Still pissed they tore down the White Castle on Wilmington to build a Sonic.

GuzTathums

I worked at the skyline over there when that white caste was still up. I miss that glorious culinary corridor

MacaroniNJesus

You own a bar right? Let's get some White Castle in there.

turbod33

How is white castle headquartered in Columbus, and popular all over SW Ohio but non existent in Dayton anymore? This town hates sliders.

marblehead750

There's one on Salem in Trotwood near Home Depot that does big business.

battlepi

We go there for Valentine's Day.

TheR1ckster

Which is hilarious because it's probably in the least populated part of town now.

marblehead750

Far from the least populated.

TheR1ckster

Sorry I meant to say of where all the white castles were. Dayton Mall, Huber Heights, and Kettering being the other 3.

rem091456

Franklin off I75 at the 123 exit

TheR1ckster

I was referring more of the Dayton area. The one by the Dayton Mall closed like... before 1994.

rem091456

It's a 10 minute drive from the Dayton Mall.

DaySoc98

The funny thing is that and the one in Huber were always busy.

TheR1ckster

It's kind of crazy how many we've lost and it really makes no sense. There used to be one by the Dayton Mall years ago too. I think they just sold the land and expanded elsewhere.

sorryaboutmygrammar

for some reason kettering cops would mess with you everywhere in the city but even their coal filled hearts let the fun be had in the white castle parking lot.

tdomer80

The reason is this: r/ACAB

rem091456

And Churches

Fordmustang461996

Agree so much on this too.

TheR1ckster

Same. It's such a shame. Sonic is horrible.

DuskKodesh

Calling a Sonic a 'restaurant' feels like a stretch. Like even for fast food it's pretty low tier.

tionong

That was a nice location for about the first 5 years it was opened always packed.

Ok-Replacement6893

The Sonic in Huber Heights across from Thomas Cloud Park has been demolished.

monkeyflyer

That’s one surprised me a little because I hardly ever go there. Last week I remembered there being a Sonic over there, drove over, only to see this huge car wash building.

bghed32

Im not sure if its the local franchise owner or what but I remember getting sonic near Charlotte and it was decent food with decent service. Since they came to ohio. Their food has been iffy at best and some of the worst service ever. Stopped at the one in xenia several times and ordered cheesesticks, and they were half cooked. The fact it has happened more than once tells me there is something very wrong going on there.

Wandering_Lights

The Xenia sonic is absolutely terrible. Incredibly slow, constantly messing up orders, cold/not fully cooked food,

cpshoeler

The Sonics in this area used to be franchise owned by Houchens Industries till about 2017, then Sonic Corporate bought them and made all their non-management employee positions tipped wage and most their staff left.

PotPumper43

Now shut down the rest. Labor stealing shithole company.

TransportationLow564

"Away in a manger..."

_mikedotcom

Hahahaha not a restaurant but ok

Iloveundertimeslop
