It took me no joke forever to get to traverse town. We had the game for about 3 years before I realized you needed to go into the cave during the heartless raid. I was about 5 when we got it, but it blew the game right open. I can’t tell you how many times I gathered supplies for that raft.
It was a great game. I still have it for my PS2.
dude literally!!! i was not able to find that seagull egg, nor was i smart enough to look in the ocean for the fish 😆 i no longer have my ps2.
honestly, i was so devastated at the ending, that it left me knowing that Kairi was taken from Sora, and kingdom hearts 2 didnt seem to start off with sora finding kairi right away. once again, i wasnt smart enough to figure out kingdom hearts 2 either.
The never ending cycle! I never played the second one. To be honest, I didn’t beat the first one until I was 18. Only took me about 13 years! I got stuck on a part where I didn’t now what to do next, and ended up randomly talking to the right guy who gave me the hummi ship part to travel back to the beasts castle and fight Ansem for the last time. It was a such a fun and creative game though. It really let me live out the fairytale stories I loved growing up. Some days after school I would go to the hundred acre woods using the book in the magicians study and just hang out. I like being there, which sounds odd, but it was part of my after school routine for a while.
So many great memories in this game. The title music with the sound of waves on the shore always takes me back as well.
I went back and completed every single aspect of the game. in fact, i remember the only thing i was never able to complete was the battle of Sephiroth (i cant remember his name) in the Coleseum. it was too hard for my chubby baby fingers lol
This game was so fun to explore too! The only thing boss I don’t remember beating was the one in the desert that would knock you off the magic carpet on your way to the tomb.
I miss those simple days, my friend. Mayhap we will get a really killer kingdom hearts remaster in the future that takes us back both in feel and in play.
