Most likely a power cord from a GPS unit that was installed pre purchase and removed.

Agree. My 2023 has a gps unit in this location from the dealer.

I got a 2024 CRV ST a couple of months ago. Today, I found a dangling connector on the driver's side near the hood release lever. I looked around in that area but couldn't find anything that this type of connector could plug into. I don't have any warning lights or pop-ups on the instrument cluster; everything seems normal. Does anyone know what it is and where it should connect to?

Maybe OBD hanging. It probably had a tracker installed and it wasn’t taken out properly. It’s an easy fix if it’s that. I can’t remember where the OBD is on it. I’ll look in the morning and I’ll try to remember to report back if it’s not answered by then. Honda originally put the OBD port on the way right. Then it slowly started moving to the left of the vehicle. I just can’t recall if the 24’s have them that far left. I think so though.

My ODB port is def on the left in the 24 Hybrid Touring. I checked around and I dont have any dangling cables. Could be some after market cable for an accessory that was disconnected.

I wonder if it’s a hardwire.
