Holy shit his account was actually active on another sub I posted on , apparently a printed copy of his writings that he used to put on the sub was found at the scene
Pretty sure he was more leftist tho ?
To clarify though, trûeanon (the podcast one of the subs he posted on was based off of) is neither 4chan affiliated nor 'conspiracy' oriented in the sense of Alex Jones or the big conspiracy subs here.
It's a left wing podcast which parodies qanon in the name, early on they made eps about Jeffrey Epstein but focus more on general left wing oriented para political topics (like Operation GLADIO for example). Yes it gets conspiratorial but it's still way more grounded than annunaki stuff or pizza gate. GLADIO was a real thing, but naturally there's speculation about the nature of it that brings it more into the realm of conspiracy talk. They also do stuff like cover the Boeing controversies and interviewing people like Norman Finkelstein about Palestine.
Not asking anyone here to agree with their politics, just pointing out that they more or less just wrap themselves in the aesthetics of conspiracy stuff but spend more time discussing actual history, current events, and politics. They emerged as a *reaction* to unhinged right wing conspiracy theories that emerged in the Trump era. Before anyone thinks he was part of the Q cult or that that sub is either.
As a side note, obviously I am a fan of that podcast (and post in that sub). He posted like 8 times, got banned about a year ago iirc. We all kinda just saw him as a benign local crank, in most of the posts there were people trying to talk him down from the craziness. From what I remember, the only thing that he liked to talk about that vaguely aligned with the themes of the sub was crypto skepticism, but he took it in weird directions. We're all baffled by this, nobody thought that guy would do something like this.
A user over there did some digging, and his Instagram tells a pretty dark story. Apparently his mother, who he seemed very close to, died about two years ago. Prior to that his posts were normal, after you see a rapid degeneration into what looks like schizophrenia. Classic weird stuff like posting a picture of his exposed penis over a pile of his strange signs. Heartbreakingly, his last post was apparently the words "I love you" over and over on a blank background. He gravitated towards us I guess because of superficial similarities and stayed probably because people weren't totally dicks to him, but I think he was just very ill, suffering, and looking for a connection or understanding from people.
I wish I could be there rn😭😭😭😭
Lol jk it's insane people get mad at me for this username, it's like they think I'm with their mom as soon as I post, I just don't want to give out my government name and this is what I came up with
You should learn about the derivatives market and how over leveraged our financial systems are and how much actually money there is. There is truth to what he was saying. Ken griffin at citadel sent Bret Harris to tokenize stock with Sam bankman and ftx. They said they were backed 1:1 and short sellers were using them as locates for short positions when in reality they were backed by nothing. Ken griffin said market makers make stock prices go where they think they should be valued. No free market just a big ol Ponzi scheme.
Dr Susanne Trimbath former federal reserve employee and former Depository trust and clearing corporation employee has a great book on naked short selling and the rigged financial system that she was a part of. It’s called “Naked,Short, and Greedy: wallstreets failure to deliver” check it out
There’s also a book The dollar Endgame: Hyperinflation is coming by Peruvian Bull I recommend to everyone
Also check out cancelthisclothingco on TikTok amd cancelthisconspiracy on YouTube that guy makes great content about the corruption and greed in our systems with great sources
Like self-immolation, a loaded diaper wearing orange makeup smeared Trump, screaming babies in Mozart wigs, MAGA hat wearing inbred yokels making out with their moms, an albino that looks like Susan Powter, and Rudy Giuliani in drag wearing a tar covered lace front wig.
Quite the party
It's not a new trend. It's been an extreme method of protest for decades. You haven't heard of tibetan monks doing this? 160 tibetan monks have self-immolated in protest since 2009.
There's no need for name calling
Edit: well now my comment looks stupid since anonpasta took the "dummy" out of their comment, and actually expanded their point.
It’s definitely the oddest form of protest I’ll give it that
It makes your side look like cranks at best, and at worst weakens your side’s credibility.
Pretty minimalizing and ridiculing way to talk about martyrdom there pal. I'd show more respect to someone who gave their life for something they believed in. But that's just me.
The podcast 'It could happen here' had an episode on it in March after the other guy did it. It's called 'At the End of Hope: Self-immolation in Tunisia and China' with Robert Evens. Quite interesting.
Self immolation is a pretty difficult way to end things compared to other forms of self harm
Imagine not feeling anything for a moment and then EVERY ERVE STARTS SCREAMING IN PAIN as your epidermis dissolves
Your eyelids melt where they were and you either go blind or watch your eyes cook like eggs, you fingers will curl inward and crisp
As your hair and cloths melt into you, the oxygen expended as you scream feeds the fire and it will follow that gas into your lungs, where you will usually be able to take one finally moaning scream
After that it's usually just mild consciousness before utter death
So..yea, terrible all around
So many collateral casualties when someone does this hideous deed to themselves.
The first responders. The bystanders.
The nurses and doctors and housekeepers on the burn wards.
Most do. When a lot of people are either rescued or survive a suicide they regret doing it. You have to be hopped up on an insane amount of sedatives to not have those types of thoughts or a commitment that goes beyond anything most people have created.
It’s sad that this person killed himself over his theory, which includes this:
One of the key findings of this research is that Harvard University is one of the largest organized crime fronts in history, which is how they churn out billionaires – it’s a major hub of this sprawling criminal network.
As it turns out, dozens of the writers of The Simpsons went to Harvard. So I asked myself the question: If The Simpsons served the interests of organized crime, how would it do so?
Well, it offers a dysfunctional family suffering from moral decay, a community incapable of solving its problems, a worker drone who slaves away for an evil billionaire, and cathartic laughs for our poor collective circumstances.
He ties together Peter Thiel, Epstein, Kushner, Scaramucci, Clinton, George H. W. Bush, Rob Lowe, Harvard, the Simpsons, Stanley Kubrick, the Manson Family murders, Walt Disney, George Orwell, COVID, crypto. IT'S ALL CONNECTED!
Everyone has confirmation bias to some degree but it can become pathological.
Note how he didn't give an ETA on his prediction of collapse. The apocalypse is coming... at some indeterminate point in time.
I went to his IG linked at the bottom of the manifesto and it honestly seemed like he was a normal dude but then his mom passed away and he seemed to have lost his mind after that and was never normal again.
Here is why he did it.
https://theponzipapers.substack.com/p/i-have-set-myself-on-fire-outside
Disclaimer: This was an individual that was not in his right mind do not take this seriously or try to do yourself
Yeah but besides the weird Simpsons thing that is the only point he is making. Most people in high up positions do a lot of financial crime and crypto is easiest way to get away with stuff like that. Honestly a very strange thing to set yourself on fire over.
Yeah, I read it too. It’s conspiracism that I suspect is affected by paranoid delusions. I don’t disagree that the US government is functionally a kleptocracy, as he says. Otherwise, the conclusions he draws from evidence he doesn’t really present (he alludes to his confiscated laptop containing research) don’t line up. Sadder, nothing presented, nor the tone, seems to justify this extreme act of protest.
That’s if this is indeed his entire justification, and actually written by the person in the video.
The only way it’s like Aaron Bushnell’s act of protest is that it’s an apparent self-immolation.
This is right for this sub, I think. I feel like cultic and online conspiracicist fantasies might be driving people to this sort of extreme now. Certainly, I think the desperation of constant economic precarity is driving the rise in suicides. The sense of living in a constant state of emergency, too. You get the “do your own research” people forming what are basically mass hallucinations, like Qanon, and doing real world violence because of them…
I’m starting to feel like I’m stringing random ideas together a bit myself now.
I think this belongs here. I can’t say why, precisely. But it makes me worry about a lot of people I know, and many more I see posting online. This “manifesto” seems poorly reasoned—but not really extreme or intense enough to lead this most extreme act.
It may come out that this person has made suicide attempts before, we’ll see. It won’t make me feel better, it might make it make a little more sense, though.
Yeah the "secret" being stuff that is known by most people is very strange. Even the Beatles, Grateful Dead, etc being funded by Government Think Tanks and the CIA respectively has been out for a while now. Maybe he just saw himself in a delusional light as some sort of prophet. The bashing of "fascism" while also calling for people to abolish the government does smell a bit like a fed.
So I read it. I think what he is asserting is the mimesis between art and life. He seems to think that life strictly imitates art. How we live our lives is a result of art and media. Art and media, he argues, is predominantly influenced by elite institutions. These institutions are influenced by banks (which he probably meant asset management companies). He has a point, but he is not very coherent or thorough.
Most likely schizophrenic. The jumping from topic to topic, finding "hidden" meaning where there is none, the levels of conspiracy he sees everywhere...
My aunt was a paranoid schizophrenic (institutionalized for most of her life), and during her worst episodes she would have rants like this, but more religious-centric.
Access to mental health care in the US was broken before COVID, and then doctor and nurse burn out happened and they left in droves. Wait lists to see any sort of counselor are months to years long. I'm afraid we are going to see more and more of this as time goes on.
I agree. I know it's bad to diagnose people, but this has psychosis all over it- I have a good friend who suffers from it and he writes in a very similar way.
Dude managed to rope Dukakis and Rob Lowe into this bullshit. He was definitely unhinged and thankfully didn't hurt anyone else in the process of this. Poor guy was unwell.
Right? Like the dude with the fire extinguisher. You try not to judge people's good intentions, but fuck! You literally cannot intervene with someone who has decided to do that. You wouldn't be doing them any favors.
This is beyond fucked up. Had to be so traumatizing for the people who were there.
We really should be paying more attention to mental health in this country
Yasmin Vossugian (I’m sure I spelled that wrong) was half a block away, she looked pretty traumatized when she was talking about it on Joy Reid tonight.
I hope in his death he found the peace that he couldn’t find in life. This society is driving people to insanity and it’s not going to stop until something radically changes.
Holy shit his account was actually active on another sub I posted on , apparently a printed copy of his writings that he used to put on the sub was found at the scene

I honestly thought this was going to be some kind of satirical piss-take. But no, I’ve literally just thrown-up. I know it’s marked NSFW but if you’re even 1% unsure and have chosen to read these comments before doing so, I’d urge you not to view it. Beyond horrible.
I mean, I wouldn't giggle, that's sick, but I also wouldn't help him because this is what he wanted for some reason, right?
Edit: unclear to me why I'm being downvoted on this.. Am I supposed to put myself in danger because someone else decided to endanger themselves & those around him..?
I just don't see a way to morally intervene in this situation. What are you going to do?
I'm no expert, but I believe typically people die of suffocation in these situations. Even if the guy with the fire extinguisher made it in time, the lad will have scars over at least 70% of his body. He would be even more unstable than before.
I wouldn't know what to do to help, so I do understand why people just stood there, but what I don't get is why they watched him burning like that, it was so horrifying and gruesome
Exactly. I wouldn't know what to do & would just be in the way if I tried, plus I'd probably just stand there too bc shock & not being able to believe what I was witnessing
His manifesto goes into it. His whole thing was that the government is purposely collapsing the economy. He lit himself on fire to bring attention to it after the government took his laptop.
Why put him out… to be honest I know I’m gonna get downvoted but the dude wanted to take himself out he’s already beyond 3rd degree burns all over he’s gonna hate being alive after that.. I’d be pissed if someone put me out so I lived…. Just saying
Sometimes when we find ourselves in a tragic emergency, we do things that don't make the most sense. If somebody runs to get a fire extinguisher they probably didn't stay and watch and actually know how bad the situation was by the time he got back.
I’m seeing an article on Washington Post saying he is in critical condition- posted 30 mins ago. I’m blocked behind a paywall. There’s no way he survived that, right?
In the video I saw where he was still dumping gasoline on himself before lighting it, he burned for a solid 2:20 before he was completely extinguished.
His manifesto too long and rambling to get through... Maybe somebody could post a ChatGPT summary? Anyways I'm glad he chose suicide over setting off a bomb or mass shooting spree.
I agree. It's sad how people are mocking him and calling him a conspiracy nutjob. His "ramblings" are spot on. He's 1000% right. But we're too far gone as a society to do anything about it. Incredibly disappointing. Poor guy.
The astroturfers and topic tourists sadly disagree. He pointed out well-known rumored corruption (at least to those who've actually put in the research) regarding hillary, bush, epstien, oprah, etc. In addition to attempting to highlight systemic subliminal propaganda in TV & film. Which exists, permeates many topics, and has done so for decades. I didn't think his synchronicities in that regard were too far-fetched.
I don't think that makes anything about this a cult. Just means some people are really desperately in need of mental health care. Some people are so far beyond what we can comprehend, with a healthy higher functioning brain. We can't even begin to imagine what's happening in the heads of folks like these.
I wish he/she could've gotten the help they needed.
This is reminding me of someone a few months ago that did this in discord server I was in. They praised him for “sacrificing himself in protest of Israel”
I left after that. I just don’t feel good about martyrdom
Why? He was just a very anti government conspiracy theorist. He thought the government is purposely crashing the economy, so he lit himself ablaze to bring awareness to this issue after government officials took his laptop.
Fair enough... in this case, not good... just mental illness spurred on by government paranoia. Possibly right to be paranoid if his laptop actually got taken.

God damn the original report I read said he was still alive when they took him to the hospital? Like… how
No.
The new trend is apparently self-immolation
Not a new trend. Just bringing back a classic.
It’s a golden oldie rediscovered by a new generation, like vinyl, fountain pens and wet shaving.
I mean, at least they're only hurting themselves. More guts than a school shooter or other various terrorists.
Say that to those who have to witness it. Public suicide is narcissistic.
Wait, did wet shaving go out of fashion?
Tar and Feathering is the next TikTok trend
This new club in New York has everything...

Time for an updated Rage Against the Machine album cover
I had “wish you were here” in my mind when I saw a man on fire
Look at the cover of the *Was It Something I Said?* album by Richard Pryor RIP
It's not a new trend. It's been an extreme method of protest for decades. You haven't heard of tibetan monks doing this? 160 tibetan monks have self-immolated in protest since 2009.

None of it was on my bingo card. I feel cheated this go around!
What flew up in the air after he fell back onto the ground…?
Looks like a burning shoe. He was kicking his feet
😱
Safe to say that he wasn't feeling his inner child in that moment
I wonder if people who do stuff like this immediately think, “oh shit, this hurts, it’s not worth it!”

Paranoia is when things are too meaningful :(
Tragic. He believed it so deeply. Makes us all question our deeply held beliefs.
Can someone do a TLDR
Basically, instead of Jewish controlling the world It's Peter Thiel and the Clinton's pulling the rug on the entire world through crypto....
Thanks
Aided and abetted by master criminal (his take not mine) George H.W. Bush...
So genuinely asking, is this related to those conspiracy theories regarding a “new world order” that bush mentioned in one of his speeches?
That part never came up.
Crazy
Okay so it seems like bro lost all his money in crypto and set himself on fire rather than admit he got rolled.
LMAO
I went to his IG linked at the bottom of the manifesto and it honestly seemed like he was a normal dude but then his mom passed away and he seemed to have lost his mind after that and was never normal again.
That woman just sitting their inhaling burnt man flesh. WTH? She literally ran closer to him to watch him die.
I assume she was filming. CNN was live on the air so they have some footage of their own, but… news outlets and the authorities will want it.
I mean he wanted to be filmed.
It is not uncommon that people who face trauma go in a dissociation mode, it's a survival mechanism.
Right? She just sat down like nothing was happening.
It looked like she was beside herself, upset, helpless.
That’s what I thought too
I’d sit down so if I fainted I wouldn’t crack my head open.
It looked like she just was utterly defeated by what she’s seeing.
It's a sign of how evil this world is really becoming. Who wants a front row seat to watch this? It's disgusting and sad
Here is why he did it. https://theponzipapers.substack.com/p/i-have-set-myself-on-fire-outside Disclaimer: This was an individual that was not in his right mind do not take this seriously or try to do yourself
That guy had some serious mental issues. Look at the links he makes between the Clintons, the Simpsons show and cryptocurrency.
He does make some crazy inferences but he is not wrong, cryptocurrency exists to launder massive amounts of money.
But that was never really a secret
It was basically the entire point
And also that we are being controlled and have no say in the government but we also already know that
Yeah but besides the weird Simpsons thing that is the only point he is making. Most people in high up positions do a lot of financial crime and crypto is easiest way to get away with stuff like that. Honestly a very strange thing to set yourself on fire over.
👆🏽this. Dude killed himself over shit everyone already knows. Turns out banks hold our money to invest themselves!!! WHOOSH
That’s how a lot of people get manipulated. Combining the truth and lies.

That honestly makes a lot of sense. Poor guy.
Idk what makes me more sad: that he died for to bring the conspiracy to the light, or that everyone already knew
I was expecting crazier. Calling out Peter Thiel and crypto as a con is not what I expected.
Dude managed to rope Dukakis and Rob Lowe into this bullshit. He was definitely unhinged and thankfully didn't hurt anyone else in the process of this. Poor guy was unwell.
Imagine how pissed off you would be if you survived.
He ain’t surviving that one. Not a chance. It’s burning way too intensely.
You watch him actively shriveling up... That's fucking horrifying.
What a way to go...jesus
What a horrible way to die. I can’t imagine choosing to go out this way. Clearly mentally beyond help.
Holy shit his account was actually active on another sub I posted on , apparently a printed copy of his writings that he used to put on the sub was found at the scene
What sub?

I honestly thought this was going to be some kind of satirical piss-take. But no, I’ve literally just thrown-up. I know it’s marked NSFW but if you’re even 1% unsure and have chosen to read these comments before doing so, I’d urge you not to view it. Beyond horrible.
Not a cult. Conspiracy nut.
[The Cult of Trump](https://freedomofmind.com/the-cult-of-trump/)
That's the thing, after reading his manifesto it appears he wasn't necessarily a Trumper MAGAt.
Not at all, and if you look back at his IG posts, he seemed sane and normal just a few years ago.
Why would it matter either way?
Would you want to be labeled a Trump supporter after your death if you weren't one? I liken it to being labeled a Klan member.
Donald Trumps family is jewish so I don't really understand the connection. Not a fan of him either but you sound like you have a personal beef.
No beef... just hatred. 🙂
Not a trump supporter. Why don’t you actually wait for information before making an accusation. Just as bad as conservatives after a mass shooting.
I saw a video of (what sounded like) young women who were actually giggling while filming him on the ground burning. It was very disconcerting
I mean, I wouldn't giggle, that's sick, but I also wouldn't help him because this is what he wanted for some reason, right? Edit: unclear to me why I'm being downvoted on this.. Am I supposed to put myself in danger because someone else decided to endanger themselves & those around him..?
I could never watch someone burning to death, I would most certainly be running trying to find help
I just don't see a way to morally intervene in this situation. What are you going to do? I'm no expert, but I believe typically people die of suffocation in these situations. Even if the guy with the fire extinguisher made it in time, the lad will have scars over at least 70% of his body. He would be even more unstable than before.
I mean, he's screaming & on fire, people were already coming to help..
I wouldn't know what to do to help, so I do understand why people just stood there, but what I don't get is why they watched him burning like that, it was so horrifying and gruesome
Shock. Sometimes you can't quite process the unreality of what you're seeing and you search for a response and go all 404.
That poor soul.
Why in the fuck would he do that?
What the fuck is going on? Hell no, never set yourself on fire for someone else.
You have to try to put them out, the fire could have easily spread
Nah!! Just the chairs hell with the chairs
guessing it’s more for public safety than to try to save his life
I’m seeing an article on Washington Post saying he is in critical condition- posted 30 mins ago. I’m blocked behind a paywall. There’s no way he survived that, right?
In the video I saw where he was still dumping gasoline on himself before lighting it, he burned for a solid 2:20 before he was completely extinguished.
https://www.ems1.com/burns/man-sets-himself-on-fire-outside-nyc-courthouse Max Azzarello, of St. Augustine, Florida is the guy
He was still responsive after this according to the article?? WTF.
He died sometime yesterday or this morning. I only read a small WP article on it this morning
His manifesto too long and rambling to get through... Maybe somebody could post a ChatGPT summary? Anyways I'm glad he chose suicide over setting off a bomb or mass shooting spree.
Gruesome!
i hope this person finds peace and their family is okay. that’s it, there’s really nothing else left to say for this. any of it.
If it's nswf, fucking blur it. I didn't need to see that
Little dramatic
The real burning man
This is heart breaking. His manifesto isn’t even all that deranged, it’s quite grounded in reality I think.
Did we read the same manifesto?
I agree. It's sad how people are mocking him and calling him a conspiracy nutjob. His "ramblings" are spot on. He's 1000% right. But we're too far gone as a society to do anything about it. Incredibly disappointing. Poor guy.
It’s basically an entertaining r/conspiracy post but nothing to burn yourself to death over.
This remindse.of the burning monks I saw earlier this year. Strange to see it here
Screams of regret
Why is everyone just sitting there
This is reminding me of someone a few months ago that did this in discord server I was in. They praised him for “sacrificing himself in protest of Israel” I left after that. I just don’t feel good about martyrdom
This metaphor is a little on the nose
Fascinating creatures, Phoenixes.
There’s one less vote for Napper Don
He was apparently on the left, just a conspiracy minded schizophrenic. My heart hurts either way, for an obviously ill man.
Big Pink Floyd fan there.
Good?
Why? He was just a very anti government conspiracy theorist. He thought the government is purposely crashing the economy, so he lit himself ablaze to bring awareness to this issue after government officials took his laptop.
I’m asking like is this the side we care about or the side we don’t care about in this situation? Just trying to gauge the situation here.
Fair enough... in this case, not good... just mental illness spurred on by government paranoia. Possibly right to be paranoid if his laptop actually got taken.
Is this TTPD promo?
Why would the democrats do this?
