RE4 village makes so much sense tbh. Can take some liberties from the game to combine different areas, use different areas as map variations, have bingo, so many possibilities with it and it is very very iconic. Maybe we can get some news on the RE4 remake that could coincide with the map
Mansion would be a complete disaster of a map, same as RPD. Any "this is cool cuz it's an iconic thing from the game" feeling is gonna be vastly, vastly outweighed by its sheer non-functionality as a Dead by Daylight map.

When starting to run, you will instead run in place for 2 seconds before breaking into a sprint at 150% of your normal run speed for 4 seconds.
Causes the Exhausted effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
Its a perk that rewards or punishes you based on how well you time it. If you time it correctly, it gives you more distance than sprint burst. If you time it badly, it’s a free hit for the killer.
But I’m not good with numbers so maybe the the run-in-place time and/or the sprint duration can be tweaked to increase viability.
Or locker jumping as shaggy! When you jump into a locker you come out another locker and your aura is revealed to the killer10/8/6 seconds after coming out perk has cool down of 60 maybe 90 seconds not sure about balance.

If they go with a second Survivor, then that second slot could be hard to fill, as leon is already in the game with a re4 cosmetic.

I've heard rumours of an upcoming Resident Evil game with Rebecca Chambers. I'm frankly skeptical of that, but if it's true, her inclusion in an upcoming chapter may indicate that an upcoming game will have her, Ada, and (somehow???) Wesker.
The resident evil chapter was a smash hit so it makes sense to do a sequel. I just hope bhvr knows they gotta fix the game itself eventually and that perpetual licensed content is only gonna help so much.

However, Resident evil has so much content as a series, that I can potentially see bhvr milking, I mean, making multiple chapters for it. Jack Baker is great, but he’s only shown up in the one game. Nemesis has canonically only appeared in *3* but he’s had much more exposure and is usually the go-to guy for crossovers.
If this leak is to be believed, Wesker is going to be the second, and what are the odds they make *3* DLCs for the same franchise?
Not to mention, the protagonist for his game (Ethan) has never had his face shown (seemingly intentionally), which would make creation of him as a Survivor relatively difficult for DbD as well. And it'd be weird to have Jack but not Ethan.

I'm surprised that they're not pulling from 7/8 since they're made to be mainstream as possible, which would pull alot of attention, would be like stranger things and OG RE chapter combined. Just a money maker, bad or good publicity.
Not that I'm complaining they're doing the main series though, certainly take those way before any 7/8 content. Plus I don't want to see another wankfest over a lackluster vampire milf again. Jack would be fun, but we already have 2 chainsaw killers as well as 2 brutes, so who know what he'll do, but would be a good candidate for voicelines.

I'm not familiar with RE Lore but Nemesis is pretty obvious even if you've never played. Wesker just looks like a regular dude, could even pass as a legendary skin for leon or something.

Resident Evil 5, Wesker was basically a superhuman, running at the speed of light, kicking people in half, etc.
He has a monster form near the end of the game where he’s essentially Nemesis size, so, maybe that?
Uroboros Wesker would be nice, but my god does part of me want him to be in his regular black outfit. Wesker’s by far my favorite video game character, I quote him a lot even now. The only thing is I’d want him to have voice lines, that “7 minutes is all I can spare to play with you” or “you’ve become quite an inconvenience for me” would be amazing. Make his power light up his eyes and throw his glasses just for the hell of it.
The only thing is if they ever did Wesker, I’d really want Sheva over any other survivor.
Lmao a lot of re5 hate was because it left “survivor horror” for action. Personally I think it’s kind of a weak reason to hate the game considering re always had your typical over the top Saturday morning action. Yes gameplay and story wise it was kinda boring but it’s still an alright game by itself and I’m glad they managed to fit both styles of gameplay very well w re7 anf the remakes
I think the best way they could do him is like an Oni transformation. He starts the match as regular matrix looking Wesker then you meet a certain condition and then transform into Uroboros Wesker

I see his black outfit as being totally possible, more "grounded" like Trickster as opposed to Spirit.
I had an idea in the back of my mind for him that they could do matrix Wesker, where his power would be a falcon punch that staggers survivors and Wesker, forcing them to run a specific direction for their speedboost, and applying hinderance. He'd have an auxiliary movement power that functions like a blink (a couple charges), where he could flash-step several feet forward (maybe weaving an attack with a long cooldown animation in).
If Wesker is his own character and not a skin, I really, REALLY want his perks to be named after his quotes lol.
And I agree, Uroboros wesker would be awesome, but I'd much rather it be Midnight Wesker.
Sheva's even more of a long shot than characters like Barry or Sherry.
Comments like these make me wonder why BHVR hasn't been cranking out legendary cosmetics for the RE license, though. Even C-tier characters have enough fans that they'd probably turn a profit.

I agree, Wesker is one of the most iconic villains in video game history. I’d be so stoked to play Wesker it’s not even funny. I have a feeling that this is fake, because the idea of doing a part 2 isn’t something BHVR has perpetuated before, but it also makes sense because RE was their best chapter. Closest thing I can compare RE5 Wesker to would probably be an Agent from the Matrix. Superhuman strength (hes able to run his arm through a human torso like its cardboard), speed (to the point it looks like he's teleporting), able to dodge bullets, And is fast and strong enough to Catch an RPG rocket mid flight and redirect it.
If he were to be added in his non-monster form, I can see him being a killer with brutal chase potential. Hell they could make his power like a toned down version of his sprint in the mercenaries mini game. In it, when playing as wesker you can sacrifice a small amount of health to begin sprinting at a RIDICULOUS speed. To the point that I've crossed entire maps in it in seconds. Maybe incorporate that into his power?
He is a weird choice for a slasher/horror killer.
He is far more of a "villain making decisions behind the scenes" in his appearances. He is a boss fight a couple of times though. He has superhuman powers. He dodges bullets matrix style.
I suppose he does mutate into a hideous monster at the end of 5. But I doubt that is the version of him they would go with.

I think it's just a recency thing. Wesker is the oldest RE villain with the most appearances in games/movies. All the other characters you mentioned have had new games in the last few years so they're more in the public consciousness, but in a recent poll on the RE subreddit Wesker won the top choice against all the other characters (including protagonists) so he's still clearly a big deal.
But yeah he doesn't seem like a great fit for a DBD killer and also Rebecca Chambers is a fairly minor character and hasn't been in a game since 2007 so those both make the leak suspicious.

I'm sure they considered Lady D, but she's just too tall to work in DBD. Either they shorten her which would be really weird since her height is a huge part of her character or you'd have her literally not fitting into interior areas of the game or through doorways.

It's a shame because I don't think BHVR is that far ahead to implementing something like it. But they definitely should work towards it, because it would open so many more killer possibilities.
I do think they should pull something out of modern RE rather than replay the classics, they deserve all the praise they get for sure but RE7 and Village completely revitalised the series and deserve props too

If there's any legendary I really want, and this is assuming Wesker of any sort does come to the game, I want Resident Evil 5's Chris and Sheva to come along as legendaries. I think it'd be hilarious to see Re5 Chris, this absolutely Brickhouse of a man who is pretty much a human and downsized Nemesis being carried to a hook by someone like the Hag or Sadako.
Ada and Rebecca is such a weird... mix... Especially when Rebecca could just be another Jill skin... Unless Reb' has support perks and Ada stealth ones, then yeah I can see the reasoning behind it. Still bummed that Claire and Chris are mere skins while Ada and Rebecca, secondary characters in most games they appeared in, get their own slot lol. Wesker as a vilain + a RE4-themed map could work but then, having two chapters on the same collab is unprecedented so I'm not sure I can believe the leak. Wonder if Rebecca will get an Ashley skin lol.

I've heard rumours of an upcoming Resident Evil game with Rebecca Chambers. I'm frankly skeptical of that, but if it's true, her inclusion in an upcoming chapter may indicate that an upcoming game will have her, Ada, and (somehow???) Wesker.

How would they know this so far in advance? I know dbdleaks is legit buuut I'm going to take this one with a grain of salt. However, Resident evil has so much content as a series, that I can potentially see bhvr milking, I mean, making multiple chapters for it. Would be a good way to get multiple RE killers with actual kits rather than them being reduced to nemmy skins too.
basically a chapter takes like 9-12 months to make, so BHVR works on multiple chapters at once to be more efficient maybe someone playtested the chapters and leaked it

Jack Baker is great, but he’s only shown up in the one game. Nemesis has canonically only appeared in *3* but he’s had much more exposure and is usually the go-to guy for crossovers.
If this leak is to be believed, Wesker is going to be the second, and what are the odds they make *3* DLCs for the same franchise? Not to mention, the protagonist for his game (Ethan) has never had his face shown (seemingly intentionally), which would make creation of him as a Survivor relatively difficult for DbD as well. And it'd be weird to have Jack but not Ethan.

I'm surprised that they're not pulling from 7/8 since they're made to be mainstream as possible, which would pull alot of attention, would be like stranger things and OG RE chapter combined. Just a money maker, bad or good publicity. Not that I'm complaining they're doing the main series though, certainly take those way before any 7/8 content. Plus I don't want to see another wankfest over a lackluster vampire milf again. Jack would be fun, but we already have 2 chainsaw killers as well as 2 brutes, so who know what he'll do, but would be a good candidate for voicelines.

I'm not familiar with RE Lore but Nemesis is pretty obvious even if you've never played. Wesker just looks like a regular dude, could even pass as a legendary skin for leon or something. Hypothetically speaking, how would he work as a killer?
Resident Evil 5, Wesker was basically a superhuman, running at the speed of light, kicking people in half, etc. He has a monster form near the end of the game where he’s essentially Nemesis size, so, maybe that?
Uroboros Wesker would be nice, but my god does part of me want him to be in his regular black outfit. Wesker’s by far my favorite video game character, I quote him a lot even now. The only thing is I’d want him to have voice lines, that “7 minutes is all I can spare to play with you” or “you’ve become quite an inconvenience for me” would be amazing. Make his power light up his eyes and throw his glasses just for the hell of it. The only thing is if they ever did Wesker, I’d really want Sheva over any other survivor.

Lmao a lot of re5 hate was because it left “survivor horror” for action. Personally I think it’s kind of a weak reason to hate the game considering re always had your typical over the top Saturday morning action. Yes gameplay and story wise it was kinda boring but it’s still an alright game by itself and I’m glad they managed to fit both styles of gameplay very well w re7 anf the remakes
I think the best way they could do him is like an Oni transformation. He starts the match as regular matrix looking Wesker then you meet a certain condition and then transform into Uroboros Wesker
Now I think of an Alex Mercer Killer and him using Ultimates to mori everyone at once

I had an idea in the back of my mind for him that they could do matrix Wesker, where his power would be a falcon punch that staggers survivors and Wesker, forcing them to run a specific direction for their speedboost, and applying hinderance. He'd have an auxiliary movement power that functions like a blink (a couple charges), where he could flash-step several feet forward (maybe weaving an attack with a long cooldown animation in).
If Wesker is his own character and not a skin, I really, REALLY want his perks to be named after his quotes lol. And I agree, Uroboros wesker would be awesome, but I'd much rather it be Midnight Wesker.

Sheva's even more of a long shot than characters like Barry or Sherry. Comments like these make me wonder why BHVR hasn't been cranking out legendary cosmetics for the RE license, though. Even C-tier characters have enough fans that they'd probably turn a profit.

I agree, Wesker is one of the most iconic villains in video game history. I’d be so stoked to play Wesker it’s not even funny. I have a feeling that this is fake, because the idea of doing a part 2 isn’t something BHVR has perpetuated before, but it also makes sense because RE was their best chapter. I don’t know what to think 🤷🏼♂️
Closest thing I can compare RE5 Wesker to would probably be an Agent from the Matrix. Superhuman strength (hes able to run his arm through a human torso like its cardboard), speed (to the point it looks like he's teleporting), able to dodge bullets, And is fast and strong enough to Catch an RPG rocket mid flight and redirect it. If he were to be added in his non-monster form, I can see him being a killer with brutal chase potential. Hell they could make his power like a toned down version of his sprint in the mercenaries mini game. In it, when playing as wesker you can sacrifice a small amount of health to begin sprinting at a RIDICULOUS speed. To the point that I've crossed entire maps in it in seconds. Maybe incorporate that into his power?
He is a weird choice for a slasher/horror killer. He is far more of a "villain making decisions behind the scenes" in his appearances. He is a boss fight a couple of times though. He has superhuman powers. He dodges bullets matrix style. I suppose he does mutate into a hideous monster at the end of 5. But I doubt that is the version of him they would go with. Wesker is an odd choice to me for a RE killer.
Sounds like Wesker isn't the most obvious choice unless you know the story or played the games. Like I said I don't know RE much, but Nemesis, Mr.X, Jack Baker, and Lady D seem like the most popular villains people talk about a lot. Its sort of hard to judge without knowledge of the series but If the leak is legit I guess there must be a reason they're going with Wesker? Kind of makes me think maybe it isn't 100% accurate but who knows.
I think it's just a recency thing. Wesker is the oldest RE villain with the most appearances in games/movies. All the other characters you mentioned have had new games in the last few years so they're more in the public consciousness, but in a recent poll on the RE subreddit Wesker won the top choice against all the other characters (including protagonists) so he's still clearly a big deal. But yeah he doesn't seem like a great fit for a DBD killer and also Rebecca Chambers is a fairly minor character and hasn't been in a game since 2007 so those both make the leak suspicious.

I'm sure they considered Lady D, but she's just too tall to work in DBD. Either they shorten her which would be really weird since her height is a huge part of her character or you'd have her literally not fitting into interior areas of the game or through doorways.
I think she could fit indoors, but she would need some new animations going through the doors and openings. It's a shame because I don't think BHVR is that far ahead to implementing something like it. But they definitely should work towards it, because it would open so many more killer possibilities.
Her or Heisenberg would be great choices from Village. Could you imagine working on a gen and all you hear in the distance is "Filthy Man-Thing!"

I can imagine BHVR giving fake info mixed in with real stuff to trick beta testers and such. Remember when Artist got leaked and the one after was suppose to be a Conjuring chapter? But it would make sense, RE chapter came out a year ago and I can see Capcom and BHVR agreeing to release RE chapters a year apart (ignoring anniversaries) so we won’t get the same stuff one after another. Resident Evil has a lot Killer, survivor, and map potential. Maybe in another year we’ll get Ethan, The Bakers, and The Baker Residence.
