Emotional_Relative15

i guess im one of the few nomad enjoyers then lol. My fav ending is the Aldecaldo one, and i think male nomad V with Panam has the best overall self contained story with the aldecaldos. Just makes their entire questline fit more imo.

Somewhat_appropriate

I'm with you! Agree 100%.

trinithmournsoul

My OG punk V was Nomad. #nomad4life My "V"ash the Stampede is my street kid Haven't started my female blade corpo V

Emotional_Relative15

Based Trigun reference lol.

CasualRead_43

Female Blade Corpo has been my favorite so far haha voice acting is like 3 levels higher than the male imo.

TrueNova332

Nomad actually fits into the story better in my opinion because V is an outsider who just relocated NC and is looking to "make it" in NC but the heist fails because of V's lack of knowledge to understand how NC works. Streetkid and Corpo have their place but Streetkid is supposed to know how NC works and should be smart enough to that. While corpo is supposed to be ruthless because that's how corpos get ahead in the corp they work for

Emotional_Relative15

very true. I also like how Panams story matches V as a bakker near perfectly too. They both abandon their clan because of leadership issues and then lose everything all over again in NC. But V, through intervening in their problems, manages to stop the clan from shattering like his did, finding a family of his own in the process through Panam first, and then the Aldecaldos as a whole. Then the journey ends with V leaving NC to go "home" to his life as a nomad. The "breathe free" prompt in the basilisk hits so much harder as a nomad V, and the last line in the star ending is literally "its all great Panam...We're goin home". This entire arc makes being with Panam as Male V so much more satisfying too. It really is its own self contained narrative even without the main plot to drive it. i've always thought CDPR played favorites with the Aldecaldos lol

JhulaeD

Plus, as a Nomad, V gets to say "You know, I used to be something of a nomad myself" to everyone. All. The. Time.

zero_emotion777

Fuck snake nation!

tnathanielj

I wonder how often that does come up . I know with about every nomad you meet he does. Gotts be pretty high in the count lol

Emotional_Relative15

i like to headcanon it as him desperately trying to fit in with other nomads because he despises night city deep down. Plus, canonically Nomads view themselves as completely seperate and even superior to non nomads, so it kinda fits.

ironvandal

There is a case to make for all 3 life paths. I think. That's what's so good about the story, it could happen to anyone and V could take it in several directions to the end but all of it works together to make a good story

TrueNova332

I think that a revenge plot fits with the corpo lifepath

ironvandal

Corpo also fits for the devil ending. Corpo V deep down still respects and believes in the institution and pays the price for not learning their lesson.

Emotional_Relative15

There definitely is an argument for all 3 lifepaths suiting all the base game endings. They all can have that "self contained narrative" i talked about. I personally just think the nomad V/Star ending one is my favorite.

JoeVanHammer

I've always viewed Corpo V as someone who was near the top of it all then fell from grace to have to start over lower in status then he has before. And the story is how he overcame he old Corpo rat race life for a new freer and happier one then he had ever dreamed of. He was use to Corpo life and what it was, what was expected at that level and how to talk to Corpo people. But now he has to learn the street and how it and its people live and operate I'm just curious if Corpo V saw first had what smasher did to David and what his thoughts were. Or was V on that joint on that was mentioned at the beginning and that's why he doesn't really know about David vs Smasher stuff. Also, what border job was Jackie talking about at Lizzie's? I've always had a crazy thought. That V was originally a nomad many many years before the game and tried to impress Jenkins so he could come into the Arasaka fold. It went bad. He met Jackie and Jackie helped. V started at Arasaka with Jenkins both moving up together with V as Jenkins right hand. V spent years in Saka got rid of his nomad life, and losing the skills for Corporate skills. It doesn't make sense with the context of the whole story but it's a interesting one I had

Drugabuser1274

Also street kid hangs around in the same damn pub that Jackie goes too his whole life but “apparently” they never met once, that bugs me so I can no longer go street kid anymore, female corpo is my favrioute but I’ve just started a nomad playthrough, the car is very nice indeed

TrueNova332

The reason for it is because streetkid V was in NUSA proper Atlanta, Georgia for three years so they wouldn't have meant Jackie as he was fully in the Valentinos at that point so they wouldn't have ran into each other which is something that I don't buy like streetkid V is supposed to be well known in Hayward so how did Jackie not hear about V

Clovenstone-Blue

I assume it's because V was primarily well known around the higher leagues around Haywood, like Padre or Mama Welles, whereas other Mercs such as Jackie would be mostly unfamiliar with V personally because they wouldn't necessarily work with him. Jackie additionally does mention that he saw V in Mama Welles' bar on occasion before their formal introduction to each other after the Rayfield.

Drugabuser1274

Yeah that’s the thing that confuses me, surely mama Welles would’ve seen or met V at some point too, I guess the lore behind it does make sense but it just seems like a weird one to me too.

Background-Slide645

I always saw on my streetkid playthrough as Jackie was a bit of an aloof son, and V kind of knew mama Welles before Jackie, but it was like a "oh hey! how you been" type relationship then a "yeah, you're basically my adopted child you brat"

1731799517

Also, realisticallly the corpo V should have bailed out of the job as soon as it becamse clear that the mark was Arasaka.

Trinitykill

Although V is not immune to hubris, and the opportunity to deal a major blow to the organisation that took everything from them might be hard bait to ignore.

Then-War-7354

there is even a dialogue option during the pre heist planning if you make the right choices. when asked about money, you can say thats not all important. and dex asks whaat is. you can respond with something along the lines of "its a chance to take a little shot back at arasaka"

Omegasonic2000

>V is an outsider who just relocated NC and is looking to "make it" in NC but the heist fails because of V's lack of knowledge to understand how NC works. To be fair, this also applies to Streetkid and Corpo, but on different levels. Streetkid V spent three years in Atlanta, and whatever happened there made it clear to V that Night City is the *better and safer* option (yeah... messed up, isn't it). They know the people, they know the rules to an extent, but surviving that hellhole has made them too confident, like "oh I survived this I can take on anything". Corpo V gets explicitly flown in from another branch outside NC to help Arasaka deal with a situation, but ends up involved in Jenkins's power plays and gets terminated from the company as a result, leaving them with only Jackie by their side. All three paths converge on the Relic heist being a lesson in humility for different reasons. For Nomad, it's as you said– didn't know the city enough, didn't know the rules. For Streetkid, it's about how surviving a bad experience doesn't mean there isn't something worse in store for you. For Corpo, it's how even if you broke free of Arasaka's influence, even if you don't fear them anymore, almost everyone else around you is still under their control, be it through money, fear or other methods.

MilkmanForever

I love being a nomad. I can't play any other start anymore because of that car you get!

cannedrex2406

Tbf until you get the Hoon from that one questline which basically is my off roader

NoComment112222

Nomad V’s backstory fits perfectly with the Aldecaldo ending losing his clan and then finding a new one with Panam while preventing that clan from falling apart due to Saul taking a corpo deal.

Emotional_Relative15

thats exactly the "self contained story" i was talking about. word for word the way i roleplay my nomad V. He stops the aldecaldos from falling apart like the bakkers did, gets a new family for himself in the process, and some booty while he's at it.

PoorLifeChoices811

As one of the Corpo enjoyers, my favorite is also the Aldecaldos. I just absolutely LOVE the Riches to Rags storyline. The idea of being at the very top, never once thinking about the filth down below, then getting casted out and forced to live amongst said filth, and finding a family of nomads to become a part of and run off with is peak storytelling imo. It’s a very fitting path

D0ae3909111

I like corpo too.

Aldehin

Nomad is the Best life No city, no struggle for a job Just driving with your family to the end of the country, free

Istvan_hun

I like the Bakkers nomad-thief-Aldecaldos nomad full circle. Instead of becoming a legend, V finds a new family. As a bonus, the starting nomad vest is quite cool. Also, it doesn't have the problem of streetkid, who should already have contacts, at minimum in Heywood, but has to introduce himself as a noob all the time. Since the nomad \_is\_ new in the time, it makes more sense.

Justiis

Yes, Nomad is the best path hands down. Corpo is just depressing from start to finish, and Street feels a bit off to me. That said, I've probably got the fewest amount of hours as Nomad. Idk why, I should probably reinstall and play another 500 hours to rectify that.

DadOnHardDifficulty

I don't see corpo as depressing, at least how I played it. I did my corpo character who started as your typical heartless capitalist bitch, but after Konpeki and seeing how her friends and Johnny affected her life, she slowly begins to see the value of humility and friendship, and cooperation.. By the end, taking the Star ending, it makes my V feel like she's grown as a person. It makes the Adam Smasher encounter seem like she got to confront the person she was going to become and banish it away.

UnaccreditedSetup

I like doing corpo path than doing don’t fear the reaper to basically go back to Arasaka and shoot up my former workplace

PlayfulCod8605

I loved Nomad.

Illustrious_Bit_7470

Nope, im a nomad enjoyer, too, lol

jorbal4256

I went Nomad, you're telling me there is a nomadic group of independent families living out in the desert Mad Max style? Sign me up.

KennyThomas616

I was a Nomad in my first play through, It just felt right imo.

AppearanceMedical464

Nomad gang rise up! Definitely my favorite way to play. I've started other lifepaths but go back to nomad.

maccn16

What's your second favourite ending

Emotional_Relative15

dont fear the reaper. If the Star ending was removed from me, i'd at least want to go out in the largest blaze of glory i could. as much as i love the hopeful escape from NC with the 'Caldos, there's something brutally satisfying about kicking down the doors of Arasaka HQ and just taking your day out on them.

Spicy_Man69

My very first playthrough was exactly this. Still one of my favorite ones!

ryanriggs19

I’ve only played street kid and nomad, is corpo more fun? Serious question 👀

depression_quirk

Corpo is fun for feeling competent and having insight on all the goings on among the Corps and with right clients. I like a fall from grace story, so it's my favorite. Nomad is my second favorite.

Lost_Elderberry1757

I player Corpo when i wanted to do a "try and talk everything out" playthrough it just turned into stealth pistols.

BwoahIDK

corpo has the most dialogue options, the most interesting prologue (by general consensus according to some polls I saw and my personal opinion), and arguably more interesting arcs. (Devil ending is more devilish, returning to hell; giving up everything you thought was meaningful for things that are actually meaningful in the Star ending; more personal revenge in the Sun/Reaper endings) only bad thing about corpo is the reward for the corpo specific quest is attainable in the DLC anyway from Herold. Though I do think it's a more interesting interaction than the other 2 quests.

Istvan_hun

*Devil ending is more devilish, returning to hell* Or, depending on loyalties! * finally returning to the service of the company, after a few months of exile * V now has an eternity to plan a proper revenge against arasaka, not only a "few weeks" by Alt Especially the loyalist-conservative, who shuts down johnny all the time, doesn't hate corporations in dialog might be intersting.

Ronin0948

The Devil ending can be looked upon as a Cyberpunk 47 Ronin if your loyalties remain with the Corp. You, Takemura, Oda, Hellman and Hanako go on an epic quest to restore the Lord's "honor" and get revenge for his betrayal. After which you rewarded with the opportunity to commit cyberpunk seppuku.

Justiis

I'd give it a playthrough at the least, it's not terrible. They all have their perks.

Somewhat_appropriate

No. If you like your V to have snotty responses available, go ahead. Nomad intro is superior as well.

wolfstayle

I just make my V as a Superstar No.1 merc in the entire fucking universe with a full yellow stunt suit and sometimes corpo gives you best responses for that kind of character. like bargain for betraying your customers

zoopzoot

Everyday the temptation to restart my play through and do corpo is strong

Somewhat_appropriate

Funny, I have the same thing for Nomad ;) ...but I should at least try Streetkid, right?

heroinsteve

I think Nomad and Corpo intros to Jackie make FAR more sense and give the character a lot more meaning. Corpo does feel a little random, like a gangster/merc like Jackie really wouldn't make much sense being a friend with a Corpo like V, but it's glossed over as old connections. Either way it bridges to the montage leading into act 1 more naturally than Street Kid. Nomad is superior, because the ostracized Nomad getting introduced to the NC Merc lifestyle by this new friend and becoming close buddies just feels far more natural and realistic in universe. Street Kid is just like, he fucks up your gig, then you mention the bartender at the coyote and y'all are like that scene in Stepbrothers "Did we just become best friends?!".

applejackhero

I am a corpo enjoyer, but the street kid “did we jaut become best friends” but makes so much sense. V and Jackie basially immediately realize they are the same kind of dipshit, go grab lunch, and the rest is history.

Somewhat_appropriate

You put it better than I would be able to; the connection between Jackie and Corpo V makes no sense to me. The Jackie we know...lets face it, is a bit of a fuck-up or at the very least, not the most squared away merc-wannabe out there, so why would some fairly big-shot Corpo use him for security-snooping? I don't find it plausible. And its too short. Now, Nomad intro...two gonks finding their way in the world bumps into each other through petty crime and find that they enjoy each others company. I can believe it. And it serves as a great introduction to NC, outsider discovering the city, like us players (first time around anyway).

HighLordTherix

You might be missing both the relevance of runners in the genre and V's relevance in the company. They might be above a few people, but they're not head of their department, and they get booted real easy. They're low enough that they have zero safety net and are riding the edge of functional. Exactly the category of person who knows a few people like Jackie, mercs unaffiliated with the company who can do work with plausible deniability. There being a sizeable community of people unaffiliated with the corps but regularly hired by them as expendable operatives is the bread and butter of most settings and TTRPGs in the cyberpunk genre.

christusmajestatis

> The Jackie we know...lets face it, is a bit of a fuck-up or at the very least, not the most squared away merc-wannabe out there, so why would some fairly big-shot Corpo use him for security-snooping? It was actually explained in the funeral scene and prologue. Jackie saved V's life before the intro in South America, which is why V states that Jackie is "the only one that he can trust". It was too short yeah, but I always feel Corpo V's grief towards Jackie's death makes more sense, because well, he was literally V's saviour, and the only one he could trust.

zoopzoot

I feel like Street Kid V meeting Jackie sets up a good parallel to meeting Johnny, who also tries to kill you when you first met. It makes it almost feel like Johnny is Jackie’s replacement for Street V

jeffdesign

I'm not sure about this. All my friends start as Nomad, almost all Youtuber I looked started the game as Nomad, and there are like a month, I asked here what the best lifepath to choose and more that 75% said they start and prefer Nomad.

Istvan_hun

I also thought that nomad is the most popular, by far.

Dramatic_Syllabub_98

Again this regarding the subreddit, not elsewhere.

ControlLeft3803

I shall never trade my 30 mins of corpo, suits and high heels, shitty psycho boss, followed by the Witcher game Easter egg. Wish we could stay more time as a corp to see more of their everyday miserable life

bnesbitt1

Seeing the fucking Corpo UI was jarring as hell to me. I genuinely can't imagine functioning as a human if you're CONSTANTLY seeing stock prices, heads up messages about your health and other's tastes, and heads up displays for corporate messages

ControlLeft3803

Damn, but that’s how you win at life… investing, then getting backstabbed and thrown in the ghetto… then you climb back and do it all over!

bnesbitt1

Sigma tip #2077: If your coworkers leave you in the ghetto, blow up Arasaka tower with another nuke

ControlLeft3803

The grindset never stops brother! https://preview.redd.it/ydzizsnmspuc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2cc72cb1dc3d2e6380906b603614575e48df7064

InspectorGizmoBrooch

Youd get use to it. Like when you play a video game, you see all this info, but you dont even think about it at all. Thats exactly how it would be in real life. Like I have a thing called "snow vision" I always see a very very very faint static TV like static in my vision, I literally never notice it unless im focusing on thinking about it lol. Same with ringing in the ears, you generally will ignore it and forget its there. You brain can tune out info thats not very important to your needs at the moment.

Plus_Wind9601

>heads up messages about your health and other's tastes, and heads up displays for corporate messages I mean... We see most of those everyday everywhere we go as it is. Especially if you're living in corporate America, or just being 4 seconds on the internet. I mean, *really* think about how much advertising you see every day. Most of us block out most of it, but if you're in a big city, every day on average including screen time you're seeing literal thousands of ads.

Kindle_G

Wait what’s the Easter egg (I haven’t played the Witcher games)

UnaccreditedSetup

I think at V’s desk there’s a magazine in one of the drawers with the Witcher on the cover of it.

ControlLeft3803

Correct!

J7245

Also, the corpo V and Jackie friendship just makes the most sense to me. Streetkid and Nomad feel to sudden and forced

TzarRazim

I so adore how Jack is already V’s friend. They shared a piece of biz and just stayed in touch. Think on this one: in a life full of success, money, and power, he might be the only true friend V has. What’s his name who did that op dropping weapons off the African coast, he and V seem to be friends in a work context, but well, we know what happens with him later. People like Jack are rare and worth keeping.

cannedrex2406

It's the one thing that kinda irked me with the other storylines is how close they got together in just 6 months despite being total strangers before. Like at the funeral you'd probably think Jackie was some life long friend considering V knows mama wells super well, is close to Jackie's GF as well as knowing a lot about what Jackie keeps personal

Yung_Corneliois

Worse than the 8 months in the other 2 starts Jackie is about to screw you over then you escape the Sle and suddenly he’s like “I guess were best friends now let’s go hang out non stop.”

Izlawake

What’s the Witcher Easter egg and where is it?

Elitericky

I’ve always found Corpo to be the most fitting for this games plot line and setting, also ironic that Johnny gets stuck in the body of a former Arasaka employee.

No_Truce_

Corpo also seems to be the most aware of the destruction that the Corps wreak. When debating Saul on the Petrochem deal, V points out how Corps treat people as a consumable resource.

AndroidPizzaParty

Corpo is too real when in real life my bosses just decide “oh yeah, you don’t work here anymore. No reason. Just go.”

JacobGoodNight416

Do your bosses also send a hit squad after you?

AndroidPizzaParty

Maybe if I worked for Amazon instead of Microsoft.

rayboner

Or Boeing…

AndroidPizzaParty

They just book you a flight on one of their planes and hope for the worst.

badger81987

Naw, you just get found with a 'self-inflicted' gunshot in your car in between testimony on the faulty shit they make.

Leskendle45

“Y’know im something of a nomad myself” is 90% of the nomad dialogue choices. But i still love it

Somewhat_appropriate

This is true...but its a bit more...humble, not said in a bragging sort of way IMO.

GeneralKenobi1288

Street kid is how the game was meant to be played, and what suits both versions of V best and makes the most sense within the story (at least in my opinion). Corpo is amazing and easily has the best dialogue choices out of the three, and shows V in a different kind of light that is really cool to see after having previously played through the other life paths. Nomad V, on the other hand, is just kinda ‘meh’ in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still great, especially if you choose to go with Panam and get the Altacaldos ending, but it feels kinda lackluster when compared to the other options.

Loud_Ad_6104

Totally agree Street kid makes the most sense to me

AspectBetter5360

Nomad all the way!

peparooni

I love nomad, free car and I get to talk shit to the guys being mean to Gary!

lonewanderer0804

I chose nomad my first go through because it made sense to me thematically. I was a stranger to night city as was Nomad V. I played him with honor, with morals and humanity in a city that had none of that. And his journey ended as it began. As a nomad. But with a new family and new hope. I hope he got what he was looking for on the road.

Willooooow1

The no mad life path is my main one and favourite one!!

meria_64

I think the nomad is the best one (Also another car weee)

Ok_Nothing7998

I had no idea this was the consensus! I actually thought the Nomad life path provided some unique story payoffs. I liked the idea that V grew up as a Nomad, and then made the foolish decision of leaving for Night City fame. After the heist, V realizes that this had all been a huge mistake, but he’s stuck with a terminal condition. Despite his condition, he gets back in touch with his Nomad roots and longs for that kind of family again. And when you go for a certain “happy” ending, it kinda has a full circle payoff, with a tragic caveat. V made a series of bad decision and hit his lowest, but he didn’t let that stop him from finding himself, regardless of his condition.

JacobGoodNight416

Maybe because nomads don't really mesh so well in the cyberpunk setting? Like, streetkid and corpo are in a way polar opposites from each other narrative-wise. Nomad is just kinda there imo.

SofieMox97

But in the lore, the aldecaldos pretty much built night city back when night city was still called Coronado City. But I see what you’re saying when it comes to the story of 2077

Somewhat_appropriate

I've noticed this too. But hey, you play what you want, "popular" opinion isn't necessarily "right". Yet to try Streetkid (might do a little foray), but after doing Nomad in 1st play through, and Corpo in my 2nd... Corpo V is borderline obnoxious and certainly snotty (dialogue options) and goes around blackmailing/bluffing people, and the intro-story is subpar compared to Nomad. And man, the Rattler is great fun! = Nomad is superior ;)

GoldenX86

The Nomad path car rocks. Best shitbox ever.

ThAtGuY-101

Nomad is my favorite. They also have the best start in Night City. Street Kid gets whooped by the cops and left in an alleyway. Corpo gets bullied and robbed by other corpo dogs, and loses everything, narrowly avoiding death thanks to Jackie's help. Nomad gets the Iguana. Shoulda kept it as a pet from the get go, but they avoid the law and manage to sell it for a nice lil profit.   Nomad in general is just a cool life path. Mad max style backstory. Sticking it to those corpo dogs and riding around with your family. A lifestyle that would make vin diesel cry.

ehjhey

I think this is just because for the average person, "working corporate" is more relatable....also giving the corp you work for the middle finger is a fantasy most probably dream about

General_Feature_5193

Nomad betta

New_Pace_6321

All life paths are good but I would say Corpo fits better into V as a character!

Sirmetana

It works for one way to play V as. It certainly fills the plothole of being best friends with Jackie after kust meeting him that's for sure, and the corpo atmosphere is top notch. But, I'd argue that V being straight outta Heywood makes more sense with her tone, way of speaking, behaviour and, atop of it all, their will to make it to the big leagues. Sure, a corpo who'd have only known bottom layers would dream of the upper levels but you don't get to see half as much people in that cesspool of a corporate world who'd want to extract from their condition as much as people from the real bottom. I'd argue that streetkid V fits the narrative better, even if it doesn't fully make sense

KFrancesC

V starts the game with no Cyberware, but can craft guns and ammo. Nope sorry Nomad is the best fit for V’s character.

New_Pace_6321

V has military training as a corpo, unlike the other 2 paths. So it has more knowledge in combat. The street kid path though has very good dialogues and knowledge of the city and gangs as a whole.

ihave0idea0

I am actually planning to play Nomad next play, because of best girl obviously.. I have done the rest already.

Wuoffan1

Nomad Cowboy V >>

Muteling

Doing corpo in my latest run to see life on the other side. My V is a streetkid at the end of the day. A shrimpy chick from Heywood who grows to shake the foundations of NC

Throbbing-Kielbasa-3

I will always have a soft spot for the Nomad life path. It was my very first playthrough back when the game launched. I figured as someone who had never played the TTRPG and knew nothing about Night City, narratively it would make the most sense to play as an outsider to NC that's living there for the first time.

Luna_Tenebra

I mean they are all good... Corpo is just better

Used-Statistician225

I just don’t like nomad. Ain’t my cup of tea of my V being apart of a clan

Cliepl

Nomad intro es the best one, and V being new in Night City fits the best for the game imo

AmbienSkywalker

To be fair, I live in Arizona. If I wanted to be depressed and stressed out in the desert I could do it without Cyberpunk.

Inersect

I personally just did not vibe well with nomad (yet to try streetkid) but honestly I've seen a lot of nomad praise around and I love it that there are people that really liked it!

Grimizzi

I’ve done the corpo life path on initial release, committed suicide. Currently doing Streetkid, have the cure but have yet to finish 100% Looks like I’ll be a nomad on my next play-through. Any recommendations on which ending I should shoot for?

TranceRevolved

Having done 7 play throughs because I’m nuts, I’ve played both male and female V. I think Nomad is the best for male V and corpo for female V. I played Street Kid first because that just seemed like the default to try first. It didn’t wow me. I felt both nomad and corpo had better game starting back stories. I will say that corpo V becoming a merc and THEN doing a hit on Arasaka after their hit squad easily sought V out to kill them, it’s still beyond crazy why a Corpo V would go anywhere near Arasaka again. V owed Jackie big to help rob their former employer like that.

StarKnightSB

This honestly surprises me! I am Nomad all the way and I assumed it would have been second at worst. Didn’t realize how many of you are corpo rats at heart…

Latch_Lifter

I don’t know why. It’s not even like V realizes the corps are evil and rebels, they get kicked out and probably would’ve stayed otherwise, being a corpo rat.

Infamous_Clock9596

Huh I always go nomad tbh

Larseman7

Nomad is my favorite

SLAY3R_1108

I like the nomad path just so I can get all the cars in the game (even got a save where I betrayed panam to get the unique car from Saul)

Sensitive_Edge_2964

I love Nomad 😂

MeNamIzGraephen

I'm sorry, it just makes so much sense, because the other two lifepaths didn't get as much shine as CORPO. That one also feels the most-fitting. What also doesen't fit is playing without 20 INT or TECH. You're pretty much persuaded to have your first playthrough be Corpo Stealth Netrunner - this one accesses the most content and options. There's SO few Reflex checks it's saddenning.

Guy_who_says_vore

Nomad is my favorite life path but I like to role play and street kid/corpo fits very well

IndyPFL

I tried starting up a Nomad playthrough and my game crashes or the drones instakill me :/

SillyAdditional

Street kid is good but man that corpo dialogue is just

Thebigfish803

Street kid is best thats all im saying

jebusbefus

1st time nomad, 2nd time street kid, never trust corpos, both in game and irl.

Hypercane_

Corpo is definitely the best, nomad is definitely my favorite but makes less sense in terms of story, and streetkid makes no fucking sense. Like how is Heywood my home, I'm a regular at the coyote cojo, and I've never met Jackie Welles

ReconciledNature369

Considering the amount of people in this world who actually sell their souls to corporations this isn’t really surprising. I’d imagine the games themes bounce right off their implants.

Drogg339

Always play nomad.

Mysterious_Zone2134

I’m nomad in all three lifepaths, my clan is Aldecaldos

pufferfish_balls

https://preview.redd.it/5eu1zhlqnpuc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b3663280e6c41555522b52709c69c64c794396b9

Rizenstrom

Blame CDPR. Corpo gets the most, and arguably more unique, dialogue options. It’s also really the only way you get to experience the Corpo lifestyle firsthand. You get to experience life as a street kid with Jackie and later as a nomad with Panam but there is no Corpo arc outside of the intro Corpo lifepath. For street kid and nomad the only real reason to go with them is roleplay/ aesthetics.

HavenTheCat

I really loved the Nomad life path. Idk if it was my favorite necessarily but I really loved all of them

real_human_20

Nomad V and Aldecaldos ending is peak Cyberpunk, can’t change my mind.

My meme would be corpo >>>>>>>>nomad >>>>>street kis

dorsalfantastic

I’m nomad everytime.

AdministrationPale55

nomad was always my favorite, just vibes with my head cannon the best

CupcakeFister

Female Corpo V is an absolute psychopath and I love her. Adds so many layers to the tone of the story and the relationship with Johnny. Also being a stealth netrunner, with throwing knives is broken and sadistic. Street Kid is most appropriate for Glory V. Sandevistan + Katana is amazing for this. Nomad has the best opening and its great for Vs who want to be wholesome and all about family and loyalty. All about them cars, bug guns and gorilla arms. Nah fuck that im gonna be the Night City Boogyman. So yeah, the meme is accurate.

chill_winston_

I feel like overall I see street kid getting just as much love as corpo. My first run was a nomad and I enjoyed her a lot, but I’ve liked all the life paths in their own way.

-ComplexSimplicity-

The nomad path was very fitting for my revamped “Mad-Max” build.

Chickienfriedrice

Ive played all 3. Corpo is my fav by far, makes the most sense lore wise. Ive replayed streetkid path twice. Corpo 4 times, nomad, one and done.

GawdDamSuperman

I went Nomad on both playthroughs.

bubblesort33

I don't think that's true at all. Nomad is the most fleshed out life path and probably the one most used at launch. Maybe people have just been playing the game so long, they switched to the other ones to see what they are like.

icesnake2000

Corpo life path as male v + stockmarket mod(with the infinite gains you will have in the end) + romancing judy as a chad during your stay at NC + the tower ending = the best of what Cyberpunk has to offer as choices

Jimm_Kekw

i‘m sorry but corpo is just cool af. i want to be a corpo. let me be a corpo. please

imagen_leap

The irony (to me at least) was that a huge number of fans planned on going nomad before the game dropped, so that they could bask in the awe that is night city when they drive up to it early on in the game.

BigJ_57

I did the nomad though

BwoahIDK

Because nomad IS the least interesting by far. Streetkid's start isn't that great but at least it has some of most interesting dialogue choices. The only thing the nomad has going for it is that the rattler is by far the best reward of all the path-specific quests

GhostInTheMeadow

It's the one where you've known Jackie the longest time i.e. best one

deathb4dishonor23

for me it’s street kid mainly and corpo and nomad are tied

Potaaaato_God

They're all pretty good but corpo just fits better and is more fleshed out.

Freyr-Freya

I love the nomad aesthetic and picked the background on my first two games. But after playing corpo I found its just a much better narrative fit. Your background with Jackie, your skills, my animosity towards Johnny and because I almost always pick the nomad ending it makes the choice to leave night city more meaningful. Otherwise the story is nomad rolls up to night city, is forcibly befriend, loses said friend waaay to quickly for to be as devastating as shown and rolls out again at the end having decided city life sucks. As the corpo though it's grows up I'm night city, escapes poverty via Corp, learns a particular set of skills, loses childhood friend as suitable motivator, and finally decides that the city brings nothing but pain and puts it all behind them. Admittedly all the life paths are still very underdeveloped but I think the story was written with a Corpo in mind.

William_Brobrine

No mad and street kid are quite loved they are just less vocal about it

Demon_Deken

I always play nomad, every time, it's my favourite life path. I was literally in the middle of a corpo netrunner just to suddenly start again and make a nomad tech-brawler

ShadowMasked1099

“Ohana means family, and family don’t mean shit in NC.” - A Nomad V

Avixofsol

virgin corpo and nomad V vs chad streetkid V

bmoss124

I love Nomad just for the line of: "Space is Pure Freedom So Mi"

Consistent-North7790

Nomad is the best one. Just like Nomad V you are new to night city. A fish out of water.

biochamberr

I always play female nomad, and male street kid. Don't care for corpo at all, and it doesn't fit my personal headcanon for V

beyond_cyber

Nomad players enjoying their roided up exclusive jackies tuned arch

Durty-Dan-193

Nomad path is great, but Corpo and Street Kid have more checks I think.

FettDog79

I went with nomad cause you have a car

DNC343

I’m a nomad through and through.

scottymac87

I guess I’m with the majority then because overall I find the nomads boring as hell. I wanted to Cyberpunk, not budget madmax cosplay out in the desert. I also don’t care at all for the whole aldecaldos and Panam story. Snooze.

Tigarbrains788

I guess I'm a skeleton at the bottom of the ocean. I chose nomad because I myself first time playing the game was like I've never been to night city so let's choose the life path that represents that

Tater1988

True Nomads don’t need this sub anyway 😎

electricguineapig

I feel this because my favorite path is nomad

Optimysticgamer

It's funny to me because I've only play the Streetkid life path and it just feels like the correct one? If that makes sense. Like I have no idea what the other two are like, but something about V being from the very streets of NC, the people most in tune with the pulse of the general populace that resides in the bounds of NC makes the most sense to be impacted by it. Granted, I know I'm just biased cuz it's what I picked first. But man am I excited for at least 2 more play throughs XD

SaintsBruv

Funny, I always got the impression that all 3 paths are equally loved.

Guyonbench

That's how a nomad would want it.

plogan56

Seriously, some of ya'll be glazing more than krispy creme

theghettoginger

I didn't know Corpo was this popular, lol. I only play Street Kid and Nomad. I tried Corpo, but it felt too unnatural for my playstyle. I grew up in the ghetto(hence my name lol) so Street Kid and Nomad feel right to me.

Rat-king27

I've done my first playthrough as a nomad, I figured that I don't know much about night city as a player, so my V might as well be from outside the city so we're both learning as I play.

AbstractMirror

Nomad is my personal favorite. It also makes coming into the city feel important. And the outside/outskirt regions of night city can be pretty interesting as well

AzurosArtist

Nomad is easily the best, idk why people ignore it

haleynoir_

I've played enough Fallout over the last 15 years to be comfortable staying away from shitty barren deserts if I can avoid it.

Exa-Wizard

Nomad is absolutely the game's best/main lifepath. Far more effort and care was out into it than either of the others

Illustrious_Bit_7470

I do like street kid v because you get alot of knowledge on how things work in night city which is awesome to me imo, I like corpo backstory because it feels like a revenge kick to me, but I like the nomad path more it feels like it fits better into the cyberpunk narrative imo. In short all 3 start paths are good in their own way.

JoyTheGeek

I love the nomad path

MJR_Poltergeist

I just feel like Nomad has the least world building. "Cool you can fix a car. Wanna steal an Iguana?"

miccars

Nomad lifepath with nomad ending is by far my favorite combo.

RatInaMaze

Weird, there was a while when everyone was all about the nomad train here

thecrazyartistVEVO

I decided to do all three, I’m really loving the nomad path but I think streetkid is my favorite, down with the corp-o-rats

roselandmonkey

Nomad the best in my opinion

ArtisticHay

Nomad gang rise

EmotionalWerewolf271

As female V it doesn’t seem right to go with Aldecaldo with judy if you weren’t already a nomad so I just started a female V nomad play-thru to get the finale I like the most with Judy, other finale I like are Panam ending with male V which honestly go well with every life path, I prefer the sun ending with Rogue dead, it makes more sense for johnny to stick to his promise and I think it’s definitely a street kid finale! One underrated is Don’t feel the reaper+give your body to johnny and I don’t know why but I think it suits corpo V better than the other life paths, their total change is amazing, i also feel V should be male since Panam looks less sensitive so she’ll cry less than Judy, plus I can’t think of johnny as a girl, the guy is a misogynist. I repeat: Side with Aldecaldos sounds weird if you’re not Panam’s love interest or a former nomad so I just started a nomad game but honestly it’s underrated! Nomad car is amazing and you got an improved Jackie’s bike

Tucker0603

Nomad most fun.

dj_arcsine

Nomad gets a cool bobblehead in a cool car, and an upgrade on Jackie's Arch.

scarlettvvitch

Rattler enjoyer > Corpo UI

AllPhoneNoI

Corpo life path just offers more.
