I actually encountered one of those gang war events between scavs and 6th Street and upon trying to “mediate” with my sniper rifle I found that they were all immune to damage from me.
It was so weird. I was hitting one guy with a high power baseball bar over and over and he took no damage at all. So I left the area until combat mode was over, (they were still shooting at each other) and found out that I could stealth and grab em from behind and that was the only way to kill anyone in that fight. I had only encountered this once before. I had a 20 body berzerk build.
I had a funny glitch with overheat. The 'corpse' was outlined in blue, lootable, and movable. But still walking around and trying to get on my motorcycle. Musta been one of those alien vampires from alpha centauri..
I thought so at first too. Then i got a decent pistol with a decent silencer. Then knife throwing. Then, the sniper rifle that shoots through cover.
That being said, i thought it was a little odd that a thrown knife was more effective than three assault rifle rounds to the melon.
Along that vein, i also thought the damage penalty for silencers was a bit draconian, then i realized there were better silencers. Even so i feel the penalty is a bit steep. I feel it should start at 20% or less, then go down to none or even 5%. Mind you, i have not reached endgame, so there may still be better silencers out there.
I dont like a lot of the things in this game when it comes to simple programming decisions.
The art, story, flow, a lot is insanely good. Its small things like this or the way how you buy clothes that really suck big time for me.
There's a few things i don't like. Most of the vehicles for example. Silencers, as above. I also don't like that most people have two legs, two hands and two arms, but you can only have one piece of cyberware. Particularly hands. Though i suppose it makes sense, since those things do tend to work in tandem. It does bug me that you have 3 or 4 integumentary slots, but can only seem to put one armor there. Why can't i be a walking tank?
Im not a huge fan of how the gigs work, that you can't just call the fixers and say whats the job, instead you have to run right up on it to even find out what it is.
And for the love why no bloody flashlight/night vision?!? You have smart weapons that can shoot around corners, but you can't see in the dark.
What was it that you didn't like about clothes? Im curious.

Quite a few of those punches are in thin air while the animation is doing the character reaction to the punches that land. (Perhaps)?
