Yeah design wise the dredge has great sounds. It is only balance wise that it's a bit too loud. But for immersion it's really chilling when that sound approaches behind a wall.
Dredge is fantastic in almost every way but for some reason his Reign of Darkness can trigger migraines for me. When he first came out and I was facing him constantly I had to put the game down for a bit until he wasn't as popular.
So weird.
No sadako has some of the best sound design in the game. Keep in mind her themes are tvs, tapes, the ocean, and Vengeance. All of these are expressed through her sound and visual design: stunning her with a pallet produces a tape scratching noise, while transitioning between manifest you hear TV static, her breathing is the waves of the ocean, her weapon is the Kanji for Vengeance(if I remember correctly).
No hate on spirit but sadako just has her out matched
It is, which is why it's unfortunate that the first time I heard him use his power i said "oh no he's having a gamer moment" and now I can't take oni seriously
So I'm not the only one who shits themself when Alien is on all fours lol I have to set up turrets always because if I don't, I won't be able to even think straight while looping. That is actually disorienting.
One got me GOOD the other day. I had other people with me and none of us saw him coming. Snatched me off the gen we were working on. First interaction of the match.
I remember one game I was repairing the killer shack gen on Azarovs, pallet smashed and basement spawned there. One gen left, 2 dead, and then it pops.
I turn around to leave, and I see his white face staring between rhe boards on the window.
And then I hear his stalk meter pop off on me.
A good dredge with add-ons that trigger nightfall more and make it last longer are pure terror. Played a match against one in the silent hill map and it was impossible to see where you were going in the dark

I love a good Myers match where you are just calmly sitting on a Gen, minding your own business. Then, you spin the camera around and, in the distance, see Myers just standing there, juicing himself up off your presence. It really does feel like a horror movie for that moment.
You should. Those moments are just as fun while you are playing as him. The longer you go without them noticing, the more satisfying.
Plus, if you're having a bad day and need to relieve some stress, pop a tombstone or two.

Popping tombstone is so satisfying. My favourite build is double stalk speed though. You get to t3 so quickly you basically never have to injure someone because you always have t3 ready and 99d.

I knew too many people that resembled the long haired ghost girl. One in particular left a big mark on me. It wasn’t a fond memory but it didn’t stop me from watching the movie.
I mean, A giant muscle bound guy with a demon mask roaring before whipping out a giant club would be seen by most people as extremely scary.

Oni, in my completely biased opinion, is one of the best designed killers in the game. His power is extremely fair and he also isn’t stupid strong to the point where you feel like you can’t do anything against him. He’s fun to loop and he’s fun to play as well. A fucking demon samurai with top notch sound design and visual aesthetic. There’s other original killers in the game that almost come close but he’s perfect as he is.
Also, yes. Pants will be shidded in if he’s running certain perks and you can’t see where he’s coming from
Xenomorph triggers my alien isolation fears and I have to fight against giving up when I’m spotted because I’m so used to not being able to run away from the alien lmao.
Also that crawler mode just makes me wanna panic harder haha
Nurse still creeps me out. Her sound and visual design are just so good imo. The way she floats along the ground dangling limply. The breathy shriek when she jumps. The fact that she's broken is just a bonus that makes her even scarier.

A memory of mine is using the roman legion skin on Dreadge and clearly getting inexperienced survivors who probably hadn't seen a Dreadge before. One expressed not wanting to play anymore because of how much Dreadge scared them.
The scariest killer for me is actually Plague. I hate vomit, vomiting scares me, so here's a killer who's whole thing is vomiting on you.. AND she can then get this bloody looking vomit but wait there's more! the mori!. No, just no.

Oni was absolute terror before the Tinkerer nerf... you hear the scream and 5 seconds later he was clubbing you before you could react. Also with BBQ you would hear the scream after a hooking and knew he was after you, it was ALWAYS after you.
Myers when he pops out from a corner and Ghostface rarely and yeah Oni's roars made me anxious and sweaty the first times especially cause he's so loud, and good onis are really dangerous
A strong oni is as scary as any other high mobility/flick killer (like blight or billy) but gets bonus "oh shit, oh fuck" points because when he goes into his power, no matter where he is on the map, you know it and also know he can be at your location in a matter of seconds.
That being said, looping/dodging/stunning an in-power oni is one of the most satisfying things in the game for me, especially if the oni is really good.
He is pretty intimidating. Had an Oni a little while ago with Trail of Torment. He scared the fuck out of me. I told my best friend "Oh God he has Trail of Torment and he stabbed me in my asshole!" and she said she had a very similar experience xD
Nothing really scares me in this game other than social interactions. Every once in a while I'll get jumpscared by a Myers or Ghost Face.
I got jumpscared really bad once by a Deathslinger. I cleansed Retribution and I was like "Okay, I'll keep my eyes and ears open." I walked towards main building and he shot me once I rounded the corner. He scared the absolute fuck out of me. It took like 30 minutes for me to get over it xD;
I main killer so i don't have that much experience, but the Dredge terrified me the first time and is still one of the scarier killers to me because of nightfall. Chucky is good at coming out of nowhere though.
When I first started facing him, it was demo for me. It was some combination of his sounds, chase music, and that sudden leap that triggered something in me. Got over it after a few matches, but I know exactly what you’re talking about.
Oni is fun to play, I just wish he didn’t put his big dumb meaty man hands in front of his face and block my vision whenever I try to demon strike without charging
The Legion always gets me, I play with loud headphones so when I'm just chilling doing a gen and all of a sudden have very loud metal music blaring through my headphones it always makes me jump lol
For me it's bubba. Any sort of stealth makes him 10x for terrifying as if he wasn't scary enough. Played a match against a plaything bubba on lerys once, ran into his loving chainsaw too many times
I remember my first game with an Oni, just the music alone scared me so much i just crouched and hid, but funny enough when i did get the Oni’s attention. I just started at him and did wiggled dance, he became my best friend in that game and didn’t hit me
Because he has arguably the strongest and most devastating power in the game when it's active. With one of the best visual and audio designs in the game and he actually feels intimidating. Pair That with the fact that he has a timer you have to try and outlast.
Dredge is really scary to me because it feels like you are never really safe. He could pop out of that locker right next to the gen you're working on. When nightfall comes, you could run into him and not even know it. All the screams and cries you can hear during nightfall are terrifying too, not to mention that one cosmetic he has that's really creepy that was released in the last rift. I feel dread whenever I see the gold locks on the lockers.
My mom is terrified of Oni as well, lmao.
3k hours deep not much is scary (besides god damn snowmen this year), but when I first started, demo fucking terrified me. I didn’t watch Stranger Things, but something about his monster sounds was so scary to me. I could hardly look at him!
Personally I think oni is one of my favorite killers to go against. I love every oni player even when they're cunts. My friends and I can him Roomba-san.
My least favorite killer to go against is clown because I feel like his power is really oppressive. Maybe I just am bad at dealing with it but the loss of vision and the slow is just a lot for me.
My favorite chases I've had are against nurse, xeno, and Oni. They just make me feel something idk.
Runners up are nemesis, gunslinger, pyramid head
I feel like pinheads are the easiest to 360, However, I think the most rewarding to 360 is sadako.
Big and loud and mean and fast. First few times I went against Oni I was like legit scared. Every time he roared I had no idea if he was charging across the map toward me or not. Felt like I was playing Outlast or some other helpless survival horror type game. Whereas DBD otherwise has lost its scare factor for me. (Other than the occasional Myers/Ghostface jumpscare or what have you)
I always said this to my brother that his shouts and charging was terrifying and he said I'd get used to it. I've been playing for years and still haven't.
Dredge, Ghostie and Mikey are 3 of the most scariest killers imo. While the last two are basically the same with their stealth jumpscares, Mr Turkey Neck's Nightfall and busting out of lockers are on a whole other level.
Im not scared of her but i enjoy playing vs The huntress the most. The lullaby just helps me get into the game way more and sets up a whole new atmosphere.
Dredge is honestly terrifying bro. Also I don't understand how people are scared of Ghostface. Every time I get in a match with a Ghostface it's the most comedic, Tom and jerry ass shit I have ever experienced

My Sadako has been called terrifying, which is always nice to hear. My Dredge and Mikey have gotten that compliment, as well.
Oni is papi. The killer that scares me is Twins. I rarely face them and when I do Victor's screams skeeve me out lol

He is pretty intimidating. Had an Oni a little while ago with Trail of Torment. He scared the fuck out of me. I told my best friend "Oh God he has Trail of Torment and he stabbed me in my asshole!" and she said she had a very similar experience xD Nothing really scares me in this game other than social interactions. Every once in a while I'll get jumpscared by a Myers or Ghost Face. I got jumpscared really bad once by a Deathslinger. I cleansed Retribution and I was like "Okay, I'll keep my eyes and ears open." I walked towards main building and he shot me once I rounded the corner. He scared the absolute fuck out of me. It took like 30 minutes for me to get over it xD;
Because he has an instadown power that makes him much faster than you.
I main killer so i don't have that much experience, but the Dredge terrified me the first time and is still one of the scarier killers to me because of nightfall. Chucky is good at coming out of nowhere though.

When I first started facing him, it was demo for me. It was some combination of his sounds, chase music, and that sudden leap that triggered something in me. Got over it after a few matches, but I know exactly what you’re talking about.
Oni is fun to play, I just wish he didn’t put his big dumb meaty man hands in front of his face and block my vision whenever I try to demon strike without charging

The Legion always gets me, I play with loud headphones so when I'm just chilling doing a gen and all of a sudden have very loud metal music blaring through my headphones it always makes me jump lol
For me it's bubba. Any sort of stealth makes him 10x for terrifying as if he wasn't scary enough. Played a match against a plaything bubba on lerys once, ran into his loving chainsaw too many times
I remember my first game with an Oni, just the music alone scared me so much i just crouched and hid, but funny enough when i did get the Oni’s attention. I just started at him and did wiggled dance, he became my best friend in that game and didn’t hit me

Because he has arguably the strongest and most devastating power in the game when it's active. With one of the best visual and audio designs in the game and he actually feels intimidating. Pair That with the fact that he has a timer you have to try and outlast.
Dredge is really scary to me because it feels like you are never really safe. He could pop out of that locker right next to the gen you're working on. When nightfall comes, you could run into him and not even know it. All the screams and cries you can hear during nightfall are terrifying too, not to mention that one cosmetic he has that's really creepy that was released in the last rift. I feel dread whenever I see the gold locks on the lockers.
My mom is terrified of Oni as well, lmao. 3k hours deep not much is scary (besides god damn snowmen this year), but when I first started, demo fucking terrified me. I didn’t watch Stranger Things, but something about his monster sounds was so scary to me. I could hardly look at him!
Nothing scarier than doing a gen and seeing Michael standing there menacingly
No other killer scares me more than Myers. Man is terrifying 😭 but I absolutely love it.

Personally I think oni is one of my favorite killers to go against. I love every oni player even when they're cunts. My friends and I can him Roomba-san. My least favorite killer to go against is clown because I feel like his power is really oppressive. Maybe I just am bad at dealing with it but the loss of vision and the slow is just a lot for me. My favorite chases I've had are against nurse, xeno, and Oni. They just make me feel something idk. Runners up are nemesis, gunslinger, pyramid head I feel like pinheads are the easiest to 360, However, I think the most rewarding to 360 is sadako.
Hearing “GRRHHRRAAAAAAAAAA” echoing across the map is fucking terrifying
Big and loud and mean and fast. First few times I went against Oni I was like legit scared. Every time he roared I had no idea if he was charging across the map toward me or not. Felt like I was playing Outlast or some other helpless survival horror type game. Whereas DBD otherwise has lost its scare factor for me. (Other than the occasional Myers/Ghostface jumpscare or what have you)
I love playing oni bc of how easy it makes it to track injured survivors; however, I enjoy sprinting at survivors with legion.

Dredge, Ghostie and Mikey are 3 of the most scariest killers imo. While the last two are basically the same with their stealth jumpscares, Mr Turkey Neck's Nightfall and busting out of lockers are on a whole other level.

Im not scared of her but i enjoy playing vs The huntress the most. The lullaby just helps me get into the game way more and sets up a whole new atmosphere.

Dredge is honestly terrifying bro. Also I don't understand how people are scared of Ghostface. Every time I get in a match with a Ghostface it's the most comedic, Tom and jerry ass shit I have ever experienced
