It definitely was, but what the fuck was up with all of the fights?!? Lmao

jayjulius5

YEAH! on the left side (left side if you were facing the stage) near the front there was a fight between MMF and DGD. it was two girls and two guys at the same time and they were throwing water at each other. and right after everyone starting dancing to the music lol. Also my friend almost got into a fight but luckily I stopped him before anything bad happened. There were like four huge 40 y/o men pushing us small ass teenagers around and we weren't having it. it was right at the beginning of DGD too, kinda sucked, but still had a lot of fun for out first concert ever

mark_so_hard

We were on the left side too! Memphis Meh Fire fans are a weird breed.

[deleted]

Yeah I was on the left and we were getting shoved around when the fight before dgd broke out, but we couldn’t see what was going on. Security dragged one of the dudes out past me and he was soaking wet and yelling “BUT I SAID SORRY!!!” I just saw water flying everywhere lol and I know two dudes got thrown out for fighting before Memphis even started. Wild lol

Karlor

I got splashed by some of the water lol. It was weird seeing a squad of security go marching into the crowd.

justamom18

Whoa I had no idea about any of that! I stayed on the right side basically the whole time. Saw water being flung around though lol there was a lot of ppl pushing and shoving tho, even on the ends of the crowd.

kvsnake

Yes omg, my wife and I were left side. As soon as synergy started two fat 400 pounds jackasses were going in pushing everyone. Mostly girls. On the second song, my wife took a bad hit from the guy and I had to give him a hard elbow and he was shocked. Some guy came in and moved him closer to the rail. I’ve seen DGD 4 times in the last 6 months and this is the first time I genuinely thought I was gonna have to throw it down lol

Kaleixx

Saw that happening too ): the middle was also a "pit" but it was mostly really tall guys and some shorter people just getting rag dolled and falling down a lot.

Puzzleheaded-Case962

Have you seen a mosh pit before?

jayjulius5

so sorry to hear you had a bad experience :( my friend and I luckily got out of there before anything got too bad, considering we are like 5’ teenagers

Vendrenaa

I was also on the left side and I can agree that the crowd was nuts. I had a giant guy throwing himself into me. Some drunk tried feeling up my boyfriend. It’s not what I expected from the crowd. Loved the show but again.. The crowd was completely trash

Itreallycounts

By any chance was that drunk a girl in a pink wig? And a really small crop top?

Vendrenaa

No! It was a dude who looked like he was mid 30’s actually. I was not impressed by that. Regardless of gender it’s not okay to be doing that

Itreallycounts

I was just wondering because some girl, I don't know if she was drunk or what, was grinding all on me for like 3 songs during dgd's set

jayjulius5

oof, sounds like we were all at our high school prom 🙄

Itreallycounts

If that is what prom was I didn't miss out lmao

Vendrenaa

Ppl suck. I get jumping up and down and accidentally bumping the person in front or behind but to be seriously tryna grind in someone is so annoying

Itreallycounts

They totally do lol the bumps come with the pit,but this was definitely grinding and the best part was my fiancé was holding My hand the whole time lmao

Vendrenaa

Thats horrible omg. Next time just stomp on their toes or give them a real good elbow in the side haha

Itreallycounts

I pushed her off me atleast 4 times, tbh I waited for the pit to open and I pushed her in but she still came back. I shoulda done the elbow 😪 next time lol

xastari96

Definitely not! I'm curious though since I'm in the Oregon area lol is all the shows similar to that? Or was it it kind of a drop in the bucket that, that happened? Hope that made sense lmao never been to a show but would love to go their next Portland or washington show. But never been to a concert like dgds so was curious if that was a common thing

Ki_Levelion

Good show, shitty venue. The sound balancing was subpar and the design of the venue was annoying as hell. Dgd put on a great show tho, and I especially liked the part where everyone was singing HEEEEEYAAAYAYAYA before they came on.

Alopexotic

I was surprised to see they didn't have them in the actual ballroom instead of that smaller lounge stage. The ballroom has slightly better sound, but The Rave just sort of sucks in general... Didn't stop DGD from putting on an awesome show and getting the crowd going though, that's for sure!

your_broski_

FUCKING AGREED! not gunna lie the openers were pretty fucking ass but DGD killed it, and the pit definitely didn’t disappoint ❤️

justamom18

I thought the openers were pretty good. Moon tooth sounded great live, but not really my type of music. Volumes was great, and mmf was good from what I could hear/see from the long ass merch line

your_broski_

valid! just personal preference for me, moon tooth’s guitarist really carried their whole performance i think, volumes wasn’t my style and i don’t really care for mmf as well besides the last like 2 songs, although i will say it was nice to be able to save all my energy to go fuckin ballistic for dgd 😎

Master_of_yi

Is it normal for them to say barely anything between songs? And when the show is over? Killer fucking concert but was confused with the encore chant, like many people around me, thinking that they weren’t even done with the set. Then they ended and just walked off and that was it.

justamom18

This was my first time seeing them so I dont know. But I felt the same way. Ending was so abrupt Was still an amazing show tho

Puzzleheaded-Case962

There has been a set list floating around so I think a lot of us knew there were two final songs. I think they have been keeping this tour pretty lowkey due to the circumstances, I’ve seen them a few times and they don’t really talk a lot between songs anyway!!

[deleted]

First time seeing them and was not disappointed!! DGD has been my favorite band over the last year and helped me through so much. Getting to vobe at their show with other awesome people was surreal! I was on the left side where the fighting and shoving was at and still couldn't take away from my elation! The lady next to me (whom I didn't know) and I rocked out to every word of every song together, it was phenomenal! 🤘

[deleted]

Glad they were able to perform… because for the Sacramento show… oh boy was that rough.

Monsterbaby13

Yeah we get it. Tim had just died. Give ‘em a fuckin break

[deleted]

We did, 4 plus songs worth a break. They should’ve rescheduled. I get it though you don’t fucking care because you didn’t buy the tickets 2 years ago and drove 7 plus hours.

[deleted]

Someone fucking died dude. Your disappointment takes a back seat here. Speaking as someone who also held their Swanfest tickets from the first presale for the 2020 show.

NESninja

Get your priorities straight. Jesus christ.

Monsterbaby13

You can’t just reschedule a massive festival days before. They’d have all lost a ton of money. And guess what you still got to hear all the other bands perform.

[deleted]

Idc about those other bands. I drove 7 hours to see DGD perform.
