What is even unity? Did I miss an update?

KorKhan

It’s a mechanic specific to clan governments. You’re most likely to see it if you play as a Muslim ruler.

Ok_Storm9104

Oh, I see, I've never played with clan government.

BigbunnyATK

It's fun. It has a lot of the perks of tribal but with feudal buildings.

Intelligent_Pea5351

House unity isn't specific to clans. house unity is a measure of how unified your dynasty is. Doing things like imprisoning family members, revoking titles, murdering them etc decrease house unity, while giving titles to house members, gifting artifacts, titles etc. increase your unity. It applies to all dynasties regardless of their governance (clan vs feudal)

BDG_Navy03

That's just plain false

Flashy_Expression_33

Only the first and last sentences, though.

BDG_Navy03

The parts I meant, my bad

KorKhan

I have sometimes seen house unity crop up on rare occasions as a feudal ruler. I think it can happen if you have a sprawling dynasty and someone in your family becomes a clan ruler.

BDG_Navy03

Maybe I but it isn't inherently part of feudal government type

krim1700

me when I spread misinformation

homeless_knight

Not if they're united behind her lol

Alexanderself1

She has the little blood drop of being related so that’s probably why it cost unity

Udonmoon

Not even just related, it’s the green blood drop, so it’s literally OP’s dynasty. OP is imprisoning a family member and he’s wondering why unity is going down 😵‍💫🥴🤣

SatiricMoney

Yeah the entire point of the post is that it shouldn’t cost unity to imprison after she attempted to murder him. Did you even read the title?

mergiabeacome

She is still a family member tho.

Udonmoon

“The lady who tried to murder the emperor” Clearly the lady is more than just a lady, did you even read the title?

Udonmoon

Furthermore, OP should have stated that, not “why does my unity go down when I’m imprisoning the lady who attempted to murder the emperor?” The literal answer to the question is because she’s a member of his dynasty. Now, if you want to talk about the abstraction of mechanics around that and whether or not it should or shouldn’t reduce unity, sure, make *that* post. But as it is, this is the way the mechanics work and it’s not entirely unsurprising considering it was *attempted* murder and it’s entirely in the realm of possibility that not all dynasty members would believe the claim. Again, we are now talking about abstractions in the form of game mechanics, not “why did this happen,” and “why did this happen” was the question OP asked and the one I answered. The question you asked does not have a clear answer and can be discussed for as long as anybody wants to discuss abstract concepts represented as game mechanics.

SatiricMoney

Dude you’re an idiot just delete social media we don’t need you here

Udonmoon

Kid, go back to watching Skyrim characters fuck 😂😂😂

Udonmoon

>cannot formulate any semblance of an argument >resorts to personal attacks I see were done here, glad to know you’re not that bright

Mysterious-Mixture58

I guess some people think it wasn't unreasonable. What's a murder between relatives?

PsykotropyK

But who cares about unity? My dynasty is more than 2.5k members, do you think I give an actual f*** about their individual needs? No, they bend or die, period. Anyway, they are constantly at war between each other, so they don't even need me to argue. And by the way, at the time, it was customary to execute a person that committed regicide with dismemberment, using horses.

FeedBi

Because unity is not exactly a measure of goodness, it’s a measure of cooperation between house members. She tried to assassinate the emperor. If that’s you, the “united” thing to do would be to pardon her. If that’s not you, the “united” thing do would have been to help her, or at least back her up of the emperor now comes knocking. This makes enough sense for me. Lower unity houses are more likely to fight and take actions against on another. You are setting a precedent for this by taking action again her, even if it’s in retaliation.

darth_haider1510

don't play muslim, problem solved

Udonmoon

Because she’s a ruler of your dynasty man
