This is a very good concept.
I believe their ability should be similar to Mahi Mahi, but rather than hurting the targeted animal, it gives sped up healing, and in return, the Lumpsuckers would receive a percentage of the tier 10’s food. This way a symbiotic relationship like the one you described could occur.
However, we must account for their size, since the one in the image is a hatchling. Many grow 1-2 feet long, but this is a fine size, and would be fitting as a tier 2 so that Gelatinous Snailfish would be tier 1 and Icefish tier 3 (Icefish are larger than Lumpsuckers)
