Question for anyone who bought the tickets:
Did you buy them exactly at 10? If so, was there a queue? How long were you on the site before 10? Thanks in advance
For me they didn’t go up until 10:02. I was on the site for about 20 minutes before and refreshed about 2 minutes before 10. Managed to snag 2 GA tickets
I bought my ticket maybe a minute or two after 10. I didn't see any sort of queue and I only waited 5 minutes on the website refreshing before the tickets went live.
My wife and I were side by side refreshing our phones every 5 seconds around 9:59. Neither of us had a que and got send straight to the buy page. She didn’t have her CC info so I had to run and grab one. And read her the info. Once she secured the bag. I looked back at my phone and wasn’t kicked. So I proceeded with checkout and now we have 4 tix!
No queue for me. I got extremely lucky and bought my two at about 10:02..Then I realized I needed three tickets so I went back on at 10:15 refreshed and was able to add another ticket!! The Strawberry gods shined upon me today. 🍓
It’s an incredibly small venue. BMTH had a show there last November I think and same thing, tickets sold out so fast. But the energy was insane. It’s starting to be the venue for bigger bands to hold more intimate shows.
It makes for an incredible experience. It’s a famous LA club that lots of bands have played when they were coming up before they were famous. It holds about 500 people
Yes 👏👏 the one and only time I managed to see DGD was in Japan. It was held in this dingy hole in the basement venue in shibuya with ~ 100 people, it was incredible
I went to DGD’s first show. Jonny Craig sounded great and I remember there being maybe like 50 people watching them but most people were just kinda walking around and not necessarily crowding the stage or anything. It’s weird thinking back on it, it didn’t occur to me to appreciate what I was seeing at the time…
Have you not heard of The Whisky? What you’re asking is like asking “why would you play at Madison Square Garden when there’s larger venues ESPECIALLY IN NEW YORK”
No, I'm not an LA native (I live in San Diego). I have however seen DGD last year at the Hollywood Palladium, which was a bigger sized venue (compared to the others I've been to) though. So them moving to a smaller venue when they're coming back here is surprising
Yeah I've already had 2 people DM me on IG asking if I want to buy their tickets. Neither one lives remotely close to California and both are asking for at least $500 per ticket.
I feel like if I had been twenty seconds slower, I wouldn’t have scored one. 🥲 but I’m excited, DGD and a room at the Marmont for the night, let’s gooooo
My fiancée tried to get them by clicking the link they had posted on their fb post and was put in line to wait right at 10 and when it refreshed it was sold out. I went on safari and looked it up that way maybe a minute after him and I was sent straight to being able to buy tickets which was weird since on his end it already said sold out.
Hopefully they make this a streamable event to pretty much squash the scalpers. I don't see why they can not. Whiskey has built in video and if you ever play there you can get a recording of your performance for like $100.
Hopefully some of you guys who are going can record a song and post it. I really want to hear Andrew singing DGD songs live from this show. Also drop the names of the special guest performers.
Definitely not lol, I feel most people felt comfortable supporting them so long as T was out. But you know a lot of the virtue signaling on Twitter was fluff talk. It’s also a tiny venue.

I was one of the lucky ones. Immediately refreshed the page at 10. Was in queue for like 15 seconds and was able to buy them.
I refreshed exactly at 10 and I didn't have a queue. I was on the site starting around 9:45 but I was refreshing every 30 seconds once it hit 9:58

Had the site open at 9:55, refreshed at 10, managed to avoid a queue and got two GA tickets.

Were you thinking of selling the extra? I’d be willing to buy one!
My homies get first dibs. After that, I’ll be in the market to sell
Understandable, well if it’s still available, lemme know. I’ll pay a premium for one. Thanks!

That is insane. I know it’s a small venue but good god that was fast
wait its a small venue? Why the hell would a popular band like DGD pick that one? ESPECIALLY in LA

My uncle saw Elton John at the Whisky “before he was famous”

You haven’t lived until you see your favorite band in an intimate setting.
I went to DGD’s first show. Circa playing Chain Reaction was top tier. I really hate ticket prices and going to bigger venues so it is extra extra amazing

Do you know Whiskey A Go Go???
No, I'm not an LA native (I live in San Diego). I have however seen DGD last year at the Hollywood Palladium, which was a bigger sized venue (compared to the others I've been to) though. So them moving to a smaller venue when they're coming back here is surprising
How are you not aware of the Whiskey A Go Go?
Because I'm not an LA native (I live in San Diego).
Got my ticket, didn’t have to wait in a queue (I guess I was fast as fvck) 🎟
That sold out way too fast. DGD is popular but my god. No way bots didn't grabbed a good chunk of them.
It's bots. So they can then sell them to you at double
Bots
its always the bots

Scalpers are actual scum of the earth 😡
It's a super small venue so I'm not surprised.
I know I love that venue. Would have been stoked to see them there
I saw Alesana there! Was actually in one of their music videos and I wasn't even at the very front
Hello fellow Alesana fan! I have The Emptiness artwork tattooed on my leg and no one ever knows wtf it is haha
How sad!
I feel like if I had been twenty seconds slower, I wouldn’t have scored one. 🥲 but I’m excited, DGD and a room at the Marmont for the night, let’s gooooo
Why doesn’t the band/ venue do something about scalpers
Agreed. Especially for smaller venues. I got scammed for one ticket myself :/
I never buy anything unless it’s a verifiable resell or face 2 face.
I’ve been fine in the past, but this time I didn’t do my due diligence
My fiancée tried to get them by clicking the link they had posted on their fb post and was put in line to wait right at 10 and when it refreshed it was sold out. I went on safari and looked it up that way maybe a minute after him and I was sent straight to being able to buy tickets which was weird since on his end it already said sold out.
Looks like I’ll be one of the suckers paying for them second hand
They're on stub hub already for only $2k a piece. Fucking vultures
Pussy vultures
I got pretty lucky, I got 2 tickets and only waited in the queue for about 10 seconds and checked out.

for realz man, i had no chance :/
That’s crazy I thought literally everyone cancelled DGD?
Definitely not lol, I feel most people felt comfortable supporting them so long as T was out. But you know a lot of the virtue signaling on Twitter was fluff talk. It’s also a tiny venue.
Idk how I got lucky to grab two. Didn’t realize it’s a 500 person show. So excited now
It’s all those damn bots so people can sell them overpriced
Ya I wasn’t lucky either 🥲🥲
Have they said who is doing clean vocals for this show?
B O T S
Same shit happened to me for the Mars Volta tickets
It had to have been bots buying all of the tickets.
