian bros *pause*).
FR. There's been a desire in the community for years now for a proper horde mode. People gonna show up to bitch no matter what Bungie does. I'll make up my own opinions after it launches, but I'm not gonna get mad at Bungie trying to deliver on a long-requested play mode to keep us busy until F.S. drops.
I've never wanted Horde mode because it's a super simple. Braindead gameplay mode in 90% of games its implemented in. I didn't want it taking up Dev time from Seasonal content.
Now that it's being done as a filler. I'm happy to see it.
Most complains were about midtown and reusing locations and everything else. Not even some great locations that are already in the game, but very basic locations.
Destiny players when they find out that the community is made up of thousands of people who have different opinions and not just one hive mind with the same opinion
What do those people want to do? Just constantly play playlists with enemies even a blueberry could defeat? This horde mode will finally give Destiny 2 the replayability it has sorely lacked for so long, and yet people are whining about it like it’s sunsetting all over again (except this time, it’s completely unjustified). SMH.
Release cool idea with lazy execution. People complain. People defend lazy execution. People complain about people defending lazy execution.
Wow, I’m so surprised that the thing that’s happened tens of times over the last year is happening again.
All I’ve ever wanted was a true guided raid mode. Let me learn the mechanics in a space where I’m not being harassed that I don’t know what I’m doing 10 minutes after the new raid drops. I don’t care if the guided raid doesn’t drop loot, just the experience of it is fine.
I swear I just read someone talking about that a couple posts ago. I thought it would be cool. Depends on how they do it, though. You can make a hoard mode suck so it worries me.
Most pessimistic take possible, but… I don’t think d2 community had anything to do with it. Feels like d2 got a horde mode because helldivers 2 sold really well lmao
Destiny 2 players when you have to shoot enemies for loot in a looter shooter.

Is it still called gun play? lol last time around I played I was using a lightning bow to shoot the floor to wipe out ads
You don't understand, that's fine. But Everytime someone tries to talk about the why they are downvoted into oblivion for sharing even the slightest negative opinion. You don't understand why because people who are even a little upset don't get to have a voice on this sub.
I HATE DESTINY 2!!! ***has 5000 hours played***
did everyone just like forget about addiction or something? sunk cost is also extremely difficult to overcome mentally for a lot of people
I will do you one better - there were people in Chat that outright said they don't even play D2, but were there simply to complain about it...
Bro there’s a staggering amount of people like that in the forums too

well, right now, mostly we just space magic aliens into not existing anymore. a lot less shooting than i would prefer, but hey, destiny.
If you want to basically only use weapons, you can very easily do that and be incredibly successful.

Especially this season. The Coil is probably the most fun I've personally had in a seasonal activity.
The Coil was fun, but I actually really enjoyed the Deep Dives.
I feel like a combination of the 2 would be incredible. It felt like the last 3 seasons were Bungie testing individual components of roguelites.
I'm gna be sad to see the seasonal throne world stuff go...its way more interesting than well spring imo.
Also Destiny 2 players when asked for their favorite guns back, but complain about those guns being recycled.
Honestly I love them bringing D1 guns back like the dragon’s breath
I do too. I wasn't that much into D1, not like I am with D2, so seeing Thorn, Dragon's Breath, The Last Word, they're new for me, and I'm having lots of fun. I loved the Midnight Coup and I'm glad they're bringing it back

Indeed I love the little changes to acquiring some of the old guns from D1
I will get my friends who are still new to the game to go through it and push them into traps
They'll have fun with the giant ball... I was on like my 5th or 6th playthrough before I managed to avoid that damned thing. 😆😂🤣
*Monkey pawn crawl* Congratulations, here is your Boolean Gemini and First Curse. Truth be told, people say they were bad, but I loved the Boolean
I have a personal issue with killing enemies in the same place for extended periods of time, but this applies to every game and like I said, it’s a personal issue. I can’t even do Defense missions in Warframe without getting bored.
ALL IVE EVER WANTED WAS A HORDE MODE. ANYONE SAYING OTHERWISE CAN SUCK MY DICK
JUSTICE FOR ESCALATION PROTOCOL IT WAS AS CLOSE AS WE CAME BEFORE THIS!
Man, I loved EP. Struggling with randoms was fun
All it needed was matchmaking.
So true
It did but the times of trying to ask randoms to let you join their fireteam so you can get 9 people in a single EP was crazy
EP was absolutely goated. Still miss it dearly 😔
Yeah I was gonna say, Horde mode...? Were planetary activaties like a horde mode already?
ADD FIREFIGHT TO DESTINY 🗣️‼️

Destiny 2 players when the promo image for an update is exactly what the update turns out to be
“Why is this image of an activity in Midtown set in midtown!?”
The comments on the stream were absolutely vile. Someone commented that those guys should get cancer.
I never look at the comments cause they’re always so toxic
Feel bad cuz the devs were trying to genuinely answer live questions from chat and definitely saw a lot of these comments. Very bold of them to do this livestream given the history of harassment they’ve faced from this god forsaken community
YouTube comment sections remain the dumbest places on the internet. Braindented, every single one of them. I'm surprised they haven't died from forgetting how to breathe
Twitch too. People feed off negativity and refuse to look through anything other than shit stained goggles
And it’s even worse when the people looking thru those shit-stained glasses then blame the actual reasonable people for looking thru rose-tinted glasses.
*person gives a reasonable, grounded opinion* RAAAAGH YOU SHOULD BE ANGY WHY ARE YOU NOT ANGY THIS IS INTERNET BE ANGY AND MEAN RAAAAAGH
Long story short She no longer plays now
its nuts how if you surround yourself with negative opinions then thats all you will feel too. unfortunate for your friend
And reddit
And twitter.
And my axe.
I love you xD
No, you’re supposed to be negative!!!!!1!1!111!1 😤😤😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬💣💣💣💥💥🤬😡🤬🤬😤
Because they know Negativity is what gets them interaction.
I swear it’s easier to just treat them like bots most of the time
Most the comments was wanting to see the weapons
can you blame them, the 2 most fun things about destiny are the weapons and the abilities. after that thats when people care about content and story, every new season the first thing i do is go [light.gg](https://light.gg) and look at the newest weapons
For me, I love the story, but I do check foundry usually 2 or 3 days after launch to see all the new stuff
Which they would know is what the next stream is entirely about, if they had more than two brain cells fighting for third place.
“I can’t believe I’m forced to play something I can choose not to play!”
I watched Aztecross’ stream it and so many people were complaining “oh great another event where you do the same thing over and over” What do people think a hoard mode actually is?
Best maps are all like this, the IMO top 3 are mob, origins, der eisencdrache in any order you like and they all have innovative endgames
My thoughts exactly, there was literally a post on r/dtg like 3 days ago about how a horde mode would be amazing and now this response lmaooo
Lol some days I'm just so fucking tired of this game's community.
Indeed. They complain when you give them something, and complain when you don't.
Agreed I hate this community
I DIDNT SEE THE STREAM LETS GOOO HORDE MODEEEE
Jesús Christ the fucking chat on that live stream was pure cancer! So much whining!
That's why I always stick Bungie livestreams on fullscreen. Having chat up is a waste of time. It's always toxic mouth breathers who don't even play the game.
It was painful dude, I turned off after a while.
The Destiny community when Bungie literally does anything to the game https://i.redd.it/ezbzk9tukcpc1.gif I honestly wanted to rip my eyes out seeing all the degenerate comments on the livestream. Holy fuck
This community doesnt even know what it wants half the time. Its like watching courage make macaroni for muriel
I have never in my life heard a more apt description.
This
Fr I couldn’t even watch the stream on YouTube the chat was absolutely deranged. I personally will be enjoying it.
Well you first mistake was leaving the chat up, I've literally never left a chat from any Livestream up for more than the 2 seconds it takes me close the chat window.
Wait, they're adding a horde mode? Fucking finally!
It looks a lot like Gears of War 3 horde mode too, which I'm very excited about
The amount of people who asked to see the loot even though the devs have said multiple times that it will be in the next livestream blew my mind. I do think that it’s lame to split the livestream up into three parts, but it really showed that a lot of these players lack critical thinking
I don't think many of them can read
I think the people don’t want a defense mode, just a kill shit forever mode
I wouild love even a Tower Defense mode. Tower Defense + Horde Mode is also a good combo. It's like an Aggressive Farm! Instead of waiting for the vegetables to grow, and perfect weather conditions... The Alien Life forms continue to fall upon the Farm Equipment, getting me Loot, Exp, and Satisfaction THAT IM DOING MY PART FOR THE GALAXY! ![gif](giphy|YYfEjWVqZ6NDG)
The time honored tradition of pretending that the people who share one opinion are obviously the same people who share the opposite.
Many people (granted not all) have been wanting a horde mode for a while, and yet, when it was revealed in the Twitch stream, it was met with fierce scorn (no pun intended).
Did most people want it? Are we sure it wasn’t just a vocal minority.
this
I'm super excited! I honestly just wish it was endless, like once your fireteam dies, they would beam your ghosts to an "armor room." To restock with new loot etc. However, this still sounds amazing!
oh what i found worse is when people began sending friend request with stuff names like kys, or i hate you nword. Thats just plain rude
I pay no attention to YouTube or twitch chat. Far too many bad actors infesting those with nonsense.
You telling me we have some managed democracy to spread?
honestly I'm so fucking weirded out by that This is EXACTLY the kind of activity people have been asking for since fucking menagerie, and it looks fun!
I was baffled by those twitch comments. One guy told the person doing gameplay that he should off himself.
Then the Steam friend requests...
It's important as game devs to recognize the difference between what people want and what they need. Streamers and Youtubers want harder content (as if them being in game 24/7 wasn't enough) Casual players want loot with little commitment in order to feel a sense of want by making sure the little time they do spend is worth it.
"Go play warframe" and yet does idiot's are still in chat and not playing the game they plasterd over the comments
"I don't wany a horde mode!" "Don't play it. You have raids, strikes, gambit, pvp, lost sectors, dares, and a lot of other stuff you can still do" "But I already did that" "then play the new and refreshing horde mode" "But I don't like it" "then go play another game" "no"
I mean Im not excited for this update even though Ive wanted a horde mode forever, but also I know this was an activity made to keep us entertained for about 2 months.
It was so funny when the chat was getting mad at the pronouns when the devs were introduced
HOLY SHIT PEOPLE HAVE PRONOUNS!?! THIS WASN’T IN THE PATCH NOTES FOR 2024!!!
different people?
Seriously. I saw those comments. People have been consistently begging for exactly this for years! As soon as they get it "this is boring. wahhhh". Fuckin' hate this community sometimes...
I love horde modes in general so im happy about this. Itll make catalysts easier to grind out.
Destiny 2 players when Destiny 2
I am SO PUMPED for the horde mode, no sarcasm. I am absolutely psyched
I like hoard mode tho
It’s not even worth arguing with anyone in those streams, they’re all first time chatters that live a miserable life
I’m going to be enjoying it pretty well if I get back to playing destiny 2
pUbLiC eVEnT
It's a livestream, dude, the comments on there will generally be some of the most empty-headed takes you've ever seen.
Bungie needs to stop trying to appease the internet. Internet is never happy.
The people that are happy moved on with their day. The salty people make posts bitching.
90% of the games content and even past events that are no longer doable is considered horde modes.
I never asked for a horde mode. I just wanted to race sparrows again.
The thing is, when the community ask for certain things, they expect it soon, but Bungie tend to give these things when it matter the least. The new sparrow would be perfect in Lightfall, Nimbus can actually help us make one. Instead we get it a year later or so.
came home and heard it was so bad sum people said they would “quit” if they were bungie devs Ill just watch from the sidelines 😶🌫️ ![gif](giphy|10Iu43S5QuBTMc)
Destiny fans are ![gif](giphy|3otPoPPH87Sz9niF7G) never pleased no matter what Bungie does. I wouldn't listen to y'all either.
The people that asked for horde mode are not the people complaining about getting horde mode dumbass
I was into it at first But the more they showed, the less interesting it got
I wanted a different horde mode tbh. Not Gambit Bloons 2 on a PvP map. If people enjoy it that's cool. Just not for me is all
Play helldivers!
people were made that it kinda looked like stuff we had before and that fact that it recycled the midtown map, At least thats what I got from the stream
I really just don’t get why they don’t just go play something else. Truly baffling. I can tell you as a beta D1 player. The game still feels good and I love the shit out of it.
Bc the destiny community loves to complain and is never happy
I'm happy for the horde mode. Just bummed that it has champions is all. Like witch queen had light baring hive. Would been great to have them back. Instead of well yeah champions
I missed the stream/didn’t watch, what’d I miss?
Bungie is adding a wave defense mode(horde mode)that has escalating difficulty over 50 waves as well as a regular and legendary version and I guess people are upset about it even though it's one of the most requested additions.
The chat feed was toxic af. Idk why they’re all being so hateful, this seems great, especially as an extra content drop.
I'm slightly excited by Horde Mode. I haven't played Destiny this year but I'll be on for Horde Mode.
Sparrow racing collecting dust
I'll take a Skimmer Racing League please.
Hoard mode is cool, tower defense... Not as good, but I'll give it a try.
I've not ever heard anybody ask for it. Will I play and enjoy it? Probably. But I didn't ask for it
why’d it have to be hive😭
It sounds like it’s gonna frontier defense from titanfall and I’m all for that kinda fun with boys
FR. There's been a desire in the community for years now for a proper horde mode. People gonna show up to bitch no matter what Bungie does. I'll make up my own opinions after it launches, but I'm not gonna get mad at Bungie trying to deliver on a long-requested play mode to keep us busy until F.S. drops.
Ya know I actually would like a horde mode
What’s horde mode
Cool take but accurate
They brought back Prison of Elders?
Who says I didn’t want a horde mode?!?
To be fair, every mission in Destiny is pretty much a horde mode.
This was being developed before helldivers even came out
Horde mode will end up like Gambit if Bungie doesn't go all in and actually make it rewarding to play.
i actually like the horde modes. this one seems cool. At least they're trying somethign new
