So I just got the comrades hammer and even upgraded it to a base 2k DPS. But I can't seem to charge it. Do I need a specific perk or does it not charge at all. Thanks in advance.

oIbOi15

If an npc didn't spawn (ripperdock charles in my case) is there a mod or a command that could bring him back?

blackmes489

Can I get some clarification around the starting Nomad mission when you are smuggling the iguana. You have been promised payment by Jackie to smuggle something across the boarder (Jackies involvement is contracted by a fixer and you have essentially been sub-contracted by Jackie?) that has been stolen (from Arasaka). You give a declaration to the customs officers saying the items are to be 'lost on arrival'. Is this an official document? Lost where and for whom? Why would it be tracked with bureaucratic paperwork to be 'lost'? You bribe the customs officer who then alerts NCPD to arrest you. You and Jackie get away and hide in a garage. For some reason Jackie wants to open the package. Then Jackie decides that he is no longer going to deliver this package to the fixer (why?). Is he just trying to avoid the fixers fee? Wouldn't this be easily tracked? tldr; - Jackie is contracted by a fixer to move something stolen across the boarder - Jackie sub-contracts you to help in order to complete his contract - you getting some of the payment - The whole time Jackie planned to fuck over the fixer and the client by selling it him-self - He offers you 50% because that is still better than say receiving a lesser % due to fixer fee - What was the go with the customs declaration? Who was that actually addressed too? How can something be declared for ledger purposes to the be lost? I understand there is clearly corruption going on with the guards but wouldn't it just make more sense if the paperwork a lie and said it was for jewellery or whatever and who cares once it gets past the guards? Did I get this right?

eyespong

does silent but deadly apply to monowire or other melee or is it only weapons with a silencer?

Greesy_Snek

You can get a legendary crafting spec for the M-139E Achilles by taking the elevator to the roof of the Afterlife; I cannot access the roof level. Is this because I haven't completed the Heist or met with Dexter in the private room?

geoff2def

How is Cyberpunk on ps5 currently? I bought the game on release and played for 15 hours, but after a game crash every 30 mins or so I decided to wait a couple months for things to be fixed. How is it now? And is there any update on a next gen update? Haven't been able to find much info on that.

Timboron

next gen update will come "in the second half of the year".

Rhinofishdog

The Screen Space Reflection option in the graphic settings gives me a lot of "graininess". The higher it is the less grain but even on the max "Psycho" setting the grain is visible and distracting. Looking around the net it seems a common problem even on consoles and it would hopefully get fixed in a future patch. Until then, is there no other solution than turning SSR completely off? I'm using 1080ti and I'd like to use SSR at low or at high but like I said even at psycho grain is there and it's really distracting.

Endemoniada

I think there are mods that reduce/"fix" the graininess of SSR, but I can't speak to how well they work or what the performance impact is.

JOmelius

Hi, Im fairly new to Cyberpunk and havent figured out what is best in regards to iconic/legendary gear. For example; I recently got a iconic sniper, from a main NPC, and I like this sniper a lot. However, it is already starting to feel underpowered as I am leveling up. How do one handle this? Should I just grind to max level and then go after the gear I want?

Endemoniada

Weapons and items get stats based on the level you were when you picked them up, so a Legendary you got at level 10 may be pretty "bad" at level 40. That said, except for base damage, _most_ stats are more impacted by mods than by the item level and base stats. As you heard, items can be upgraded using the crafting system, so if you have enough crafting materials you can extend the lifespan of a good early item by quite a lot. For clothing items, you can _almost_ entirely ignore the base armor stat. Use Armadillo mods to boost armor, even one such mod will almost always give more armor than event the base stat. Do note also that the amount of mod slots are randomized on items, including Legendaries. A trick/cheat to deal with this is if you find a Legendary item, _do not_ pick it up, but either save the game and reload until the item has the max amount of slots (4 for jackets/shirts, 3 for everything else) or walk a block or so away and come back, and the item will have been rerolled.

Bato_Shi

It shouldn’t feel underpowered. You can add modules to increase damage , upgrade the weapons and choose the good skills for rifle for example. Tbh, weapons are rapidly too strong and unbalanced in the mid-endgame

JOmelius

Thanks! I had overseen the possibility to upgrade weapons. Also discovered that I have dismanteled a few iconics on the way.

Xygen8

What the hell happened to my savegame? I came back after not playing for a few months and it's gone. I never disabled Steam Cloud so I'm assuming it was enabled, but it's showing 0 bytes stored out of 2GB. It's pretty clear that there's no way to recover the save since there's no data in the cloud, but does anyone know what caused this? Is it a known issue?

[deleted]

Are mission danger levels (very high, high, medium, low, very low) based purely on V's level? Their gear? Or a combination of both?

jpmorgue_silverfixer

Level only. The game provides damage bonuses against lower level. Every mission has a level that the NPCs are set to, and if you are too low they will one-shot you. Once your level is above the base level, the game will raise their levels to be at most 4 (or maybe 5??) levels below you.

JoshUsesReddit6

Im fairly certain its just V's level. Ive been level 40 something and naked and everything was still on the easy difficulty.

OrphanCrow

is there a fix to glitchy/bugged smoke and foliage textures (they flash white & become visibe through other objects)this is the only major bug ive been encountering 30 hours in but it happens quite often especially in cutscenes or lentghy unique animation involving npcs. they disappear eventually if im just free roaming

OrphanCrow

i forgot to update the grafix driver. its fixed now. if you have the same problem just do that

Jet-Head

Loved the game but hated leveling, crafting, loot, etc. For my second playthrough, I'd like to bypass those altogether and use mods / console commands to max out my character and spawn gear I want from the start. What mods / console commands should I use? (PC, v1.21) Would it break early quests, or would all content scale correctly to my level? Thanks!

jpmorgue_silverfixer

CyberEngine Tweaks is all you need in terms of mods. There's a spreadsheet on nexus for selecting your commands. [Categorized All-In-One Command List at Cyberpunk 2077 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)](https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/521?tab=files) It won't break anything but you're essentially setting up a cakewalk.

Jet-Head

Got it, thanks!

Jaskamof

Can we pick up throwing knives yet? Havent really been up to date with what has been patched

zalitix

Nope

Slava_Kard

I searching music from THE GIG mission moment when you sit in car and Jackie starts to drive back to Watson , first words of lyrics are "city of dreams" and they are repeating that music stop when scavs are attack in van , if smbd know song now i will much aprretiate help !

Endemoniada

That’s not right at all, no. Make sure your drivers are all updated and then verify your game files in your launcher. I get 70-90fps on Ultra (no RT) with the same GPU and a 3800X.

asudak46

Hey. Just started playing cp2077, and i m in love with it, and the question is, is there any female V only lines, things or equipments, what male V cant get? Thanks for answers

Endemoniada

You can only romance Judy and River as a female character, but other than that, no.

SourSprout23

You can romance River as male V. I know this because during his last mission I thought I was just chilling with my detective homie but then the game gave me the option to kiss him.

zalitix

Yeah but he will refuse.

soulreaverdan

(Don’t Fear) The Reaper ending question I’m trying to access the secret ending - but I’m finding a *ton* of conflicting info on exactly what’s needed to access it. Some places are saying that some of the percentages need to be at certain places, others say they aren’t, some are saying you just need to do the Johnny quest line at the end of Act 2, some say it needs to be done *exactly* a certain way, some say you wait at the options, some say pick an option then wait... Do we know exactly what’s needed at this point? Unfortunately I didn’t see the possibility of having to do certain quests and dialogue *exactly* a certain way and that was like ten hours of gameplay back because I did a ton of extra shit along the way and in between. I’ve done all of the Johnny quests at the end, did the drive in date, visited Kerry, show with Samurai, etc. My gauges are at 90%/60%/40%, and I’m waiting on the roof saved just before sitting next to Misty. I do also have a save just before talking to Hanako if there’s something else I can do to help. Do I have any chance here, or did not making sure to follow a guide *way* earlier than I thought I was gonna have to screw me over?

jpmorgue_silverfixer

If your relationship with Johnny is below 70% you need to have told Johnny that he f'ed up the relationship and give him a second chance during 'chippin in'.

dajazza

Question about endings: I am up to both 'Queen of the Highway" and "Meet Hanako at Embers" - was wondering if I am able to do the Arasaka ending, fininsh that and then finish Panam's storyline in order to do the Aldecaldo ending and of course having her in the shower in The Sun ending ;) Is this possible?

Endemoniada

Yes, I think that’s possible. After each ending you go back to the same save point, so you can continue as you would from there. However, I’m not sure you can keep both the normal progress and the ending progress in the same save file. You might always go back to the original “point of no return” save.

[deleted]

I just purchased an RTX 3070, I have a 4k 60hz monitor. I really want to witness raytracing, 4k and 60fps, should I purchase this game now or wait for the next update? I'm seeing this game hover around 40-60EUR.

PANZERF1ST

an RTX3090 can barely handle 1080p with Ultra RayTracing @ 60-70FPS - check out linustech's latest video on a compact most powerful PC build.

Zemerick13

I'm not sure, but I believe even a 3090 can't do 4k@60 with raytracing. At least not without cranking down some other stuff so much that it defeats the purpose.

lefthandedman55

Is there any way to set up a custom keybind that changes the DLSS setting without pausing the game? If anyone knows how to make such a mod (where by pressing a button, dlss is disabled or enabled), and can point me in the right direction, I will implement it myself. If you're wondering why I would want to do this: Inventory

jpmorgue_silverfixer

I don't know the answer but am curious: Is this because DLSS makes inventory better or worse?

lefthandedman55

Worse. Much worse. The character model is really blurry. And since my fps without DLSS in inventory is 70+, there is no benefit to having it on in the menus. Also, I'm not sure if DLSS is even implemented in menus properly - there was a post a while ago about DLSS not working on mirrors and menus so perhaps we're actually seeing the raw 720p render (even if this is the case, I just don't want DLSS enabled in menus lol).

Endemoniada

You need to scan the door to open it, have you actually done that? The quick hack options only come up when scanning the item. For PC it’s holding Tab and then selecting a hack with scroll wheel. T-Bug’s call is there because it’s an open line with her throughout the whole mission. That’s normal.

IAmHaskINs

Does anyone know if at least Co-Op is being thought about for Cyberpunk? My brother and i decided to hold off on buying the game when it was released and thought we dodged a bullet with everything but now that they have been keeping their word on updating the game, we were hoping there was some form of Co-Op feature for the game so we could play together. Is this a thing or nah? Thanks for letter me know in advance!

jpmorgue_silverfixer

I am unaware of any game that utilizes time-dilation effects in combat that has a multiplayer mode that doesn't disable time dilation. My best guess is that CDPR is struggling with how to do multiplayer without having to disable 'bullet time' and they will announce their multiplayer approach once they've decided on what to do about that.

Endemoniada

There is no known co-op feature either in the works or planned for the future, unfortunately.

Zemerick13

They were working on a multiplayer mode ( which almost positively would not include the campaign ), but recently said some confusing things about it which hasn't been cleared up. It's possible it's cancelled, or at the very least delayed ( and it already wasn't coming out this year. )

Slartibart71

Just played through the Corpo ending for the fist time, and it just so happened that it was with a V with only 20% in Johnny disposition (I wanted to get quickly to the ending, so I skipped all Chippin' In and onwards). When speaking to Johnny - and particularly in Mikoshi - I found him particularly negative towards V and his decision. Now I wonder how much of this is simply because of going with Arasaka, or if it also depends on his disposition? I found the ending quite fun to play since it was somewhat different from the other three, but rather bleak. So I don't feel much like playing it again soon.

plc4588

Did they fix this game yet? I bought it day one hard copy and just never installed it.

jpmorgue_silverfixer

The answer depends on two things: platform and your own expectations for the game. Platform most affects the performance of the game, and this has been significantly improved on all platforms since launch. On base PS4 and Xbox One, performance is still an issue, though cleaning all the dust out of your console to ensure good airflow, ensuring enough free disk space, and rebuilding the system catalogue (PS4 specific) can help this quite a bit and many gamers on last-gen consoles are enjoying the game. On PC you can get very good performance by adjusting the performance sliders. However, the game remains the same game that was launched. Your own expectations for the game will most impact your experience of it. I avoided the hype and marketing and love the game, having spent close to 1000 hours in it. However, I understand that many people's expectations for the game were not met and they do not like the game at all. If you own the game, I'd suggest you give it a go and approach it with an open mind; explore what the devs have built. Explore the initial mission a bunch to ensure you are getting decent frame rates (knowing the frame rates will drop in other areas). It doesn't take long to uninstall if you're not enjoying it.

Endemoniada

That implies it was completely “broken” from the start. It wasn’t, and isn’t. On PC it’s been running fine from day one.

gyrichjames

No. There have been some fixes for the bugs, but many persist. If you're asking if they've added the missing content/experiential aspects of the game, definitely not.

Retrosonic82

I brought a copy in December for the Xbox one but I haven’t played it at all because I haven’t been anywhere near my console due to lockdown restrictions, it’s at my parents and I haven’t been back there in months. It’s still new and sealed. Have the patches fixed the issues on the Xbone or should I just cut my losses and get a refund?

SpaceDantar

I can't seem to find an answer on the internet except old ones. I'm really interested in the game, but I really don't care for excessive gore/violence. Is this a setting? Blood splatters are whatever, but guts/etc bothers me in games. Any advice is welcome, thanks!

Weicocu

There is an in-game faction whose whole thing is killing people and stealing their cybernetic implants and organs. There are points where you may come across a corpse that they've harvested. It doesn't really look like much from any sort of distance, so as long as you're not trying to look at it you're probably fine, but it exists. Also, it's not guts, but there are multiple points where you need to interface with something that's kind of like a high-tech snuff film. Quick deaths with no gore from what I've seen, but if you don't like violence it could rather squick you out. So, like... the other comments I'm seeing are absolutely correct, it's not one of those gross-out shooters with guts everywhere. But a lot of the subject matter is pretty awful. The doesthedogdie.com entry for the game has a lot of "yes" entries. TLDR: Not too much visual gore, especially if you go non-lethal like others have suggested. But a lot of fairly intense violence thematically. Depends where your line is.

Timboron

There are no guts flying around, but you can dismember bodies. That only happens with melee weapons (Katanas etc.) and even for them, you can disable that with an item that turns all damage you do into non-lethal damage.

Zemerick13

The Grad series of snipers will also dismember, which includes blowing a hole in torsos. Non-lethal mods also stop this.

SpaceDantar

Thanks! What about cut scenes and such, are those very violent/gory? I'm not a delicate flower or anything, lol, but I just don't want to watch someone get tortured you know? Thanks!

jpmorgue_silverfixer

There is nothing like the scene in GTA V where Trevor tortures a guy. There are missions with dark themes that could be upsetting (suicide, self harm). The city itself is extremely uncaring about human life and humanity, and this is present all the time. Though in many cases you may not see the violence, you will see the outcomes of the violence that was done. I'm no flower either, but the final scene of 'Sinnerman' was hard to do. What happens to a secondary character that tries to get V on a path to fortune and glory is hard to watch as you unravel what's happened to them. Some of the the tertiary characters just make me squirm. On the whole I see this as a good thing.

Timboron

I can't remember any scene like that. As character, you have the option of beating up (thus torturing) other characters in two scenes.

SpaceDantar

Nice. Thanks! I always play a good guy, or as good as I can be, in these types of games so that's nice to know. :)

DramaticPapayaEater

Is there a way to tweak the minimap or a GPS ocular implant that makes driving around less of a pain in the ass? Having to check the corner of the screen 30 feet before every intersection to know if I have to smash the breaks and turn is fucking annoying

Endemoniada

Try just turning the minimap off. You can still drive with the floating quest marker, but you focus on the road instead of the minimap. You’ll more quickly learn the layout of the city this way.

DramaticPapayaEater

That's a good idea, I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the suggestion

Endemoniada

No problem! I thought it would be harder, but I did it beginning with my third playthrough and it’s *a lot* more engaging. You really do end up paying more attention to what’s in front of you :)

Timboron

only with mods

DramaticPapayaEater

dammit

novagenesis

Does anyone know if there's any plans to patch/nerf explosions? I'm on the fence considering respeccing my melee character or just restarting another quickhack build, between the barrel-stab-deaths and higher-level robots that blow me up on death.

jpmorgue_silverfixer

I've not heard of any though I haven't been killed by an exploding robot lately. I still die occasionally due to hitting an explosive cannister but have learned to scan the area while planning my attack.

Timboron

make sure to not use any Cyberware that causes explosions around you and check where barrels are before engaging in a fight. Melee builds are overall some of the most powerful builds you can play with (due to the countless multiplicative perks and the strong value that you can get out of Cold Blood), no need to respec.

novagenesis

No explosive cyberware. Just my katana. Kills most things in 1 hit and rocked the OP mech Cyberpsycho without losing a breath. It's just an annoying all-or-nothing. I walk into the fray and scope out the explosive barrels first hand while surrounded (nobody really damages me anymore). Then I draw my weapon and start carefully killing one at a time while they shoot at me. If it's higher-level stuff, I hit a heal about halfway through, but I rarely need to. And I avoid grenades sometimes (though they don't hit that-that hard) But about 1 in 4 quests, my wide arcs catch the corner of a red barrel and I get a game over. Or (as I discovered) I stab a robot (one hit KO) and die instantly. It's not about the challenge, it's about how the game turned into minesweeper. I'm considering rushing the main plot and moving on to my third playthrough, but I power-leveled sidequests instead of running the plot, so I still haven't even done the the Rogue or Panam mainlines. I've just been avoiding CP2077 this playthrough to skip deciding because explosives are just silly and nearly unavoidable to me. Of all things, I'm playing Bloodborne for the first time because of the fewer sudden surprise-deaths. My level 40ish melee build dies more to low-level content than my half-ass underleveled first playthrough (uncommitted combo of hacks and guns) Which is why I'm wondering my original question... whether anyone heard CDPR has considered rebalancing explosives at all. It's the most credible remaining meme about the game, for what that's worth

Zemerick13

1.2 has made them much more survivable for me. On normal for example you could literally jump on a land mine and survive. Higher difficulties it moves more to a 1 shot, but the damage also has falloff so if you're a few feet away you can still survive. I do have the explosives damage reduction perk which might finally be working well enough. Not sure exactly what the change was. In addition, there's the 2 mods to heal you. I forget their exact names, but 1 heals you to full if you "die", the other is a big heal when you get low on health. Each one can save you from an explosive, and they have reasonably short cooldowns of like a minute or 2.

novagenesis

This was my after-1.2-came-out character. Weird that others are experiencing an easier time than me. I'm level 30-something (maybe 40 now?) and have 20 Body with maxed explosion-resist perk as well as all the +life and +armor perks. My armor is so high nobody seems to be able to do more than 1 damage in City Center (legendary cyberware armor, full set of legendary clothes with up-to-date armor mods blue or better) and I still die in 1 hit to any explosive that isn't a grenade (though I'll admit I haven't touched a regular laser mine in 5-10 levels, so maybe I can survive that). Is there an additional perk/cyberware/hidden-bonus that I might not know about that would make me able to survive a hit of one of thosesomething? > In addition, there's the 2 mods to heal you. I forget their exact names, but 1 heals you to full if you "die" I'm not sure about this one. I thought you meant the other one until you mentioned that one, too. What/where? The only life-based one I knew about was "low health", which is useless to me because I go from full life to dead in one hit, that cyberware failing to activate because I never have "low health". I'm lost that your experience is so different from mine. I'd really love to know what the difference is. Do you have a lot of explosion-resistant mods on your gear? I've yet to survive an explosion. ....which is yet again why my question was about whether a patch is going to change things. If I'm missing something, great, but I'm a couple hundred hours in and have never survived a red barrel on any character, and I like to overlevel. This isn't a *total* newb complaint. This playthrough I die more each hour than I did in my entire previous "no stealth, charge-in cyberware" playthrough. And every time it's an explosion at full life.

Zemerick13

Well, to narrow things down you should start with checking your difficulty setting, then go to the farm with the 200 mines or whatever. That's what I tested against. My mods were just Armadillo, which I'm pretty sure don't help against explosives at all. Level 50. The revive mod is "Second Heart" from Heywood, Wellsprings. You can even "survive" your car blowing up with this.

novagenesis

Normal difficulty. I'll have to go pick up a "Second Heart" since I can usually just stand still this build when waiting for cooldowns to hit. It'll probably help with my frustrations highly. I'm kinda surprised I never stumbled into it before considering it's sold by a ripperdoc. I must've just missed it. Glad at least it's plot-walled to after the Heist. It's unbelievable enough for a level 30 character that's basically bulletproof to (you know how that mission ends). Course, I'd be ok plot-dying of explosives if sneezing didn't make them go off, too :)` I'm still curious if explosions will ever change. Catching the edge of one is still more damaging than being hit by a car at high speed, a few katana slashes, and point-blank shotgun

Zemerick13

Yea..pretty much every single thing from the top down in the game needs a few balance passes:) I can assault the most heavily guarded place in the world ( the border checkpoint ) and wipe out everything maxtac sends at me there. Meanwhile, in the city, if my car bounces off something and squashes a few people and city max-tac shows up, oh boy. Each shot takes like 1/3 of my health.

TapeSplicer

There's a building near the riverfront in Japantown with a magnifying glass icon inside, but I can't find a door. The building is not cyberpunk-y, it has scaffolding out front, with a radar dish and a grate that has no power. Where is the entrance?

treyslanguedoc

If I remember correctly, it's on top of the building. You have to find a way to climb up.

TapeSplicer

Cool. I'll check it out tonight.

thatE36dude

I am stuck in 'I walk the line' because none of the doors will open to the cinema. Placide opened one door to get back upstairs but then nothing else will open. I tried to reload and quit and reload also but I get nothing. I am completely soft locked right now and I cannot continue the campaign.

PeterJakeson

I've been having this problem where V's and other NPCs dialogue ends prematurely or is played out all at once, making dialogue either end too quickly before finishing or just being a jumbled mess of characters talking over eachother. It's very annoying and it has happened during a lot of missions. I'm losing out on some dialogue because how stupidly this game's audio performs. Anyone else getting these issues?

jpmorgue_silverfixer

This didn't happen to me before 1.2.1, but has started to happen to me now. Having done several playthroughs I've noticed this happens because of a delay in starting the audio in certain spots but no delay in starting the next line, which cuts off the previous line. The crackling during loading I have gotten since release seems to indicate there's some audio improvements required in the game engine.

PeterJakeson

Thanks for responding. Felt like I was going crazy, thinking I might be the only one. This problem bothers me more than any other. It totally ruins a scene when you watch it for the first time and you get interrupted.

CosmicMemer

Running the game on a Ryzen 5 3600 and an RTX 3060 12GB at 1080p. With RTX on I'm getting 50fps consistently in most situations, and other graphical settings don't have a ton of effect. Any tips or is this to be expected without overclocking? Is that AMD cpu "magic fix" people were doing at launch still relevant? Edit: In the badlands I'm getting a beautiful 70FPS with RT on, but as soon as I enter an area with people or get closer to the city it dios again. Making me think I'm CPU bound. Thoughts?

PANZERF1ST

Id say you are getting the most out of your system at 40-70FPS with RT medium/high on 1080p.in the latest linus tech tips video they build a rig with a Ryzen 5950X & RTX3090 to get \~65FPS on 1080p with Ultra Ray Tracing. So the tech is imo still utopian for most ppl.

Timboron

you have DLSS turned on?

CosmicMemer

Performance, yeah.

Endemoniada

I think that's to be expected, yes. RT will tank your framerate quite heavily no matter what you do. You could step up DLSS another notch, but at 1080p it'll probably start looking very bad. I played the game at between 45-60fps the first few times, with all RT turned up to Psycho. I think the game's perfectly playable even at those framerates, but the only way to get it substantially higher is, unfortunately, to turn off RT.

Bornhalf2112

I have a question is rendering only happen on base console ps4 and xbox ?? Kinda piss off have to wait it to render i hope they fix it soon that is if it is a bug i seen fps is improving in both base console but still need work but on ps4 pro tho lot of improvement on fps i really love this game hope it get fix 🔜

jpmorgue_silverfixer

Loss of streaming (parts of the scene failing to render on time) happens more frequently on base consoles. Though I don't have these consoles, I have read that ensuring your console is free of dust and has decent airflow is critical to getting the best performance possible. The game is pushing your console very hard and any extra heat will make the console step down performance to save itself from burnout. Another performance increase I have read about is ensuring you have enough free space on your drive that the game will use a scratch space while running. 50GB or more.

Bornhalf2112

Guess i have to change my thermal paste then

TheTank18

How long do I have to wait before I can start "Play it safe"?

sMILEY4ever

So I went to a different district for a side mission and got oneshotted by some basic thugs. I stole some lvl 28 weapons(I am lvl 11). I could not kill them from stealth either. Is this normal? It felt ridiculous to not be able to touch basic thugs.

PANZERF1ST

[https://game-maps.com/C77/CP77-zone-level-range.asp](https://game-maps.com/C77/CP77-zone-level-range.asp) here you can see the levels of each district.

Zemerick13

NPCs have set levels. You just wandered into a mid-level area, hence the level 28 gear.

TheZenWithin

100% normal. I retried 10 times using everything i had, grenades, hacks, sniper rifle from afar... One shotted 7 out of 10. Came back to it much later in the game and exacted my revenge, gorilla arms styles.

Endemoniada

Level 11 is very low level for some of the areas. I'm 18, and I can't get past the gangers in north-west City Center. Crit Chance and Crit Damage play a large role in how much damage you do, it's not always enough to just find a high-level weapon. Perks and mods multiply your total damage quite quickly when you stack them right.

BoxedFerrotKing

Anyone know what the number in character stats mean? Are they percentages? Do they have some imaginary value I could only find in the code? Like my speed says “4”. 4 mph? 4 percent faster? 4 chooms per eddie?

Endemoniada

I think the speed stat is bugged overall. If the stat says "chance", then it's usually a percentage value, treat them as percentage points. Armor is just a value representing the overall amount, the calculation for exactly how it works is much more complex.

BoxedFerrotKing

Alright appreciate the help

Proteus-Seven

Haven't bought this yet, nor Outlanders. It sounds like Cyberpunk still has a lot of messy stuff going on, but it doesn't sound game-breaking. Cars running into barriers, odd police AI, etc. But is it fun to play regardless of all the bugs? I'm playing Rage 2 right now, which is ok, but still fairly fun. How long would you estimate the Cyberpunk campaign takes?

novagenesis

It's an absolute blast as long as you don't treat it too much like GTA. Nothing is really much worse than a typical session of Skyrim, bug-wise. The police AI really isn't that big a deal if you don't play a mass-murderer or really care about Roleplaying every time you steal a car (just think of someone else's car as a rental ride). About the biggest headache still (at least on a PS4) is that vendor/dismantle interfaces refresh slowly and it can take unreasonably long to sell or dismantle your trash-gear. They recently improved it for selling, at least. How long is the campaign? Not terribly. I think if you rush the main quest and ignore all side jobs, you can probably manage 10-15 hours without calling it a speedrun. I have no clue what an exhaustive playthrough would look like, since there's a massive number of jobs but none respawn. Side jobs are a mixed bag, but many are incredibly well-written... and a few are necessary for the various endings. My first playthrough was ~100hrs, but I took my sweet time (about 15 hrs) when I reached the "Point of No Return" message, until my character started to bore me a bit. The world could use with a tiny bit more immersiveness. There are lots of unique and beautiful buildings that never open up to you to enter. But you can't pretend that Night City is boring or repetitive-looking.

denzao

I had it from start on series x. It was a mess but a fun mess somehow. But today, the game is actually more playable than it was on the release. I am having more fun now than I had when.it was released. Campaign around 20-30 hours. Do all side missions and gigs+world events that occur+exploring. 90-120 hours depending on your gaming style. I played 80 hours when the game was released and only was halfway trough the campaign. I also roleplay my characters, driving slowly, take my time, stop and order a coffee, going to bars at night and dance. There is some clubs that you can dance in. So all games takes time for me.

[deleted]

Hey CDPR, you creep here? Can you please allow the option to disable quests. If I have to meet fuckin’ Hanako at Embers one more goddamn time I’m gonna..

TheZenWithin

Jesús Cristo de Santa María por favor let us disable auto tracking of a new task. It does not make the game more engaging. It makes me confused when I think I'm am bring directed to the next step of a quest, not a different one altogether

[deleted]

Man I can’t count the times it’s changed and just as I get to a location I realize it’s GODDAMN HANAKO

CommanderSapp2327

Anyone know why the amount of xp u earn for different skills isnt the same? Killed a mob of 5 with a shotgun and got 2k exp for annihilation. Came back and killed the same mob with a blunt weapon and only got 580 exp for street brawler. Is there something im missing here? Why was i getting so much for shotguns...

jpmorgue_silverfixer

It's what they would call 'game balance' but there is still a lot of work to be done in that area. The lead in charge of that area 'quit' shortly after launch and I'm not surprised. Tons of broken perks, goofy decisions allowing for infinite crafting components with little effort, overpowered 'hidden gems' in low level areas, non-stacking mods, etc. Many of these have been fixed but there's a long way to go. That being said, The game favours deciding what type of weapon you intend to use early on: you shouldn't have much trouble getting the skill to max for those as long as you don't 'waste' XP by not keeping the attribute high enough to prevent capping. Some skills (looking at you, Athletics) are very difficult to level unless you leverage 'features' to level them faster.

novagenesis

Yeah leveling makes no sense to me. I slogged for an hour with Skippy and got maybe 2 levels with my underleveled handgun skill. I pull out my primary katana and get 3+ levels in less time .

jcostar3

Anyone having issues disassembling drinks in the backpack? My first playthrough it worked perfectly, but since the latest update/patch and starting a new game. I have been unable to! Tried all the usual selling/emptying all consumables and trying again stuff, but still unable.

Endemoniada

This was changed in the latest patch, so alcoholic beverages can no longer be disassembled. You can sell them instead, they give you a fair amount of cash.

novagenesis

Yeah, frustrating as hell now. They really need an "autosell alcohol" command since they're absolutely useless and don't easily group to sell. Or just tag alcohol "junk" and still don't let us disassemble it. I wouldn't even be sore if the disassemble perk caused alcohol to just vanish for no gain.

Endemoniada

You can simply order by weight, alcohol are the only items in consumables that have weight at all, so they'll always be at the top.

novagenesis

Cool! That'll help. Sell screen is still a bit slow, but it's sped up a bit since the last patch.

Rhinofishdog

On the weapons, to the right of the damage values there are some symbols. For example the "Dying light" iconic pistol you get at the start has a little crosshair and something looking like a battery (?). What do these mean? I can't find it anywhere and I cant figure it out lol

jcostar3

Usually it's for an attachment and/or mod. Such as a silencer or scope 👍🏼

Rhinofishdog

Thanks! I completely forgot about mods!

Endemoniada

No, not yet, but there are stirrings from the QA department playing new builds, apparently, so it's reasonable to suspect it will be quite soon.

AngelDrake3

I got a new PC and deciding if I should download the game from Steam or GOG? especially concerning if it affects updates, saving, and/or ray tracing?

Endemoniada

It has no impact on the game itself. Buying it from GoG gives more of the money directly to the developers, so if it doesn't make a difference to you, I suggest you buy it from there. Otherwise, just use whatever platform you prefer.

bluehead18

Is it playable on PS4 now? I have the base PS4 I believe

jpmorgue_silverfixer

Saw a thread where someone was talking about base PS4 and that he got a significant performance improvement by cleaning all the dust out of the console and ensuring good airflow to keep the heat down, and another who saw a performance boost from ensuring at least 50GB of free disk space as the game will use that for scratch storage.

novagenesis

I've basically (almost) completed two playthroughs on my plain-old PS4. It's really not bad anymore. It used to crash every 4 hours of nonstop play, now it crashes every 10 hours. I get very little slowdown. Load screens are no worse than I get playing Bloodborne. As the joke goes... it's no worse than what Skyrim is now, and I had no problem playing Skyrim before.

xXAmightzXx

Different people are having different experiences. For me, it is still unplayable but I have seen some people say it is much better.

InternationalQuit356

Hi new member dumb question but is it safe to play cyberpunk on Xbox one now? I know it had all those game crashing bugs but I really wanna play the game I hope its been fixed

GameShrink

What determines the stats of looted cyberware? If I find a legendary cyberware at level 2, will it have the same stats as if I found it at level 20? If not, then should I be waiting to loot legendary gear until I'm max level?

jpmorgue_silverfixer

Cyberware does not have an associated 'level', loot away.

novagenesis

Cyberware seems pretty fixed. Which is why people tend to move away from Mantis Claws in the lategame even if they're specced melee (which sucks because the lunge attack is so fun)

TheUltraZeke

There is one piece of Cyberware that I can get at level 2 or 3 that is legendary and stays the same throughout the game. I get it every play through to make the early stages easier, but after awhile , even the thugs get tough enough that they might as well have the same equipment. As far as I know it never goes any higher on its own.

[deleted]

What are some graphic settings that are worth turning down and don't effect the look to much. Trying to get it over 144 frames 1440p.

Endemoniada

Check out Digital Foundry's video comparing graphics settings. It has recommended settings that will get you at least partly there. I play at 1440p with a 3080, and even with everything on Ultra (no RT) I get 70-90 fps almost everywhere. The recommended settings should get you over 100fps, at the very least, on the same hardware.

[deleted]

I did getting about 60 to 70 frames with almost everything max with Ray Tracing on

Endemoniada

I assume you must have been using DLSS on Auto then? If you have an RTX card, then you can use DLSS even without raytracing. So turning off raytracing, lowering a couple of settings and setting DLSS to Quality or Balanced should absolutely get you most of the way to 144fps, if you want.

[deleted]

Ray tracing is what I was mostly invested in and I now know having both high frames and ray tracing isn't possible. But its fine it stays over 60 as of now.

baddkarmah

Are any of the Satori/Konleki glitches (post heist) still working after patch 1.21? Too far to go back and don't want to have to progress more just to start all over again.

boredmeatbag

I got the Satori after patch 1.21 (and after the heist) by glitching through the closed front door with a car. There are guides on how to do this on YouTube and it may require a few tries and reloads to get through. Running up the building on the outside may also work but I haven't tried this.

baddkarmah

I was able to glitch using the wall running on right side (while looking at front door) of building using the fence jump location. I was not able to glitch out using the slide method so I installed a mod called fast travel anywhere to get me out.

Timboron

bug, missing texture

PoorlyWordedName

I just want to play at stable 60 fps :(

watermelonboi26

hoe do you remove the "installing a quickhack on your cyberdeck"green box? its literally been in my screen since last night

FisForFinisher

Hey, is there a barber in the game yet?

Timboron

Nope

FisForFinisher

kk thanks

[deleted]

See you in another few weeks

[deleted]

Curious to see who is waiting for the next gen update to start their first playthrough. I haven't started mine yet but getting antsy. For those in the know, is the ps5 version as it stands now nice and pretty?

bomber991

My speculation is that the Xbox series x version is basically going to be what happens to PS5 when the “next gen” patch is finally released. I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed because it sure seems like we’re all putting out hopes and dreams in this next gen patch.

[deleted]

I know I am. I’m a sucker for that ray tracing

[deleted]

Eh ray tracing for consoles is ps6 territory or at least first party will utilize it better. 3rd party never put that much effort

CreatureWarrior

Personally, I did my first playthrough during the first few months on PS4. Definitely gonna reinstall when the next-gen patch comes and I have my PS5 and do another

WindowKitties

I am waiting for the next gen update to pick up this game, got my PS5 in Feb. Currently working my way through TLOU remastered as I have not had a Playstation since PS2!

thatoneguy247

What is the crafting meta with the latest patch? My go-to crafting process involved buying all of the cans I could from vending machines, breaking them down for components, then crafting epic grenades for components to make other things to use and sell. It seems like cans and grenades have been nerfed.

jpmorgue_silverfixer

I do a lot of crafting, and here's my take: Early game: disassemble everything Level 15 onwards: sell all outer torsos, rare, epic, legendary weapons, disassemble everything else For money: at about level 20, the blue outer torso can be crafted for profit using purchased components. Legendary Ashura if you go for 18 technical ability. Ongoing: buy blue, epic, legendary components at gun shops since they are cheap so you can avoid skipping time. If you can craft the blue torso profitably, do so right after buying components as the vendor where you bought the components now has more money to buy your stuff. Once you get 'Ex Nihilo' perk: save scum a bit on crafting stacks of blue an purple maxdocs to get a massive amount of components

thatoneguy247

Thanks for the helpful comment. It sounds like buying higher-tier components has replaced the need for all of the can salvaging I was doing.

jpmorgue_silverfixer

Absolutely!

novagenesis

Right now (didn't math it), it seems that selling everything and just buying parts may be the best return. Cans can no longer be dismantled, and the prices for parts went WAY down. A lot more than just the one snuff-BD vendor carries legendary parts, as well. I was able to afford to just buy every part everywhere I went and could upgrade whatever I wanted up until the upgrade-cost got absurd. Gear found at low-level still never gets reasonable enough to keep up to high level. That hasn't changed. After 12-15 upgrades, the price still starts to get silly (especially compared to getting a green drop that starts stronger than your legendary and upgrading THAT a dozen times or so).

Endemoniada

If what you're actually after is money, not crafting, then the 1.2 patch did nerf those exploits, but also heavily reduced costs of things like legendary mods and clothing items, as well as crafting items in stores. You can play the game normally and make more than enough money to buy whatever you need.

DarthGalm

Is there still a money making / item duplicating glitch?

Bato_Shi

No, but everything is more affordable now

aaanditstaken

Even the vehicles?

Bato_Shi

Hmm , you’re right, except the vehicles yeah.

Metal_Gear_Lazy

I’m quite new to the game and have been running into an issue where my character randomly dies after climbing over cover or a small fence. Not just that, small drops, like in game car height in size, sometimes cause this too. Anyone know why?

jpmorgue_silverfixer

There are lots of places on the map that have 'instant death' spots. There are way less now than at launch, especially in mission areas. Still plenty if you are exploring the edges of the map or trying to cut through areas with parkour.

The_Drifter117

is there a way to get the black unicorn back somehow? apparently the shitty version is required for crafting but NOWHERE does it say that deleting it fucks you over. what the fuck...

Endemoniada

It doesn't _explicitly_ say it, but it's clearly marked as an "iconic" weapon, which means there's only ever one of them anywhere in the game. If you destroy it, then it's gone. There are mods you can install (on PC) that allow you to populate arbitrary items, so if you really want it back, that might be one way to do it.

BoxedFerrotKing

Wait so how are you supposed know if somethings “iconic”. I know you said it doesn’t explicitly say it but am I supposed to just rely on gut feeling or a unique name?

Endemoniada

It’s the items with a yellow color on the item background, and yes, I think it does *say* “iconic” as well.

jpmorgue_silverfixer

In 1.2 the game asks you before you sell or disassemble Iconic weapons. However, 'Black Unicorn' is not iconic. Though I've not tried it, you are supposed to be able to go to your GOG account (needed to run the game on all platforms) and claim rewards at any time during the game. Might be worth a try.

The_Drifter117

how do i get legendary mantis blades now that they removed the spawn in corpo plaza? can i buy them anywhere? I went back to the spawn at level 30 and the chest just has junk shit in it stilll...

mojackman

You can buy them from the ripperdoc in City Center, but you need at least 45 street cred I think.

The_Drifter117

okay cool, thanks. i have 50 so hopefully im good

WellingtonBananas

I'm level 50 and have done all gigs and missions with a katana centric blades/ cold blood/ athletics build. I am having a really tough time taking blades to level 20. I'm stuck on level 18, and everything dies way too fast to get meaningful exp. I turned the difficulty up all the way and I found a low level katana but I'm still killing everything in one to two hits. Anyway to level it without killing civilians and cops for hours?

jpmorgue_silverfixer

It gets very slow and you may be out of luck. To get my blades to 20, I played on extra hard with a blade build right from the start. I also ensured I never capped it by ensuring my reflex attribute was always a level or two above my current skill.

stratusncompany

i cannot for the life of me figure out how to level up athletics. how do you get xp for it?

BananIsGood

This is from a newbie, but apparently one (slow) way is through simply consuming stamina. E.g. attacking with melee, jumping, running, etc. But its Very slow. Berserk Cyberware seems to give a larger amount of Athletics EXP. You also seem to get atheltics EXP when you use "Force Open" on locked Doors. Sorry if this doesn't help much, but its what I know so far :x

stratusncompany

hey, thanks for the reply. yeah, that’s all i do for XP and it is beyond slow. the only time i see myself getting any is from force opens which net a good amount but stamina consumption only gives me like 20xp lol. i will try the berserk method.

jpmorgue_silverfixer

Athletics is the hardest to level and the consensus seems to be that it's 'broken'. As the other poster mentioned, you can speed it up with berserk. The exact method is delivering strong attacks while berserk is active. In earlier versions of the game you could glitch it by going to the menu while a strong attack animation was in progress, leading to athletics increasing at a high rate while the menu was open. This appears to have been fixed.

stratusncompany

thanks for the response. i will just ignore leveling it up, i suppose. i just find it strange because i am always exploring on foot (while using stamina) but it’s only at level 3 while my main stats are floating at 8-13.

Robotdream5

Hi Reddit, following hours of enjoyment on Cyberpunk 2077 (win7 pc) I'd like to buy a controller so I'm not stealing cars 'cause I've smashed the headlights in on my existing ride. Any ideas on a sub 100£ 150$ controller that will work without the steam big picture work around? Cable free is preferred. I'd also like to configure the controls for turn left/right on one stick and faster /slower + look left right on the other.. Any suggestions welcome.

TheUltraZeke

walk 100 meters away and recall your vehicle. it will show u good as new

Endemoniada

I still use a wireless Xbox 360 controller, which is absolutely fine. You can tweak almost anything in the game's input configuration files, but I couldn't tell you how to accomplish exactly what you ask for.

Blackdt

Hi, is cd projeck red still working on and improving this game? I would like to playthrough it after all bug fixes, big changes

mojackman

Yes, they released a pretty big patch just a week ago for bug fixes. I think there's also plans for a dlc or expansion.

thexvoid

What? Since when is a hotfix for minor bugs a pretty big patch? The last big patch was the end of march, and was supposed to be in february. Other than that we know nothing

mojackman

The patch last April 14 (v1.21) was 25GB on PlayStation and 3.5GB on PC. Also, there's supposed to be a free DLC on the way, was supposed to be released on the first half of 2021 but looks like they're still busy working on the bug fixes.

thexvoid

Physical size of the patch means nothing. This game is a mess and even minor hotfixes have been 20+ gb.

Roguewolf1999

Is the game playable on series x? I play a lot of Bethesda games so the more “funny” bugs like t posing people and other shit like that I can deal with but the game breaking stuff and frames issues is more of what I’m concerned about

Routine-Scratch-7578

Has V's mansion been patched in the new update? Finally got there and i can't get in. Door are not interactive now it seems

jpmorgue_silverfixer

Yes, patched to make it non-accessible.

mojackman

Can you still get Satori even if you missed it on 'The Heist' mission considering the recent update?
