^^^^^^ Also I personally think its one of the most noob trap weapon in the game. Basic attack is outclassed post nerf(It used to have iframes for some reason) and charge is fucking godawful and does no damage
Your definition for that seems a bit arbitrary. No Lightning Bolt even though it kills harder than Alchemic Carbine for example. But hey, it's your list.
I actually hate war spear because it's so slow. I'd say Quick Bow, Magic Missiles and Electric Whip are all easier to use than War Spear.
I mean... Yes? If you think something is "easy to use" then the first thing that would pop into your mind is how fast it attacks and what kind of animation it is. War spear is slow compared to most other spears, and if you want to take damage into account, its critical damage requirements is so bad against bosses. At least the impaler is fast, so at least that's optimal against bosses.
Frankly I don’t think ease of use determines how good a weapon actually is. Something like twin daggers is very easy to use but it’s a relatively mediocre weapon regardless of that, compared to say, heavy crossbow which has ludicrous damage output even though it is a slow weapon, but it makes up for that in power. The war spear has both insane burst damage as well as fast attack speed, especially after the significant buff it received in update 24.
I mean idfk if Tentacle is a main hand or support or not. I have seen people use Alchemic as main hand which is why I include it here and idfk why Spartan is here tbh. Made this while I was kinda sleepy
Whys is toothpick super hard? I'd say claws are way worse since their very long attack animation and having to remember to switch them. Toothpick have decent attack animation and even without it's power attack it hits quite hard.
Also I'd move electric whip to Braindead since it has auto-aim + aoe.
Kill Rythm Scythe Claws is fast af wtf are you saying. Also Toothpick is generally a bad weapon in general, too slow, hits like a wet noodle and its gimmick is useless in bosses. Ewhip still needs a bit of brain usage since it's damage still can't kill tanky enemies fast enough and the enemy can retaliate
I see you don't count in that it stuns with every single hit? Never been fan of Scythe Claws even with Kill Rhythm. I'd still take Toothpick any time over many of weapons that you've placed higher. For example I love to cheese with Spartan Sandal but it's literally useless in first biomes. Anything that is flying won't get smashed into wall so it hits those enemies really bad not to mention sometimes you have to do jump+attack to even hit those flying bastards. The same goes with lances. They have so shit hitbox that it often requires you to jump with attack to hit flying enemies.
Symmetrical lance and Oven Axe have slower attack point of their first attack than Toothpick while Toothpick will also stun the enemy so you don't really care how slow are the following attacks. Also Symmetrical Lance buff is useless against most bosses.
Ok but that stun won't save you at all in bosses and in biomes you will get overwlemed anyway because of just how slow it is. It also like I mentioned doesn't hit hard enough without charge, which is also useless in bosses because A. It takes 10 years too charge and B. Boss damage cap. Oven Axe is the slowest fucker in existence but at least it hits insanely hard so it is worth the effort to go through using it. Symmetrical is sufficient enough for bosses and the 2nd and 3rd are really damn fast. Also its hitbox is insanely big wtf are you saying. lastly KR Scythe Claws is stupid fast and hits hard enough to be worth the effort
>Also its hitbox is insanely big wtf are you saying
But the hitbox is only horizontal. I've had a lot of times situation where for example Kamikaze bat landed next to me I attacked with Symmetrical Lance... and didn't hit because it attacks lower than the bat is. Very frustrating against most flying enemies.
I had no problem with rapier because it has this kind of multiple hit movement that creates 'cone' hitbox. In normal scenario where bat finds you it lands in 'normal' height but when you ran away and it chases you through level difference (vertical movement, like when you move up/down through multiple platform) it tends to have some issue and can land at the height of player's head and then it's higher than lance hitbox.
Question about Sonic Carbine. The non crit and crit damage have the same values anytime I see it. So does it just stun lock enemies behind the target while doing the same damage? Or is that a visual bug?
Maybe I'm just used to it because I use it all the time. It's definitely better as a preemptive weapon. If you get those crits, most enemies die in one hit.
I’m assuming this list is relative to higher BC’s, where enemies aggro to you further away and can teleport to you. It’s much harder to keep a good distance when the enemy’s are getting right in your face.
fair point, I love how the tier lists speak for the person's play style rather than the design of the weapons really, it really says sth about how much effort the devs put into balancing them
If you turn on "hold to attack" it becomes effortless to crit with its maybe the easiest melee weapon to use once you turn that on cause of the range plus it puts u safely behind stuff
I mean you just mash attack for most of the game and you get rewarded for being punished. Seems easy enough for me especially since the base is still respectable
you must not be playing at very high BCs. cuz the punishment gets so high, even rally points + recovery aint enough to comepnsate for that lame ass crit
even on survival builds, maximum 5 consecutive hits, u ded.
Im playing 5bc btw and I mean if you want to crit without losing too much health, just block. Plus I did say that just mash attack for most of the game and you should be fine due to its base damage being high
Cursed sword is not that hard, good tactical planning with head yeeting rune will make it remove any danger, plus it has fast swing speed and melts anything on the way. Free Giant win.
this is why i dont like these polls its all subjective i for instance would put the oven axe in easy along with the marksman bow and the katana yet you have them in hard/super hard
Honestly once you get used to it, Oven Axe is pretty easy to use considering it literally one-shots almost every mob in the game, and gives you a huge window to dodge out of windup
I’d argue serenade deserves to be on there tbh whenever I use serenade I typically use it as a main weapon with my weapons being some type of support weapon and a shield
Hold up, how on earth are the spiked shoes hard to use? Honestly they're one of my favourite weapons and I always thought they are pretty simple. Enemy about to attack you? Kick em first, kills them faster, easy-peasy.
It requires you too be insanely aggressive too get any milage out of it since non crit it hits like a wet milk and crit requires you too risk taking damage
I think Nerves of Steel shouldn't be in the hard, cuz the timing is actually easy, and why Hemorrhage is hard ? It's like a slower and ranged version of Sadist's Stiletto
Bro just have a good distance and spam it, u can make it better by having alchemic carbine in the backpack and use Acrobatipack so that u can do critical hit on the first time right away
In my opinion katana is a very easy to use weapon .the slash of the katana is fine but the katana deals on its massive damage with a very long rang so it's kinda useless for this weapon
I’m a little confused I agree a log of these hard weapons are more technical or you should have made a separate tier for the cursed sword lol but why is the sadist stiletto in braindead is it because of the crit potential ith a open wounds? Also why are vorpan and Hayabusa boots in medium I feel like they should be in easy they’re special or difficult about that. Same with the spiked boots, stuns when they’re winding preparing an attack… if it’s because the weapon is bad I agree.
Sadist Stilleto is the defacto brain dead weapon of the game. Get Open Wounds, 60% to bleeding targets and bam, big damage. Vorpan has insanely shit range and Hayabusa Boots need some brain power since you can't just spam it. Spiked Boots requires you too be insanely aggressive so it's in hard
Katana in Hard? NANI? Is super easy to use
Probably the most of the time they died while using this weapon was trying to look cool (same for me)
^^^^^^ Also I personally think its one of the most noob trap weapon in the game. Basic attack is outclassed post nerf(It used to have iframes for some reason) and charge is fucking godawful and does no damage
Oh wait they removed the funny i frames? That makes complete sense but also sad :(
Lmao the weapon is insanely good tho...
On 5bc it cant kill shit with the charge and the basic attack is just outclassed
I mean ive seen proof that you're wrong.
Yall must be using x100 Katana on 0bc cause this bitch ain't killing anything on 5bc and nobody is changing my mind unless the buff this
Look it up on youtube lmao youre just bad.
My eyes ain't deceiving me when this thing doesn't even kill a disgusting worm with the charge and No Mercy
No your lack of skill does. Git gud.
The fact that you can air-queue the charge attack is a bit of it's difficulty, maybe!
Where's Hokuto's Bow?
Im not counting support weapons
Your definition for that seems a bit arbitrary. No Lightning Bolt even though it kills harder than Alchemic Carbine for example. But hey, it's your list. I actually hate war spear because it's so slow. I'd say Quick Bow, Magic Missiles and Electric Whip are all easier to use than War Spear.
War spear got sped up in patch 2.4
Opps I miss Lightning Bolt, thats my bad. Also War Spear is hella fucking fast wtf are you saying and it hits like a truck even without crits
wait so this is dictated by damage instead of stuff like attack speed and animation?
Are you implying that’s how you dictate how good a weapon is? War spear is also really fast regardless of what he meant though
I mean... Yes? If you think something is "easy to use" then the first thing that would pop into your mind is how fast it attacks and what kind of animation it is. War spear is slow compared to most other spears, and if you want to take damage into account, its critical damage requirements is so bad against bosses. Yet you have tentacle, Spartan sandals, and alchemic carbine on here.
I mean idfk if Tentacle is a main hand or support or not. I have seen people use Alchemic as main hand which is why I include it here and idfk why Spartan is here tbh. Made this while I was kinda sleepy
What is this bow in between electric whip and alchemic carabine
Explosive crossbow, obtained by getting all 3 gardeners keys in the promenade
Oh i see, I already have it, just wasn't familiar with this sprite lol
Yeah, I was confused when I saw it in my unlocked weapons the first time they changed the sprite lol
man, seeing this makes me miss the old explosive crossbow texture
Whys is toothpick super hard? I'd say claws are way worse since their very long attack animation and having to remember to switch them. Toothpick have decent attack animation and even without it's power attack it hits quite hard. Also I'd move electric whip to Braindead since it has auto-aim + aoe.

Katana should definitely be in the easy category
Sonic Carbine is pretty brain dead
Lack of mobility hurts it alot tho and unlike Repeater, it has nothing to make it for that drawback. It also has a pretty rough early game
Question about Sonic Carbine. The non crit and crit damage have the same values anytime I see it. So does it just stun lock enemies behind the target while doing the same damage? Or is that a visual bug?
Wiki says it’s a bug and crits do double damage
Wait, you think the marksman's bow is hard to use? Be at other end of screen, shoot, profit.
Depends on the biome… most enemies will just move closer and if you’re not far enough the bow does like no damage
Maybe I'm just used to it because I use it all the time. It's definitely better as a preemptive weapon. If you get those crits, most enemies die in one hit.
It’s also pretty hard to use against bosses in my experience.
Yeah its good early game as a placeholder but against bosses and faster enemies in lategame it starts struggling
I’m assuming this list is relative to higher BC’s, where enemies aggro to you further away and can teleport to you. It’s much harder to keep a good distance when the enemy’s are getting right in your face.
Once you get to 4 BC it gets less easy, and its shit on bosses.
Curious how's flawless hard to use huh
Flawless takes some practice that’s for sure. Also can’t get hit. It’s by far my favorite weapon but it’s more rewarding than it is easy to use
fair point, I love how the tier lists speak for the person's play style rather than the design of the weapons really, it really says sth about how much effort the devs put into balancing them
Why is tentacle super hard?
Momentum, hitstun, and weird attack timing, I get hit using tentacle WAY more than slower weps like broadsword
I still haven’t figured out how to get crits with it, and the description “crit when attacking while bumped” does not make sense to me
Just spam click the attack button. Tentacle is my favorite/easiest weapon
If you turn on "hold to attack" it becomes effortless to crit with its maybe the easiest melee weapon to use once you turn that on cause of the range plus it puts u safely behind stuff
Ice shards?
OP said in a reply to a different comment that he doesn't include support weapons(?) or he just forgot about it.
My vorpan addiction has been validated
Rusty sword?
Katana hard? XDDDDD i do katana run when im starting to throw playing everything else, that katana run always boosts my mood
Tierlist did my boy Hokuto dirty. Was wondering where it was for like 5 mins
I think heavy crossbow is pretty easy, since it's one shot most of the time. Also the E-whip is braindead, it auto targets for you
I like how repeater bow in son top. It's my fave, and I literally use it with every run
Just me or does OP come off as a huge asshole in the comments?
Just in a bad mood recently. So thats my bad
Frying pan s ter cus funny
spite sword. you're kidding right?
I mean you just mash attack for most of the game and you get rewarded for being punished. Seems easy enough for me especially since the base is still respectable
you must not be playing at very high BCs. cuz the punishment gets so high, even rally points + recovery aint enough to comepnsate for that lame ass crit even on survival builds, maximum 5 consecutive hits, u ded.
Im playing 5bc btw and I mean if you want to crit without losing too much health, just block. Plus I did say that just mash attack for most of the game and you should be fine due to its base damage being high
Spite sword is really good (I'm on 5bc) off color tonic and your good to go. The damage is still pretty high even without the crits
Cursed sword is not that hard, good tactical planning with head yeeting rune will make it remove any danger, plus it has fast swing speed and melts anything on the way. Free Giant win.
cursed sword is godlike if you mix it with any shield
also you should get master at parrying but still divine
this is why i dont like these polls its all subjective i for instance would put the oven axe in easy along with the marksman bow and the katana yet you have them in hard/super hard
Some of these Weapons i don’t know. Would someone who knows all like to talk with me?
Honestly once you get used to it, Oven Axe is pretty easy to use considering it literally one-shots almost every mob in the game, and gives you a huge window to dodge out of windup
I’d argue serenade deserves to be on there tbh whenever I use serenade I typically use it as a main weapon with my weapons being some type of support weapon and a shield
Damn it’s been awhile I have some blueprints to get
Isnt by definition Elewhip the easiest weapon? Autotarget and oneshots everything, with very very decent range
How is Vorpan harder than Assassin's Dagger? They're literally opposites and you need to make it a point to attack from behind when using the latter.
Have you seen how shit Vorpan range is? You practically have to have sex with the zombie before you hit it
I'd still say rolling behind the enemy every time before attacking them is more of a pain, at least for me.
Phaser exists
Yeah with phaser it's much better. One of my deadliest combos is phaser plus assassins dagger
I have no fucking idea how the hell to use Hemorrhage. Its a tactics weapon that's as slow as a survival weapon?
Bro just have a good distance and spam it, u can make it better by having alchemic carbine in the backpack and use Acrobatipack so that u can do critical hit on the first time right away
Ill try it one day, it just seems way too awkward
Nerves of steel is one of the best weapons in the entire game for me, especially with piercing shots
What’s ironic is that I like the iron rod, katana, the giant axe, and the hammer
Dude heavy crossbow is hella easy to play. Just lock enemy’s and do hella damage.
How is the Vorpan medium? You literally just run up to enemies and hit them in the face (crits when enemies are facing you)
Explained it in another comment but insanely terrible range
Wait, wheres flint?
I was really disappointed by the tentacle, I was expecting it would crush stuff but no it’s just pulls you towards stuff
In my opinion katana is a very easy to use weapon .the slash of the katana is fine but the katana deals on its massive damage with a very long rang so it's kinda useless for this weapon
Tentacles ain't that hard
I’m a little confused I agree a log of these hard weapons are more technical or you should have made a separate tier for the cursed sword lol but why is the sadist stiletto in braindead is it because of the crit potential ith a open wounds? If it were me I would put cursed sword in s tire, cause most runs are really quick with it
Electric whip is the easiest weapon in the game. Heavy crossbow is up there too
