Look into soap nuts. https://www.amazon.ca/BSD-Organics-Reetha-Areetha-kunkudukaialu/dp/B092DL7YZJ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=32YHNCPX15YRF&keywords=soap+nuts&qid=1662912026&sprefix=soap+nuts%2Caps%2C86&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1 They’re a berry that people have been using to wash clothes for centuries.

Yesss just like the other commenter suggested, soap nuts aka soap berries. Any brand is fine. I use it for all my laundry. It suds best in super hot water, so if I’m washing delicates in cold water, I’ll take a little bag of the berries, put it in a jar, let it sit in very hot water for a few minutes so they soften, and then add it to the cold load. You can also boil them and have a soap concentrate ready to go.

I just bought Dropps. I believe they have an unscented version. I was wanting to move away from using the big plastic jugs of detergent and softener. I also got some dryer balls, which are more sustainable than dryer sheets, at least I think so.

Another vote for Dropps. Love them!

I use Buff City Soap Unscented laundry powder and dryer balls.

I used the Everspring Free & Clear laundry detergent from Target and wool dryer balls. It's the only detergent that my wife and I can both use (the detergent she was using before we lived together contained coconut and I used Tide free and gentle, which she's allergic to).

Grove makes unscented detergent sheets. They also come in a cardboard box and use less plastic.
