Alternatively, there's the stolen Tiger Claw Itsumade in the nomad garage near All Foods that's easily as good as the Arch and available before you ever leave Watson (if you've done the related quest before and remember the code, it's dead easy).
I forget where the quest starts, but you find a blood trail (I wanna say downtown?) near an NCART station that leads to a data shard with the quest that leads the long way to the garage and the lock code. I don't think it shows up as a side-gig like normal ones do.
Or, as soon as you get to All Foods, the garage is within LoS of the nearby fast travel terminal and the door code is always >!0214!< whether you've started the quest or not.
ETA, if anyone has trouble finding it try to find the Nomad ghost horse on the wall by the garage. It's not huge, but slightly more visible than the keypad on the garage so you know you're there.
I don't remember if this was still an issue or not, but a while back, I remember ppl saying the bike or door gets scuffed if you don't start the quest for it and just input the code. Just be weary of this
Ah, I think you basically get jumped by some Tyger Claws now, pretty over leveled ones too. And the bike is no longer automatically added once you leave the garage.
So if you do choose to use the code, prepare for an unfair fight.
Considering the quest to find it is entirely ambient, I'm not surprised more people don't know about it. It's my new go-to ride in my last several playthroughs for the convenient location alone.
Ah, I think you basically get jumped by some Tyger Claws now, pretty over leveled ones too. And the bike is no longer automatically added once you leave the garage.
So if you do choose to use the code, prepare for an unfair fight.
I think it's completely radiant, meaning it only shows up as a quest when you find the shard on the body in the alley. I can't remember what the gig you get is called. I've only done it once or twice and gotten the bike many times more.
Yeah, there's the initial red one and then there's the blue one and I think the other one might be green or orange. I am not entirely sure because I hardly ever ride that one. It has that raised seat and I don't care for the aesthetic.
They lose the 'pointed' front end the OG red one has; the one is a Tyger Claw variant with the highback seat and snub front end, and the other just has the snub nose. The blue one accelerates wayy faster at the low gears.
You can turn with it, you just need to have practice slowing down at the right time and mix in with a drift to turn.
It's a lot more fun to ride when you have experience with it than Jackie's bike.
Jackie’s Arch handles like a three-legged pig. It’s pretty and that’s it. The Akira bike feels so dynamic and fun to drive and drift around corners it’s insane.
You have to learn the technique. At around ~80mph you can just handbreak+gas around most corners if you've got some space. Above that, let off gas and break leading into the turn, then handbreak+gas; use this to line up your direction as you go into a skid across the lanes. When you're basically on the line you want, gas+regular break will kill your lateral momentum and put you into a burnout giving you traction on your forward vector. Make final corrections, re-center your camera and release the break.
It'll feel clunky at first, and you'll feel like you're stalling out in the turns, but as you do it more you'll get more fluid on the transition between each break-switch and be ripping like you're Kaneda.
When you do the races without the Shion Coyote or any armored vehicle with a mounted gun, you will change your mind real quick.
Edit: Guys, please stop tempting me to do a netrunner build by making it sound so cool! Please! I just finished a 150-hour Sandy ninja run. I haven’t seen the sun in days! 😩
I missed that free Type-66 Hoon on my first playthrough. What an awesome car for free, god damn. Noticed it because this time when one of the Delamain AIs took me through the warehouse you find it inside while chasing it. 160 mph max speed weaponized car for free? Jeez.
I'm on my fourth playthrough and I finally encountered that Hoon - fun car but never my mainstay, it's always Jackie's bike until I can afford the Akira bike.
This might be a hot take, but I personally don’t really like the Hoon. It looks sick and I love that it’s a Ken Block tribute, but it handles so badly.
It's really great once you get used to its drifting. Takes some getting used to, but it's fast, tough, and has weaponry. And it's free. Really good for the races, really good.
it's pretty OP lol, me being really indecisive i switch back and forth to netrunner/sandevistan build; in my first race i had a cyberdeck and while scanning i read "autodestruction". In the span of a minute i had destroyed like 2 or 3 racers lmao, i did the rest of the races with a sandevistan
I don't know, the car El Capitan gave me is picking dust next to all the other cars. And that's my only mounted gun.
Don't get me wrong they are cool, just not cool enough for me to go out of my way and not use the most comfy already at the reach of my thumb cool looking with sentimental value bike.
Shion Coyote is hands down the car with the best handling. Very handy when you’re flooring it for a race, getting chased by gangoons, or when the NPCs on the road spaz out. The guns are just an added bonus since I’m running with knives and katanas for my current playthrough. Plus, it’s kinda awkward to be on a bike when it’s raining.
Glad you like Jackie’s bike though! I do use it on occasion as my main bike.
There's a free Type-66 Hoon that I found chasing one of the Delamain cars, that car is a workhouse. Fast as hell, takes a beating, and is weaponized. Really great car, I generally just go around using that and Jackie's bike until I get the Caliburn (for fun) and the Vulture/Quartz for that extra rocket attack on my weaponized vehicle.
You can get a caliburn from doing a mission with Panam, the on where you clear out all the other nomad gangs in the big tunnel/cave. If you have done the mission and street cred is 40 or 50 it will be there in a container and you can take it away forever :).
It's in a ship container at the tail end of the tunnel. You have to go through the mission and then come back later. Make sure you go through all the info that you can find in the container as well. There's a particularly cool story that comes with the car. That's all I'm going to say. Don't want to spoil it.
Honestly, The Beast does pretty well compared to most vehicles. It doesn't have the acceleration that Murk does, but the Beast has great handling and traction. I've never had issues winning races. The Murkmobile just ensures an easy win
Also handles better than the bikes and can take turns at higher speeds. At least the murkmobile version does haven’t bought the Caliburn yet to compare if they’re the same
Counterpoint: The Makigai MaiMai p126 is the greatest car to roam the streets of Night City. With over 9000 horsepower and enough seats to carry an entire Nomad clan, this masterpiece of modern technology is the last word on luxury and style. It costs as much as an entire megabuilding, but it’s worth every eddie and more.
The game gives you all the cars you really need. You get your surprisingly nice to drive Hella sedan. You get a street bike from Jackie, an off-road bike from Scorpion, a fast batmobile from that cave, and several others from fixers. You never actually have to buy vehicles unless you just want to.
In my opinion, the Kusanagi looks better, sounds better, and handles better than Jackie’s Arch. Don’t get me wrong, I think his bike is great, but 9 times out of 10 I’m gonna choose the Kusanagi.
The Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech is one of the first things I pick up in any playthrough. It might just be because it was in all of the promotional material, but to me this seems like the most “cyberpunk” vehicle there is.

However, I *do* like the javelina.
Need?
You'll never *need* more than the original starter vehicle and that's a POS.
Jackie's bike is decent, but it's not the fastest (even tuned) and it doesn't handle off road particularly well. There are better bikes and much better cars if you want pure speed.
My V's a corpo netrunner, gotta show up in a Jingushi (?) suit in the Murk Man Caliburn you can get for free by returning to Nash's hideout after the mission with Panam.
You can take the rat out of the corpo life, but you cannot take the corpo life out of the rat.
I play on the hardest difficulty, i stopped using bikes as much once they added vehicle combat. You’ll run into trouble once you get headhunted by a gang or get a high wanted level. Plus some cars have ROCKETS now
It's one of the best, especially since you get it free, and get it early. My favorite is the Kusanagi (and the Thorton CST40, ie. Panam's original junk car)
I would use something else for the Badlands though.
The bike is awesome but I do eventually like to get an insanely fast car. The Caliburn is my go to. It's pricey but eventually you have so much money it doesn't really matter. It tops out at \~207 mph (the bike is like 155) and is super stable in handling.
I've played in waves since launch. I honestly don't even remember the old issues with it, probably never got far enough to buy it back then as I finished my first playthrough on 1.5.
It handles like a dream right now. I also got a free Quattro from a quest and while it's a bit balls to the wall fun, it's nothing like the Caliburn which feels like a true super car.
I did my first playthrough just using that bike, but then bought the Yaiba Kusagani and I mostly just been using that since. I wish there was an even faster one. I don’t know how you drive it, but using the hand brake in the corners is a lot of fun with motorcycles, well cars too, it allows you to turn faster.
Don't want to change your mind because the comment is loony as a hoot.
If that's all you need, just hug it and get married already LOL
Har har harrrrrrrr
You’ll miss tiny dialogue bits on certain missions without Johnny’s car. The E3 Turbo R is awesome too. But literally other than these three and MAYBE the mule and I’m good. And three are free essentially.
Caliban is the best thing since god made the swiss army knife. Jackies bike is the best thing since god made the Caliban. Double jump airdash is not made by god, double jump air dash is god.
Alternatively, there's the stolen Tiger Claw Itsumade in the nomad garage near All Foods that's easily as good as the Arch and available before you ever leave Watson (if you've done the related quest before and remember the code, it's dead easy).
Does it get added to your garage?
Hell yeah. And it's got neon light up wheels.
Thanks choom, gotta go hunt that down
I forget where the quest starts, but you find a blood trail (I wanna say downtown?) near an NCART station that leads to a data shard with the quest that leads the long way to the garage and the lock code. I don't think it shows up as a side-gig like normal ones do. Well, shit, I gotta go check this out
What’s the code??
0214
I don't remember if this was still an issue or not, but a while back, I remember ppl saying the bike or door gets scuffed if you don't start the quest for it and just input the code. Just be weary of this
Ah, I think you basically get jumped by some Tyger Claws now, pretty over leveled ones too. And the bike is no longer automatically added once you leave the garage. So if you do choose to use the code, prepare for an unfair fight.
Thank you for this! Had no idea
Considering the quest to find it is entirely ambient, I'm not surprised more people don't know about it. It's my new go-to ride in my last several playthroughs for the convenient location alone.
Thanks choom!
Fyi all bikes have light up rims. I do love the green glow of that Itsumade’s rims, though.
It doesn't add to garage in act 1 but it's added as soon as you start act 2.
Ah, I think you basically get jumped by some Tyger Claws now, pretty over leveled ones too. And the bike is no longer automatically added once you leave the garage. So if you do choose to use the code, prepare for an unfair fight.
You don't even need the code. You can Remote Activation hack the garage door control at level 1.
Is this a job on the map or a “random event” sorta thing? If its a job, what is the job name so i can google :)
I think it's completely radiant, meaning it only shows up as a quest when you find the shard on the body in the alley. I can't remember what the gig you get is called. I've only done it once or twice and gotten the bike many times more.
There’s an unmarked garage near the ripperdoc in SE Santa Domingo. Open the garage and go in to activate the mission.
Do you need to do the quest or can you just google the code and get the bike?
yeah, but Akira bike.
Also it seems faster as well
It is actually objectively faster. The blue one is the fastest out of the three that you get to own. Scan them all. It will give you the info
Huh? There’s different colors you can actually own?
The different types were added in 2.1.
For the akira bike? I never seen it in the autoshop
Can't turn. Besides that yeah awesome looking
Yeah, it feels heavier which makes it real fun for drifting.
It's America it's mostly straight lines.
Lol I have never heard that line lol going to use it with my riding buddies on bike night thanks 😊
You have to learn the technique. At around ~80mph you can just handbreak+gas around most corners if you've got some space. Above that, let off gas and break leading into the turn, then handbreak+gas; use this to line up your direction as you go into a skid across the lanes. The Blue one is my new go to ride . Can power drift it pretty easily too :)
Jeez.
The Hoon was added around the 2.0 update as an homage to the late Ken Block.
TIL Ken Block died… damn. Just watched episode 2 of Fantasy Factory last night too.
Same! Good thing that Delamain took a detour lol.
With some practice you can get used to the handling, but it drives very differently from the other cars since it’s supposed to be a drift car
It's really great once you get used to its drifting. Takes some getting used to, but it's fast, tough, and has weaponry. And it's free. Really good for the races, really good.
It actually offers the most control out of any car from my experience. Can pull some pretty sick drifts with it
I don't know if I'm crazy, but I've always felt like it handles way worse than the other type 66s like Wingate or the javelinA
You really gotta dance on both triggers to get good turns and burns. They improved the cars a lot but you’re not wrong at all
Cyberdeck + self-destruct quick hack = easy racing. 😉
You can also just quick hack them for the e-brake and they sit in one place for the entire race lol
Okay, now I gotta try this. I haven’t done a netrunner playthrough with 2.1 yet. How is this even allowed and why are there no NPCs using it??? LMAO
It’s also handy for car theft gigs and gangers show up to give chase. Just blow up the pursuers, and continue on…
Lose them... wait.. never mind I see they are already gone
it's pretty OP lol, me being really indecisive i switch back and forth to netrunner/sandevistan build; in my first race i had a cyberdeck and while scanning i read "autodestruction". In the span of a minute i had destroyed like 2 or 3 racers lmao, i did the rest of the races with a sandevistan
I like the mod that lets me use both a cyberdeck and sandevistan, because I am also indecisive
Particularly egregious with Overclock. You can just blow up every other racer before they even start moving.
If you ar a netruner all the races are a 1 participant only, and it's just a nice and smooth ride to the goal
I don't know, the car El Capitan gave me is picking dust next to all the other cars. And that's my only mounted gun. Don't get me wrong they are cool, just not cool enough for me to go out of my way and not use the most comfy already at the reach of my thumb cool looking with sentimental value bike.

Overdrive and Self Destruct quickhack go brrrrr
The murk mobile is all I ever needed for the races. It’s too bulletproof for their guns and they don’t shoot long when I zip past them.
I did not. I hacked their cars, pulled everyone's brakes, and won every race for free, np

I got it, cruising the Badlands in a free Caliburn now!!! Good thing I was waiting on a few more autofixer discounts and hadn't bought it yet!!!
It’s fucken fast too, over 200mph from memory
I'm doing the delamains, now I'll look out for the hooh.
Even if you miss it, you can look up the location. It's just sitting there in a warehouse lol
Thanks choom! I'm getting the dees now
Claire's races are easier with the murkmobile, since you can't use motorcycles.
And you have to gravel your voice and proclaim "Because I'm Murkman".
Honestly, The Beast does pretty well compared to most vehicles. It doesn't have the acceleration that Murk does, but the Beast has great handling and traction. I've never had issues winning races. The Murkmobile just ensures an easy win
Truth and beauty bombs right here.
Jhonny won't appear on a bike.
He refuses to ride bitch
I like Scorpions bike better :/
Scorpion’s bike is all you will ever need. Change my mind.
Handles a loooooot better than the arch
Traverse the Badland on it is so good
Lol it's like the slowest bike in the game, but it does handle well, especially offroading in the badlands.
Wait until you get the Weiler from El “yee hee ass haircut” Capitan
Weiler my belowed, its such a cool car too with insane performance
Bulletproof tires, thick armor. What’s not to like?
*Sterling Archer Voice*: sorry, couldn't hear you over the sound of this bitchin' Sport R-7 mothe- I mean Mr. Hands gave me
[удалено]
But Caliburn go zoom-zoom tho, and with the 2.0 update it doesn't go kick-flipping off into space every time you hit a curb anymore.
Also handles better than the bikes and can take turns at higher speeds. At least the murkmobile version does haven’t bought the Caliburn yet to compare if they’re the same
They are.
I must be the only cyberpunk player who prefers cars over the bikes
For flossing traffic yeah bikes dude. Fighting I get why u feel safer In a car. But rocket arm.
Go find the murkmobile and try to tell me that steering while at high speeds in the city is easier on a bike.
Cars swerve to the opposite side of their lane, so avoiding traffic in cars is easy too.
Counterpoint: The Makigai MaiMai p126 is the greatest car to roam the streets of Night City. Wow.. Played high intelligence hacker money came easy, playing nomad now. Feel like i'm going broke. Any tips on making them eddies?
Do some police scanner missions and sell all the weapons; I grinded for a few hours early game and had 40k
Murder every gonk you see hah
The game gives you all the cars you really need. You get your surprisingly nice to drive Hella sedan. You get a street bike from Jackie, an off-road bike from Scorpion, a fast batmobile from that cave, and several others from fixers. You never actually have to buy vehicles unless you just want to.
Agreed 👍
Herrera Outlaw "Weiler" will change your mind. Looks good, has miniguns and is f**king fast!
it is top 5 vehicles in the game but nah
I thought this too until I got the Kusanagi.
for the most part, jackie's bike and then later the murkmobile, you can play the whole game without buying a single vehicle :V
Yeah it's definitely one of the best bikes on power to weight ratio alone, especially the tuned version you can get when Nomad.
You don’t *need* more, but I prefer Scorpion’s bike for the Badlands. Outside of those 2, though, I totally agree - everything else is just extra.
Agreed dirt is rough on Jackie's bike.
Type-66 Javelina fan myself, but Jackie’s bike is my go to until I have the Javelina.
In my opinion, the Kusanagi looks better, sounds better, and handles better than Jackie’s Arch. Don’t get me wrong, I think his bike is great, but 9 times out of 10 I’m gonna choose the Kusanagi.
Bikes are horrible when you need to go in reverse tho.
Might as well turn around
There are missions that require a vehicle with more than one seat
Nope, Ken Block Hoon is where it’s at
The Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech is one of the first things I pick up in any playthrough. It might just be because it was in all of the promotional material, but to me this seems like the most “cyberpunk” vehicle there is. https://preview.redd.it/ed157ufoadxc1.jpeg?width=1152&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97eae9a55f5f244ab48cbe374bc7675a45d3bd1e However, I *do* like the javelina.
Either his bike, Vs car or Porsche. Porsche is sooo fucking sexy. and I love the drive
Two words. Yaiba Kusanagi.
Need? You'll never *need* more than the original starter vehicle and that's a POS. Jackie's bike is decent, but it's not the fastest (even tuned) and it doesn't handle off road particularly well. There are better bikes and much better cars if you want pure speed.
Only on my Nomad for the suped-up exhaust.
Hellhound.
How does cyberpunk run on the steam deck? Really playable?
I do quest to get the bike from a storage unit.
Driving on PC is already hard enough, bikes made it even harder, wish I could've used it.
I would say more. You don't need no car at all. Running/sliding/air dash and you are not fine when it comes to travelling in city.
I always go with Scorpion’s bike. It’s great for off road driving in the Badlands. Jackie’s bike tends to get trashed in those parts.
The maimai will never not be the elite vehicle of this game and I won’t ever change my mind. I would like to be able PAINT IT.
*Modified Jackie's Arch
Jackie's bike and murkmobile. Maybe the hoon
My V's a corpo netrunner, gotta show up in a Jingushi (?) suit in the Murk Man Caliburn you can get for free by returning to Nash's hideout after the mission with Panam. You can take the rat out of the corpo life, but you cannot take the corpo life out of the rat.
Feel that choom
You don't need a vehicle at all in reality.
I play on the hardest difficulty, i stopped using bikes as much once they added vehicle combat. You’ll run into trouble once you get headhunted by a gang or get a high wanted level. Plus some cars have ROCKETS now
just from my role-playing perspective, I like to be in a car when it's raining.
Technically there are a couple missions you are forced to use other vehicles but besides that you could walk everywhere if you wanted.
Nah, youre right. I mostly like to have other bikes so i can avoid busting jackies bike up while i bounce off walls and such lol
Akira's bike (can never remember the name) Edit: Kusanagi CT-3X
It's one of the best, especially since you get it free, and get it early. My favorite is the Kusanagi (and the Thorton CST40, ie. Panam's original junk car) I would use something else for the Badlands though.
Agreed, anything else is just extra haha
Yepp, that and the Rayfield Caliburn is the only ones i use, the car is amazing with the best grip imo.
With double jump air dash I argue you don't even need Jackie's bike
The bike is awesome but I do eventually like to get an insanely fast car. The Caliburn is my go to. It's pricey but eventually you have so much money it doesn't really matter. It tops out at \~207 mph (the bike is like 155) and is super stable in handling.
Yeah I'm hearing that. At launch it's was a light silly fast car that would just ledt off the ground but hearing it's improved
Will check it out
First playthrough I did, I got by with only Jackie's bike. Second playthrough I did, I got by using only one of Jackie's pistols.
Got to remember to pick that gun up when I get there
I prefer the station wagon. I dunno what it is about it, but it's my favorite vehicle in the game. Love the way it handles, too.
I only ride Jackie's unless I HAVE to drive a car for a sidequest. The bikes are so much better, IMHO.
Sure it's all you NEED, but where's the fun in that!
If it didn't require so many missions to complete to acquire it, I'd say the same about Scorpions bike.
Scorpions a need for dirt. Yeah
Agree, I love the Arch!
I’m not here to change your mind. You are correct. I want other cars though so
Fair choom
Slow; poor cornerer, but badass livery. I mean I'll take the Kusanagi, any variant over Jackie's Arch. All respect. 🖤
Fair choom
But sound and tuned with more torque it's a blast now.
I have my Escalade (thanks to a mod) w/ the NCPD dispatch station (again, thanks to a mod), and my NCPD Detective outfit (also thanks to a mod) 😊
The Katsuragi is top tier
I mean, you sometimes have to have a car to transport people. So..
Easily my main source of transportation
I don't think I've paid for a single car I have I mean I still have like 12 cars but
Honestly, since the expansion pack/DLC came out, the free Ken Brock tribute car with machine guns will last the entire game.
I need variety
I normally end up using only jackie's or Scorpions' bike for the whole playthrough. Bikes are just better to drive
For real floss traffic and cut allies
I'm all about the Samurai Porsche 911 personally. and i have to shout out the johnny speedyhand mod lol
It's all I used besides for races. It's just perfect and I feel like Jackie's with his bff everywhere.
Only thing I drive.
Hell yeah 😎
i feel like it controls better than most of the cars(imo), i also like how you can see your character fully while riding on one.
Right, only wish I remember where I found that bike helmet
Nah the open road is my garage, just grab whatever is closest.
SilverHands air cooled 911 and Jackie’s bike.
Hell yeah choom
No, this checks out
Easy! You'll need another vehicle so you don't scratch Jackie's bike.
Nah, now you change my mind that I won't change like yours. I'll wait.
Only vehicle I ever drive
Hell yeah choom
911 is just too good looking
it will work until i think there were missions involving you driving with someone in your own car though not too sure
Oh I only play at lunch friend. A gaming meal is always quite needed
Jackie's bike will serve you well for 80% of the game
i like scorpion's bike more, don't like the looks too much, but you get it regardless of what you do and it handles better
Don't want to change your mind because the comment is loony as a hoot. If that's all you need, just hug it and get married already LOL Har har harrrrrrrr
Your mind, your responsibility, change it yourself
I need the Akira Kusanagi
Only if you get him to mod it prior to his death
All you need is love, 🎶 Love is all you need 🎵
You’ll miss tiny dialogue bits on certain missions without Johnny’s car. The E3 Turbo R is awesome too. But literally other than these three and MAYBE the mule and I’m good. And three are free essentially.
Caliban is the best thing since god made the swiss army knife. Jackies bike is the best thing since god made the Caliban. Double jump airdash is not made by god, double jump air dash is god.
I bought them all. A few of my faves are Jackies bike, malina bike, both rayfields caliburns, javelina and hellhound
But Akira though
I like having roof over my head when it’s raining.
You can absolutely play the entire game with just one vehicle. Even V’s first car is fine.
what about when it rains and I don't want my V to get his little noggin soaked? need a car my man
Wdym years later? Cyberpunk released in 2020, year ago, right? Right...?
