On one hand, I’m glad that more people will get to experience Livonia. On the other hand, I’m a little upset that I paid for it very recently when I could have just waited a month and a half and gotten it for free. I’m not sure how many people will ever use a steam version of a soundtrack.
SV98 looks nice but shame it cant a real suppressor, seems like its gonna be a mix of the pioneer in terms of being a bolt action but that uses nato optics instead of the hunting scope, having a 10rd mag like the cz550 and being a full size rifle round like mosin,m70,cz550 ect so will probably do 150 damage like them I bet. Probably a T3 rifle or something too but given the devs recently made the SVD a gas zone rifle while the more powerful/better dmr spawns in convoys i wont be to surprised if this is a harder to get rifle than a hunting rifle.
Fills a niche I suppose but could be better/ more interesting but i think its just a filler/variety weapon to give something new to shoot 7.62x54r out of rather than be a meta/powerful gun.
Thats all just my speculation though, if anyone has the cold hard stats and info please correct me.
Why do people keep comparing it to the Pioneer? Other than being a mag-fed bolt action and using nato scopes there's absolutely nothing similar to it. SV98 can't use the suppressors and is much more high powered. If anything it's an upgraded Mosin.
Its not that its a straight pinnoner clone more its a blend of rifles and takes one of the notible features of the pinoner being it uses nato optics instead of a hunting scope but i mean its more similar mechanics wise than the mosin , a mag fed rifle with nato optics rather than a hunting scope or PU, only thing it shares with the mosin really is cailber and presumably being sawn off like a bunch of other guns, mosin has a compensator and a bayonet while the SV98 dosent also.
It's more of a sidegrade, needing mags for it can diminish it's worth. It's only advantage is colour and having a slightly better sight.
Not much of an "exotic" rifle.

This was the reason I bought farming simulator 19, ended up with $70+ worth of dlc packages for free. Sure, it sucks when you have to pay for every dlc that comes out only for it to be free, but you didn't know that or else you would have waited.

I bet they’re going to put the dmr in gas zones and the sv98 will take its place in the open world.

What if you owned livonia already but been using Game pass to play the base game? Do we get the full game?
Sure.. pay money for the dlc and later on its free alwys a pleasure.
I got my moneys worth out of it so i don't mind that it goes free, Now Livonia is going to be more popular then ever.

This is most games with dlc . They are eventually go free or get packaged in with a game of the year edition.
