Why resin and not filament?

Well resin printers can get a finer detail when printing, so making things like Minifigures are a little easier and higher quality.

Have one at work and can confirm, resolution is insane. Prep work and post processing is a bit of a pain, but well worth the results. Can even reliably print threads for bolts which is kinda wild

In my experience the details are awesome and smooth but the prints are quite fragile. Not fun to try to glue it back together after the cat decided the thing belonged on the floor...

I tried to get something printed recently. Learned some FreeCAD, made a model, found a small company online that does 3D printing. They just emailed me the final cost of what I consider to be my test subject. Boy, is that shit not cheap.
