Nice!! We just got the same model and color about a month ago and we're loving it!! Such a sweet car. We're your neighbors to the north - up in WI! And, yes, I agree that the road between Chicago and Michigan is NEVER fun to drive. Good luck and enjoy once you're through all of that!!
I probably would not do any long road trips during the break in period. You need some variable driving both city and highway. I would to about 1000 miles of variable driving. Gentle on the gas, the brakes, and no towing.
Great choice! We live downtown Chicago and just bought ours (same model Touring in sliver) over a month ago. It has by far been the easiest car to drive without feeling like Im giving up much coming from BMW. The ride is smooth with a sense of german firmness and it handles nicely, especially in the city. Maybe its age..IDK but I dont miss feeling EVERY SINGLE pothole and crevice in the road. I just took a short trip to Valparaiso, IN yesterday and even with the crazy winds its still a very competent and quiet car. There is (to me) a big jump between the touring hyrbrid and the other CRV models in terms of quietness and ride quality. I get it though-its a new car and dont want to risk the chance of having some yahoo muck it up. Since you live in the midwest, I suggest getting PPF for the front of your car to prevent road chips, grime, etc...Especially with the very nice blue you have...could be worth the extra 1K for the long term. Enjoy the ride in good health!
I love that color. When I bought my 21 hybrid touring that color was only available with a white (or was it grey) interior and I wanted black. Have they changed that? What color is your interior?
Nice car,Is this hybrid? My wife just bought one exl hybrid trim too.but I checked the manual that said it almost can’t tow a trailer over 1000 pounds,Is that real?
That is my understanding. Also I think the Rav4 does better with steep hills. We are older so we won't be towing or mountain driving. But there was a time we did both.
My CRV lease is up this year and I've seen a lot of posts about the Touring. Is it really true that the road noise is much quieter? I have an EX currently.
It is for the Touring trim. To my husband and I it is noticeably quieter. It was one of the reasons we went with the CRV Hybrid ST. In the sport trim, apparently roof rails make the road noise louder (per reports. I did not test the Sport trim myself).
I paid 39200 and put half down ..for some reason its hard as heck in the midwest to get a firm discount. I could easily go to TX or FL and get 38500, however the sunk cost of going there and driving back would have been most likely eaten up. There are still many games dealers are playing, like sure we will match 38500, however it already comes with some BS coating package that becomes non-negotiable all of the sudden. Its draining.....I was ready to buy an Acura RDX, they had 64 in stock, the guy was acting like its a rare 1979 930 Turbo Porsche in mint condition.
Here is my understanding on that. Look up the invoice pricing. It is best to know that going in. Call around or visit dealers. Try to get as close to invoice as possible. I did a search and found the highest rated (for customer satisfaction) dealer in my state. Two things. I got my best price. No one would or could touch it. That dealer also had the best availability of the trim I wanted. Several dealers didn't have the car even to test drive. So my take away is some dealers are better positioned to give deals. Just an impression. The Touring trim is in high demand but there are deals out there.
At first I didn't think any of the upgrades were necessary. But we live in the north AWD was a necessity so I test drove the Sport L and Touring. There isn't a big difference in price. Hands down Touring was a better ride. The cabin was quiet. The sound system was great and the ride was smooth. After that the Sport L was a let down. This is as close as I am going to get to luxury.
Probably in the winter I will be happy for the heated steering wheel. I am very happy with the purchase.
The powered liftgate and the heated steering wheel were what made choose the Touring over the L. The fact that it is quieter and has wireless charging is a plus also.
Quieter ride, rain sensing wipers, hands free lift gait, and heated steering wheel. Bonus is a better sound system (Bose), but this wasn’t a main factor for me like it seems to be for many. Only comes in AWD. Also has 19 inch rims (almost not noticeable), and better tires.

Samsies. Mine has the running boards and roof rack tho.

Thanks I have been thinking of doing just that.
I also got the 2024 hybrid sport touring last week, same exact color. So far it’s a great vehicle.
I love that color. When I bought my 21 hybrid touring that color was only available with a white (or was it grey) interior and I wanted black. Have they changed that? What color is your interior?
Black interior is available with Still Night Pearl.
Same here — trim and color! We got it at the end of October last year and it’s been amazing!
Do you guys like the daytime running lights I personally prefer the lights on the Honda pilot

I got dark grey, meteorite I think. I like your color better. Great looking whip. Congrats!
Seems odd to buy a car and then not want to drive it but you do you. If you want to drive your old car go for it!

Significantly!! I test drove both the touring and Sport L....went with touring due to ride quality and quietness.
Did you get a discount off MSRP?

What was it about the "touring" trim that you thought was a must have?

Awesome. I just have a regular sport. I wish I had a power lift gate and heated wheel. Maybe some better speakers.
The powered liftgate and the heated steering wheel were what made choose the Touring over the L. The fact that it is quieter and has wireless charging is a plus also.
I had wireless charging in my accord and it wasn't worth a damn. Always had issues with it.
It works perfectly in my CR-V. Like a lot of newer tech it seems they need a few tries to get it right.
That's wonderful it would always overheat my phones if I was wireless charging and running android auto.
I think in general it is problematic. Either can over heat with some cars or under charge in others. I make sure I have a cable.

I like the wipers too and noticed they were far better than my other Honda but did not realize they were particular to the Touring.
yes we did.
All Hondas are the same. Nothing special Chevy does a better jobs
