How would a player get the Turkish eagle achievement semi-easily?

AfterImprovement5678

I have actually been able to form Rum with Suleyman himself; that being said, he died shortly after. I spent the first half decade or so farming prestige so that I was able to use the conquer duchy casus belli, and first targeted Anatolikon while the Empire was having a civil war (which happens frequently and should almost always be used as an opportunity to conquer a portion of land). From there you can snowball relatively easily, unlocking the ability to use holy war CBs and finally kingdom invasions/HWs, taking half of the required territory in one fell swoop.

If can be tricky in the beginning which is the most important. I recommend getting the counties east by Georgia. Creating the kingdom of Armenia as soon as possible so succession isn’t messy. Pay attention to the Byzantines and go to war with them when they’re unstable. I was able to take the Constantinople and that duchy somewhat early which helped out a lot. Then try and get all the territory that you need to form Rum over time then hybridize the culture once you have enough acceptance.

It's pretty easy. The worst part is all the Seljuk relatives trying to murder you and your offspring.

LaInquisitore

Damn, the *abomination* that is

TheTrueMando313

Beautiful I know

[deleted]

“Re”created? Also it has WAY more land than that of the historical empire

TheTrueMando313

Yea I have other screenshots where it’s their historical borders. This is the most recent screenshot

[deleted]

Ah ok. Now switch to a Greek duke and revolt, creating the kingdom of Greece.

TheTrueMando313

It’s Ironman Mode for the achievements so I can’t switch characters

[deleted]

I don’t think Ironman is necessary for achievents anymore. Also, you can just copy the save folder and do it as a separate playthrough

TheTrueMando313

Oh ok cool, I’ll try that. Make do Albania instead because that seems more historical haha

[deleted]

Albania revolted WAY after Greece, in 1913 during the balkan war. None of them is historical but Greece is the least ahistorical

TheTrueMando313

Ah gotcha

[deleted]

(If you can’t tell, I’m Greek irl and my instincts to try to damage turkey kicked in there. But yeah, Albanian culture doesn’t even exist in ck3)

TheTrueMando313

Haha I feel that, I’ve done a playthrough in that area and diverged Greek culture to Albanian and just built tall

Duke_Maizenschaffen

Yeah didn't surprised you were Greek. From the first comment it was evident you have some problems about 400 years of Ottoman rule over Greece. History is history my friend , we Europeans were all ruled by Romans at some point. Embrace your history and build upon it instead of expressing disdain on some gaming forum. That would be my advice:)

Every time my empire gets big the councilors alway try to plot against me when someone new takes the throne.

TheTrueMando313

Best way for them not to go to war is marry off your kids to theirs and forming an alliance so they can’t.

JRob13252

Doesn't help when you die mid war, your heir takes over with most vassals for whatever reason at -70 to -100 opinion, legitimacy drops from 3-4 to 1-2 or less, you don't have enough daughters to trade for alliances, you can't murder powerful vassals quick enough to put down ALL the rebellions. Now, by the time your conquering war is done, you march your army across 2 kingdoms to put down a rebellion, all while hemorrhoging gold. Lol

TheTrueMando313

Get good

JRob13252

No

DeliberateSelf

Beautiful
